Yes the signs outside with the offers on can make the place look a little tacky, but ignore it and you'll find a great store with good items for only a pound. They sell items for, gardening, food & drink, beauty, pets, clothing, cleaning, health, art, dvds and cds, headphones and more. There are often offers for 2-for-1 on items too so it can be even cheaper. This is a great place to stock up on essentials such as toothpaste, mouthwash, tea and coffee, plasters. So a good place to stop before a holiday or a festival. The only thing I'd say is go to Poundland first before doing the rest of your shopping because the place gets packed and you won't be able to move about otherwise.

They do special events in the school holidays and to promote other keys times, ie Halloween or Christmas. It has an undercover carpark attached, which is not too expensive and is good for when it is raining. There are two coffeee shops in the middle, my favourite is Esquires. All in all, this is a good place to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon, for some retail therapy.

Some items change frequently so it's a good idea to pop in from time to time to see what they've got new in stock as if it's something really good it may not last long.

I bought something in here once that had been under-priced by mistake, but they honoured their pricing and sold it to me at the lower price. I feel their customer service is good.

My first time there, so give me a break, hey I only wanted petrol (well chocolate too) and had been told it was 'right around the back'. Ok, I understnd that instruction. But it evaporates when, as a newcomer, you enter the entrance of the car park. Where the heck is the back? I'd missed the sign of course, so I tootled round and about, and saw a chap in a reflector jacket, I asked him the way. He made sense, was insructive and clear, until I got to the corner he told me about. Hmmm, what's the worst that could happen? I kept going and finally actually saw a sign, just as I clocked the petrol station. The staff were very friendly indeed, and amused at the quantity of chocolate I bought. My problem is always (and wherever I am) not being able to find my car when I finish shopping! Not funny when it's a freezing winter's night and one is having a youthful incontinence moment!!!!! The selection of fresh fruit and veg, fish and meat (everything really) in Tescos is brilliant and it is very hard to drag me away from the chocolate aisle! I am a Cadburys Dairty Milkaholic and it has to be the largest possible bar available! I get severe withdrawal symptoms when I detox ocassionally due to the jeans waiste tightening feeling!!! When going through one of these periods I linger for many minutes at a time just looking at the chocolate on the shelf and willing myself not to put any in my trolley!!! A couple of weeks of this and the cravings disappear! I can spend hours in Tesco just looking, wishing to buy and thinking can I or can I not afford (clothes, books, shoes, bags, electrical goods, toys, games, kitchen ware, paint, DIY, the lot)! You name it Tesco has it! It's clean and staff are helpful plus usually share a joke with you, which always makes a day feel even better! I also have 2 lovely large cloth green bags but unfortunately I keep leaving them at home or, when I put them in the boot of my car I forget to take them out before going into the store! Is this an age things I wonder! Probably more honest to say I've always been a bit of an eejit!!! I do love you Tesco! Thumbs up!
