best public golf course around. they updated their golf carts with bluetooth speakers, you can see the yardage each hole, the staff at the front desk is always welcoming, and the greens are always beautiful. 10/10 recommend coming here to play. read more

Golf course is in terrible condition. 1/3 of the course is unplayable, the tee boxes are overgrown, the bunkers are full of weeds and dirt, haven't been maintained in a long time, tree limbs hanging over cart paths that are dangerous. Their website says they are the top course in Louisville. Had to pay full price for a nasty course. read more

Several metro courses in the area have been hit hard by the recent flooding but this one is by far the worst. Tee boxes, fairways and "greens" all completely chewed up and replaced by dandelions. Felt like they haven't even tried to maintain this course. Saw that a youth tournament is scheduled here in a few weeks. Good luck with that! read more

Course is fine for the metro. The young people who run everything are absolutely amazing however, there are a few older gentleman who are always extremely rude. When the final siren calls I've been literally screamed at (more like an incoherent drunk mumble) to "get the hell off the course" by employees (golfing on the clock) as myself and two other young kids were clearly walking to our cars. No room for this kind of behavior in a MUNICIPAL golf course. Get these cranky old men out of our resources who gate keep public resources and create toxic environments for tax paying citizens utilizing OUR resources. Hire more young people who are actually respectful and efficient. read more

horrible people, manager is disrespectful as he called me racial slurs and tried multiple times to hit me with a golf ball. Now for the golfers, horrible people as well. Always talks trash behind peoples backs. The course isn't even good, the grass is never cut, there's not enough space to play golf. And it is very expensive. don't ever ever go there read more

I normally don't leave reviews but this place is a hot mess. I booked a tee time a week in advance for my fiancés birthday and included some of our friends. The course was WAY overbooked and the old men working that day made it OUR issue. On the course we were cussed at and harassed my one of the older gentleman working there. Asking us what the fuck we were doing playing a scramble with 6 people and honestly just coming off like a real prick. The old man stated that our group was backing up the entire course, but that simply was not true. We waited over an hour past our tee time to play. Some men came in front of us late to their tee time essentially telling us they were going to jump in front of us. The professionalism of this course is absolute garbage. My fiance and I went into the club house to purchase some more beverages and hotdogs in the middle of the 18 hole day. While inside with a packed house they called me out by name stating that they remembered I hadn't paid yet, previously I tried to pay three separate times but their computer was down. Between the expensive round of golf, expensive hotdogs and terrible customer service I know I won't be back. It was a pretty course but that didn't make up for how my friends and I were treated. It was our first time here and it was for sure our last. I also felt that because I was one of the only ladies in our group that when I spoke I was woken down to and overlooked by the old men working the course that day. All in all I would give a zero star rating and a recommendation to never cuss at paying customers. It's a shame you caught me on a good day. read more

Great course 10 years ago. Has really gone down hill. Called about getting a Saturday T time, and asked about a senior rate. Told YES for senior rate and got the T time. when I arrived, was told the senior rate did not apply on weekends. Bait and switch anyone? Thought the fairways were pretty good but T boxes were overgrown and multiple greens had large dead/dirt patches. Sand traps had no sand and had obviously not been maintained in over a year with large weeds in all of them. Sad. Will not be going back. read more

Came here twice now both times had to leave due to running out of time. 2 holes in 1 hour 30 minutes and 6 holes in 3 hours. Terrible tee time management. Might as well be walk on. Course was decent, pretty friendly staff, but other then that wouldn't come here unless you're looking to spend 7 hours on 18 holes. read more

I played at Quail Chase this morning and was happy to see the course is doing nicely. There were a couple roped off areas of fairway in rehab but everything else was in great shape and about as good as any public course in the area, especially the greens, which were excellent. The driving range is decent and if you download their app you can get GPS yardages instead of dealing with inaccurate yardage signs. Overall I had a good experience. read more

The course was well used. Tee boxes were okay but fairways were a little more rough. Traps were decent and there is no water to worry about at all. There were a few spots under repair. For a average at best golfer it's worth a try. There are three separate 9 hole courses. One is currently closed. $27 with cart for 9. It is crowded be prepared. read more

I have been playing here for over ten years fyi. I would give zero if I could, course has really gone down hill since the city bought it. With that being said the price has gone up. New older guys that run the desk are unprofessional and rude. Plenty of nicer courses around town for less money. Don't waste your time here. read more

Been here twice. The first time we had to play the same 9 holes twice because there was an outing on the other 18, but they never mentioned this when we were booking the tee time. They did give us a discount of 30% or so. The second time the course was in pretty bad shape and the woman who checked us in said she would call us to the tee but never did. Finally we realized we just had to go over there if we ever wanted to tee off. The fairways are in pretty bad shape. Design is ok. They also had it be cart path only which increased time, but it was not very wet. read more

Nice course when they don't have half the course roped off or you're not disabled. They do ABSOLUTELY nothing for disabled people. If you are handicapped plan on climbing hills etc. Obviously the owner(s) are unempathetic. There are a whole 2 handicapped parking places though...of course you have to climb a hill to get to the clubhouse. I'll go elsewhere where owners are humane. Response awaiting. read more

played three holes and got rained out. at first guy behind counter stated "we don't give rain checks unless there's lightning" then lady behind counter said "yes we do". then I was asked how many holes I completed and I responded four! Then I was informed they only gave out "nine hole credit" if you play ANY holes. I told them to keep it. My advice is to make sure there's "NO CHANCE" of rain if you choose to go play this course......... read more

Great course! Played it for the first time this year- fairways were in great shape and have come back well from some trouble past couple years. Greens rolled very true, could have been little quicker, but they hold their line well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating- looking forward to playing there again soon. read more

Played the West / East combination on 9/26/15. I would rate the West nine a ONE. The greens were good but the course was below average as far as layout. There were 3-4 fairways roped off, and one par 5 was playing as a temporary par 3 the day we played. This nine almost seemed like an afterthought, as in lets stuff nine holes into this space. Would never play this nine again. The East course is much better. Feels more like a legitimate golf course. Had some interesting holes and the layout was much better than the West. I would give this nine a 3.5. The whole place in general needs some major upkeep. The clubhouse is old with stained carpet when you walk in. The clubhouse looks like it could blow down with a strong wind. The driving range was mats only and they looked like they had been installed in the 1950's. We didn't play the third nine, but if its anything like the West they should just combine those two and make it a better course. But I know that would be a big investment, and from the looks of the place, I don't think they have plans to put any $$ into upgrading any time soon. The green fees that day were $50. I read quite a few reviews before booking our tee time, and I really have no clue why this place had 4 star and above ratings. We played Champions Point just north of Louisville the day before for the same price (granted it was 2pm), and that course is worth every penny. read more

2 years ago, after a really tough winter, the fairways took an awful beating. But Quail Chase has worked incredibly hard to bring it back up to 4-5 stars. The fairways are really looking good and continue to fill in as the summer progresses....and the greens are first rate. When you combine the great condition with quite possibly the most beautiful wooded setting in Kyana...and add the fact that they have 3 unique 9 hole courses......playing at QC is a wonderful golf experience. I highly recommend it for someone who loves a gorgeous layout and a fun round of golf. read more

I have played this course 5 times in the past month or so. You can't find a better public course in the Louisville area...and I have played them all. In fact, Quail compares favorably to many private clubs. Fairways are in great shape, greens rolling fast and true. Plus, with 27 holes, each time is like playing a different course. Another great thing is that the course is one of the most scenic and beautiful around...winds through woodlands and hills...no housing developments, etc. Gorgeous AND fun to play. Staff there has always treated me like a friend and guest. I love it and would recommend to any golfer at any level. read more
