I would shop around before going with her. She is rude, obnoxious, hesitant to provide documentation for her offers.

They follow up with a meeting to discuss, if needed. I had proposed a small change and provided a rationale. They made it happen. They are very client focused. Also, being independent, as contrasted to one of the major investment advisory firms, they take a more personalized approach with limited bureaucratic stuff. I've found them extremely responsive to my questions. I'm 3 months in as of now, and all my questions have been answered within the same day in which I send them. They are happy to explain how things work, and why the portfolio is optimal for me, and even run probability numbers to show likely scenarios years down the road. Very easy to work with.

UGH what a total [insert bad word here]…read more As part of my job, I have to call to verify a couple of information regarding a loan. When I called Qing to verify with her some info she had sent to one of our mutual client to pass onto us, she freaking screams back at me over the phone saying "It's your job you figure it out! I don't have time for this nonsense! You're suppose to do all this! Go call the client and ask him the details!" Um.. isn't that what the client is paying YOU to do? bottom line is.. she's rude, disrespectful, and hard to deal with even over the phone. oh and the kicker is, after screaming at me over the phone for a good 10 minutes she had the audacity to tell me she needs the forms completed by me IMMEDIATELY! then hung up on me! needless to say, I waited til the end of the day to complete that one just to piss her off a little.

The trouble started when she offered me a rate I thought was uncompetitive. I explained my reasoning -- the rate was above market average while I have stellar credit and substantial equity -- and asked her to improve it. She refused and turned hostile. She told me I was a bad customer, that I treated her with disrespect, that she was only helping me as a favor, etc. She continued being rude and condescending in all subsequent conversations I had with her. When I told her this attitude was unprofessional and unacceptable, she redoubled her verbal abuse. I "fired" her on the spot and will never work with her or refer friends to her again.

Avoid PRIYA SAGAR like the plague…read more Someone at Fidelity referred me to Priya Sagar for help with broader financial strategy. We met in her office to review my portfolio and discuss where Fidelity might add value. Priya spoke at length about her managing money for clients with portfolios exceeding $100 million, and emphasized how dedicated she was to her work. We agreed on clear next steps: she would send me materials to review and a link through which I could share my portfolio details ahead of a follow-up discussion. Unfortunately, none of that happened. Her office scheduled a follow-up call, but Priya never sent the promised information. I reminded her office that I was waiting on those materials so the meeting could be productive, and they said they would follow up with her. Still, nothing came through. At that point, I decided not to continue. To me, credibility starts with doing what you say you will do. In my experience, the claims made in the meeting were not matched by the follow-through. A lot of confidence, but very little substance is just hubris.

This happened right after I moved back to the area and changed my account info so I'm guessing I triggered a Schwab customer profiling alert or something. My funds had been untouched (and withering away) for a couple of years anyway so their strategy to get me in the branch worked. I planned on throwing it all in a retirement age target fund but Claudia showed me how to use their website to reallocate without ditching my good funds. She was very helpful and didn't try to push any services. At the start of the appointment I was a little suspicious, but I left feeling like it was time well spent. (I think they just moved from down the street to this new location next to the Merlion.)

I asked clear, specific questions about a Roth IRA and the staff member couldn't answer them. I had to repeat myself multiple times just to get a straight response, and even then, nothing was helpful. The meeting dragged on until I finally cut it short myself. Only once she realized why I was there did she rattle off a 30-second explanation and then tell me I'd have to figure it out on my own. Completely unprofessional and dismissive. I walked out unsatisfied, frustrated, and honestly shocked at how little effort or knowledge was shown. Do yourself a favor--skip this branch entirely and take your business somewhere that actually values and helps its customers.
