Although QDZ the shop is firmly set in the ground, there is also an additional service which provides alcohol delivery to those who are too drunk or lazy to go into the shop, hence the 'Mobile Off Licence'. I have never personally used this part of QDZ but it sounds like a good service, and seeing as the shop is open till 3, it could come in handy for those living in an area that doesn't have an offie nearby, or open until that time.
The shop itself provided an actually pretty varied and interesting range of beers which I think seems to outdo the other off-licences, off similar size and on the same road. I was particularly pleased to see EFES, which is a Turkish beer being sold here, as I hadn't come across it before, and for around a pound a bottle it was also at a decent price. They also stock Peroni, Sol, Corona and Asaki, which you don't always come across.
For some reason there is also a big range of energy drinks, some really cheap ones, as well as all name brands. Through their selling of these, I became friendly with the shop assistant as I was buying such a large amount during the writing of my dissertation, whilst madly telling him just how stressed I was. I think he appreciated it? But irrespective he was a nice guy, and really friendly, even though at that point his English wasn't great, and my Turkish definitely needed some polishing.
This place is my favourite offie on the Lewes Road, so go. read more
