3.5 Stars. We probably caught it on an off day because there was no staff on site at all. I was super excited as we drove into Grand Marais to see the mini golf as one of the first things along the highway. Animals!! I love animals!! We arrived and no one was behind the counter. It's honesty policy so we paid our cash in the bin and commenced to our mini golfing adventure. It's standard and all the same. One painted miniature per field but no fun or creative twists to the actual holes. Compared to Minneapolis, there was no creativity to the actual goal of hitting the ball into the holes. The goats were absolutely adorable! We had fun looking at them and them looking at us as we hit it. I had a hard time looking at the birds. I didn't know if it because there was no staff present at the time, but the turkey looked agitated the entire time with ruffled feathers and the chickens seemed like they were attacking the other birds. Once again, I'm sure it could be a misunderstanding but I wish the birds could be separated. They kept fighting. It was very distracting from the mediocre holes. The peacock by himself was also gorgeous to look at. I can see why kids would love this place and I very much enjoyed the decor of the place though maybe because of the pandemic, there were a few areas that left us scratching our heads. The holes themselves were a little too basic for my taste- no creativity in the game. However, if you want a slower day in Grand Marais, I think this is a nice spot. read more

This place was great for the whole family! We celebrated my birthday here and were very happy to see how affordable it was. The goats made us all laugh and we were surprised by how smart and friendly they were. We were all surprised by their little tricks the did and their funny little noises. The staff was very nice and it really seemed like they cared about you and the amount of fun you had golfing. Nothing but smiles and laughs from them. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has children or wants to go out with the family and share some laughs!! I have never been mini golfing anywhere better than this place. :) read more

Mini golf purist heaven. No cheesy giant dino to shoot under. No moving windmill to dodge. 18 holes of angles, curves, inclines and declines each with a painted rock obstacle. The greens are immaculate. The sweet bonus is the goats and birds (chickens, duck, turkeys...) that you can feed when you get to hole 7 (I think). The goats dash down from their high perch in the middle of the course and join the birds to beg for corn once you put the coin in the machine. Frenzy! This was the highlight of the golfing experience! There is also gemstone mining where you buy a bag of sand/rocks and use the sluice to find the gems inside. If the kids were younger they would've loved shaking their screen in the running water to see what they could find hidden! This place is right on the highway on your way into twn. Can't miss it. The mini golf place was amazing!! They had many animals you could feed or pet. They had baby goat, chickens, doves, sheep, and even a peacock. The experience is one for all ages and it's not too cheesy. I would recommend and go again. read more

So impressed by the details! Besides providing a good game of mini golf for our family, the animals were such a help for keeping our 6yo entertained as we waited for the next hole. The activities out front provided a great place for our young kids to play with grandma while we finished our game. Kudos! Highly recommend for families of all ages. read more

Very fun mini golf. The pets were cool. Par was somewhat difficult. It took around an hour. You can feed the animals, but it costs 25 cents to do so. read more
