Great for date night, girls night out, family time or honestly anything!…read more I did the pottery date night class and it was so awesome! It starts out with a small cocktail hour (no alcohol, other beverages and finger foods) in the clay studio gift shop. You get some time to look some cool stuff on display and can purchase them too! The actual pottery making was around 90mins, 60mins on the wheel and about 30mins to glaze the piece. There is one main instructor and a few assistant instructors that walk around and help you out. You watch a demo first and then get hands on at making your own bowl! The instructors are really patient and if you mess up, they'll hand you another ball of clay. I screwed up many of my pieces and got super embarrassed but they'd joke and make it fun. You get to pick 2 pieces to keep out of all the ones you make during the 60mins. I ended up with 2 small succulent pots, super excited to put my plants in! The glazing is pretty simple. There are a handful of basic colors to choose from and you just paint them on. Afterwards the studio will fire the pieces and then ship then to an address you designate. We got ours a little earlier than 2weeks so it was a nice surprise! I would definitely go to another session again and may even commit to the longer semester classes...just need to free up time . If you're considering this, definitely do it!

She treats them all as her own and pushes them to strive way beyond their own expectations. The students that attend this studio are encouraged to set high standards in both their academic education and dance education. The teachers are amazing and from all different dance backgrounds. The teachers work extremely hard, building the minds and bodies of the students, while encouraging the students to enjoy dancing. It not always easy and you have to be on pointe (lol). They are dedicated in making sure the students are strong and developed in their technique. The studio is very welcoming. You will always find a parent willing to help or share. For your convenience, supplies are available at the studio. Items may be ordered if out of stock and available to you within a short period of time. Everything you need is at your fingertips. My daughter goes through a lot of dance tights and I have been able to walk in and purchase a pair whenever needed. Living Arts has allowed my child to obtain amazing dance techniques and become well educated in the art of dance, all while creating the most incredible bonds with old and new friends. She's an only child with many dance sisters. I couldn't ask for a better group of friends or adult role models. Wait!!!! They also have DROP IN CLASSES for adults!!!! Ms. Jaquetta has drop in classes for adults from ballet to hip-hop to African. I took one African class so far. Looking to taking another in the future. I encourage anyone that is interested to come learn a new dance and come make a friend or two. You will definitely have an enjoyable workout.

It might be a somewhat biased review since I've volunteered during a number of their fundraisers, and work on the Clark Park Music & Arts Festival with their Program Director. But in a time where schools have been cutting back on arts and musical education; its easy to give it up for a group that offers music education, academic achievement, and mentoring to underprivileged youth in the community. Through there home base at the church on E. Cumberland Ave Rock To The Future offers after school music education to their students. Rock to the the Future also hosts a summer camp, as well as a mobile music camp where they bring and showcase musical instruments at a number of other events.
