During his care they would have my brother singing, dancing in place, have intelligent conversations with him, take him shopping, along with what is expected of a Health Care Aide taking care of their patient who is confined to a wheelchair with toilet, feeding and showering needs. Over the past year, my brother has been cared for by two to three aides who rotated shifts. They have not missed a single day and have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure my brother's extreme comfort and well-being. Their dedication, patience, kindness, and honesty toward both my brother and his wife have been extraordinary. The tasks of toileting, bathing, feeding, and managing emotional changes are never easy--but thanks to the exceptional support from Wellovah and Ms Morgan (My Angel without wings), we have been able to manage my brother's care easily. From our initial phone call asking all sorts of questions they made us feel like they truly cared for our Dad's well being. Not only did they answer all of our questions, they were very insightful and explained everything to us that we didn't even think of. We set up an in-home evaluation visit, and they also brought one of their caregivers they thought would be a good match to our Dad's needs. While we were going through the paperwork and asking a million more questions I noticed that the caregiver was by my father's bedside adjusting his bedding making him more comfortable and helping him drink some water. Sometimes just doing the little things without being asked makes a real big difference! They made a great match and we never felt more reassured that our Father was in good hands. They also guarantee that if we don't like the caregiver for any reason all we need to do is call their office and the caregiver will be replaced but we never had to do that! Throughout the entire ordeal, Home Care One was there taking the stress out of a very stressful time for our Dad and the entire family. So right off the bat I knew that the quality of care was wanting. The TV was on, tuned to game and reality shows which the staff were closely following...hello? Patients were under your noses. Once they were loudly gossiping about a patient as she was getting out of her car and walking into the facility. Terribly unprofessional.
