This is a fun place, frequented by the more opulent and trendy Gothenberg people. A mix of middle class and people wanting to schmooze potential business deals. The theme is 1920's Western glamour with Mexican food. The theme is so well done, it has a realy authentic feel, even the more made up things like the menus being like proper newspapers of the period. T he waitresses and waiters are the usual young good looking well spoken people that makes this place a trendy place. The food is good, I really liked it, however the courses are not big, some of the main courses are more like diet food! I did not have a starter and so cannot say if it would have been big or small, but I was not hugely hungry when I arrived and later on needed to go to McDonalds for chips. This is especially relevant considering how cold Sweden can be so people need to eat more so that their bodies can generate heat. A great fun experience, but do not expect a huge feast.

Food was good, a mix of flavors changing tapas between octopus and lobster with a mix of fried avocado. I am not giving 5 stars because the octopus was a bit hard maybe because the dry grill process but flavor was awesome, and the service was slow.

Wow, what a place. I was immediately enchanted by this place as soon as I walked in. We were not greeted by some angry door man who hates his job. Instead, the door was opened for us by a smiling, friendly handsome man that welcomed us in. It was a Saturday night at 12. I, being used to Oslo bars and such, was convinced there was no way we would find a place to sit, but we turned a corner and right in front of us was an empty table with room for the four of us. Now I was convinced this place was some sort of heaven. The interior was enough for my ADD to take hold. While the other three were lost in conversation, I was lost in staring at the draped ceilings and decor as well as the clothes of the people working there. The music fit the theme of the place and at least had the sound of coming from a record player. It was just the right volume as well, so that one could hear the music, but also hear the person talking to them from across the table without having to shout. I am not sure which era they were trying to capture, but it is somewhere within the 1920s to 1940s. Either way, I was in love. My love for this place grew even stronger when I tried their passion mojito. I am not sure what was in it, but it definitely brought out my passion for mojitos. In Oslo, when one orders a mojito and the bar is packed, you will get an eye roll, a sigh, and possibly even be denied even though it's on the menu. Here, the bartender took my order with a smile and a "coming right up". I seriously can't say enough things about this place to capture how I feel about it. I didn't want to leave. It was just so warm and cozy and inviting, everything bars in Oslo are not.

I must give this place (concept) five stars!…read more It is neck to neck (same but still not) to Puta Madre. Basque opens an hour earlier on week nights. They serve pintxos (snack bites, appertizers) that taste delicious! The buffet of pintxos is refilled all the time with fresh often completely new different types. Don't be afraid to ask the chef anything about the pintxos. He is more than happy to help you! Super friendly and service minded staff! The selection of bottled beer is exceptional! If you are into other draughts than just plain lager you will be surprised by the excellent choices of IPA and pale ale on tap that they have. Kudos for that! The glasses they serve in are only half pints though. This place is perfect for afterwork. Go here for snack bite and a drink. Maybe before having dinner at PM next door. They accept AMEX!!

The beerselection is huge! (The boys were very happy about this) I had a Gin&tonic and I've never seen anyone bringing so much love into cocktailmixing! This girl was amazing and so passionate about her job, it was pure joy watching her work. It was yummy! We will definitely go here again and then I'll also try their fingerfood. I'll also try the sisterrestaurant Puta Madre which is just a door away. You passed through it when you had to use the bathroom. The food smelled delicious and the atmosphere was really cosy! can't wait to come here!
