I was ecstatic to see this store at Ridgedale Center. I came here originally to check out Dick's Sporting Goods. Instead, I ended up in a lineup for Hello Kitty items for nearly two hours. After that, I decided to check out the mall and this store. Earlier this year, at the Urban Outfitters in downtown Toronto, it had a Walkman-like device where you pop in a cassette tape, connect your earbuds to it, and play your music proudly as if you were in the 80's. I sadly didn't see it in this store. Maybe that was a blessing in disguise. I would have bought it, but needed to wait till I returned home to play my cassettes. I loved the lavender mini waffle maker by Dash. It was in my favourite colour, but I already have a similar one. I passed on it. The store had notebooks for the stationery lover. It also had mini lightning, from bubble tea, to Garfield. It truly is an awesome store. I could live in it forever. Oddly, what caught my attention was a Hello Kitty and friends t-shirt. The Hello Kitty Cafe popup did not have any t-shirts. I ended up getting one here at a cheaper price. I needed to try it on. I grabbed a couple of different sizes and headed to the change room. I had a delightfully friendly man who took my t-shirts over to a change room, propped the door open with a rather large wooden cube, hung the t-shirts up, and said to take my time and holler if I needed anything. He took one look at my new Hello Kitty pink canvas bag containing my purchases and asked if I enjoyed the cafe popup. I did! It was worth lining up to experience it and get some cool items. I loved how excited he was for me. His enthusiasm was infectious and refreshing. I loved his flair and pure joy being at this store. You could tell that he loved working here and genuinely loved chatting with everyone, including me. I tried both t-shirts on. Both fit. I went with the roomier one. You can't have the Sanrio gang look like they want to pop out of your t-shirt because it's too tight, you know. He was happy that I got one that worked for me. He took the one that I didn't want and wished me a great day. I reciprocated and kept shopping. There is a discount section near the change rooms. I saw a mini humidifier, which now seemed like a precursor to my using my mini one towards the end of the trip. This one in the store was cute, but I already had one with me, and two similar ones back home. It was a steal at $5. I went to pay for my item at the cashout area. I was briefly distracted by the snacks in that area. So evil! My willpower kicked in and I only bought the t-shirt. I paid with a credit card. All went well. The man put my t-shirt in a reusable, slender bag. I loved it so much that I brought this bag home. I thanked him and left with my purchase. My t-shirt is comfortable and cozy. I'm so glad that I saved a bit by getting it here instead. This Urban Outfitters is great. It has items that I love and staff are super friendly. I'd return here when I'm in the area. (397)

She was so patient and helpful with sizing, ordering, looking for more of the product I wanted. This is one of the only stores in the US you can order not just Dirndls, but also Mieders. Mieders are amazing because you get a great festival look that you can wear with your OWN jeans! Great for travel and when it's fall in Germany because I find it a bit cold. Store is operated out of a residential basement so if it feels like you're driving into the middle of a neighborhood then you're on the right track. She has a little round about by then entrance and signage once you get close so you know you're not just driving onto some strangers property. It's tight inside since she has little trinkets and souvenirs packed in wherever there is space. There's food, collectibles, clothing and more! If you've visited or lived in Germany then you'll probably find something that reminds you of the area. She orders most of her products from German retailers and shops directly, everything we found was definitely authentic. Some items you can find at World Market or online for a little less, but the majority I've only seen in Germany. If you have a friend or relative that you want to surprise with some cool gifts from Germany then this is a good place to start.
