Review of Sept 19, 2021, dinner for 2.
Solid 5 stars in all categories: excellent service & food presentation, quality of food, the location ( right in front of the Cathedral). Drinks: Cava Sangria ( "white Sangria"), go for a carafe - it is lights, flavorful and refreshing , trust me - a glass is not enough. For appetizer, we shared chicken croquettes with saffron alioli souse. Tastes as whipped chicken mouse inside with thin crispy breaded covering. My husband loved it, I didn't too much as , in general, I am not a big fan of mushy stuff, so I guess it is all a matter of taste. For those who like croquettes, these are excellent. We also had freshly baked baguette with alioli and olives - excellent if you eat bread. For the main course, we tried the catch of the day - fried breaded octopus with kimchi alioli and a little salad garnish. Fresh, tasty, flavorful and beautifully presented. Another main dish was fish & seafood creamy rice with saffron flavor. Lots of seafood pieces, nicely blending with perfectly cooked risotto style rice. Deserts: creama Catalonia (signature desert of this restaurant) and Ponacotta with berries' jam. I couldn't decide which one I liked more. Both were superb. read more
