This is a great service! I ordered a dishwasher for my very busy banquet location. Guess what??? My…read moredishwasher on the first day was over 30 minutes late and had no dishwashing experience. I spent the majority of my evening training her (you're welcome, Labor Ready! Rhonda is now a certified trained industrial kitchen dishwasher). I expressed my concerns to the local office and they were very nice and apologetic. They promised to send another worker the next day. Julian came, worked hard and was polite. Until his second shift. He is now over an hour late and guess what I've been doing?! Washing dishes! It's my favorite ever to wash dishes in an expensive blazer and heels, especially when I have a catering function to attend to...labor ready, how did you know that this was my favorite thing??? It's not even my birthday! Update: just got a call from a giggly little girl saying Julian would be late - they were at the Farmers Market. Wow. Glad someone got to enjoy their day! Make sure when you call the message center, you ask for Mandy. She has the worst customer service you will ever come across. It's astonishing and something everyone should experience. Almost like an exhibit at an expensive museum.

I have a very friendly person greet me…read more They find out what I need they give me my number and then I wait to go see who I need to see. I asked them a couple of times to refer me to different services and they never have a problem answering. My questions are very friendly. I know that a few people there could be new sometimes so yeah there's a little bit of a way occasionally for the most part and they will help you within 30 minutes maximum. Come to the job center really helped me when I first moved out here with my brothers couple years ago and you needed some groceries and they hooked us up with EBT at the time and we were able to eat on the same day. This is a really great place for you to go handle all your business and take care of it by the end of the day is sometimes those calls can be long way. Well you could just pull up here and get whatever you need done.

Step up, give the appointment time and person that you came to see then you're buzzed into the secure area for your appointment. 1 star for the parking lot and trash everywhere. 5 stars for having a copier in the lobby and WIFI available without a password because the courthouse does not. This just makes life easier. The service reps seemed to be in a decent disposition.

If there was a chance for negative stars, I'd leave that…read more Myself and my three roommates went in wanting to apply to Newell Brands (Rubbermade) factory. The interview went fine, we got the job, everything seemed well. Two of my roommates were all but strong-armed into taking a position there that they didn't want- they wouldn't stop pushing it until they accepted. We went to the orientation and the Lifestyle guy there was handing out out papers for when to come back and all that. Something on mine was wrong and when I asked him if it was just a mistake or if I needed to do something to have it fixed, he just said to call the number on the paper and tell them. He also said the same thing to anyone else who had a question, not bothering to help or answer anything. In the paperwork we filled out, it said that we would only pay $20 for equipment- they charged me $40 on my first check. Orientation was also for four hours and they barely paid for half of that. During the maybe one month that we were at the factory, any time we called out or had to leave early we would receive a voicemail from them "making sure we were coming int for our next shift." Every. Single. Time. They also called us and threatened to cut us down to minimum wage if we didn't show up for our next shift (they called on our day off.) They also called, shortly after the first threat, to threaten to fire us if we didn't come in for our next shift. We go in to pick up our checks and are told by the Lifestyle employee at the factory that we have to go to the actual location of the staffing agency to get our checks. We had never been told this before, even though he claims we should have known. And when we tried to mention starting a new job elsewhere he shut us down and just kept repeating that since we didn't work our two weeks notice we had to go to the agency or wait for it to be mailed. He didn't listen to us after hearing any mention of another job, no matter what we told him. We went straight to the agency from there, maybe a ten minute drive if that, and the man there told us that our checks would be in the mail around monday since our assignments had "been terminated already" and that our checks were already in the mail. This was not our last check by the way. He also kept changing his story when we'd ask him anything. And when we said that the reason one of us missed so much was because she kept getting sick and the factory would force us to take her home since they wont allow her to stay in the breakroom until the rest of us finished, and we carpool. He asked why we couldn't just drop her off and come back. We told him that we live an hour away and don't have gas money for that. His reply is, and I quote exactly, "Well that's because you never come into work!" I tell him that I have only missed 1 and a 1/2 shifts and he just gaped at me for a couple minutes before going back to talking to us like we were lazy and just never went to work and were stupid. He was extremely condescending the entire time and couldn't even keep his story straight during the not even 30 minutes we were there. When told about the threats he just ignored them and kept talking like we never said anything. He also claimed to have "called us constantly" even though we only had five missed calls from them between the four of us for the entire week. When asked if we had already been fired without being notified he said "Yes, theoretically." But our badges, the only way in or out of the building, worked fine just ten minutes earlier when we went for our checks. And since mine didn't work for a week because two numbers were mixed up, they wouldn't have worked if we'd been fired because they would have been deactivated. They expected us to go back to work and continue working until they decided to let us know what had happened. And on top of that, we were given 8 'credits', meaning we could miss 8 shifts, and we had been treated like trash long before we even got close to that. So they literally called twice on our day off to threaten us to come in the next night, refused to give us our checks, and said that we'd already been fired without even notifying us.

FITCHBURG LOCATION: Forewarning to job seekers: before signing on with Express Employment…read moreProfessionals, read the 1-2 star reviews first. My recent experience with Express Employment Professionals, under the direction of Carey A. Campbell (Fitchburg), was deeply disappointing. I applied for customer service roles but was instead placed at a facility where many workers were part of a prison work-release program--never disclosed up front--and in conditions that were dusty and unsafe. When I raised concerns, the agency offered no support and dismissed me instead. In my observation, better placements are inconsistently awarded, with an unspoken bias that professional people of color often feel but cannot always prove. There are already hundreds of negative reviews across job platforms about Express -- including dozens in Madison and thousands nationwide. Forewarning to job seekers: always read the negative reviews on staffing agencies before you sign on. The mission statements may sound appealing, but the reviews tell the real story. _________________________________________________________________________ Business owner information Express Services Business Manager Oct 3, 2025 This Reviewer has never worked for this location. Sorry for your negative experience, but it wasn't our office. HERE IS MY RESPONSE: _________________________________________________________________________ Transparency Matters More Than Brand Protection To clarify, my review is specifically about the Fitchburg location of Express Employment Professionals under Owner Carey A. Campbell. I was placed on an assignment with St. Vincent de Paul through this office. I have documentation to prove that I worked with this branch and that my experience is factual and direct. While I understand the need to protect your brand, denying my experience is not accurate and only confirms a pattern of dishonesty. This review reflects my personal interaction with the Fitchburg branch, not another office. Job seekers and client companies deserve transparency when evaluating a staffing agency, and I stand by the details I have provided and reiterate that I have proof.
