Come on guys...please up your game a little. The food is basic bar food. Bland and nothing to rave about. The beer is cold so yay for that. It's the service that is going to kill this sports bar. I honestly believe the staff they have are trying to do their jobs but they're are overwhelmed. Usually one girl handling at least 10 tables. 10 minutes for the first beer and 30 for food is typical. Management needs to choose between having people be continually disappointed and staying away from Purple Toad, or spend a little more for quality ingredients and an extra host/hostess or two. The atmosphere is festive and it has a cool vibe. The bartenders we have had have been super nice and attentive. Now to the FOOD. They need to clean house in that kitchen and get better recipes and a line who knows how to turn out food on time and hot. I have never sent food back to a kitchen until the last time I was here and ordered the spinach artichoke dip, it was disgusting, cold and a thin liquid sour cream - it had zero cheese and no spinach. I think they thought they could fool me, but I worked in restaurants and kitchens and have owned my own restaurant. The food is not good and we really want it to be. Every new place has their kinks to workout, but for only being open less than two weeks I see lots of potential for the Toad. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is lively and the food is tasty. Another case of "opened before their ready" sun glaring in your eyes, untrained servers, scrambled egg on a chef salad, no mayo, mustard, on the burgers. We ordered off the menu chicken wrap, shrimp and grits, and a cheeseburger. Waiter came back 5 minutes later to tell us that they did not have 3/4 of their menu available because they ran out of food the first day they opened. Wouldn't that be something you might want to tell your waiters when they arrive for work? We also asked what the big barrel was, server said "we haven't been told how that is going to work, but I think it's going to be a self serve beer bar, where you will swipe a card or something" The ambiance and bar is really good, great place to watch a game. Have been a customer of the Toad since they opened. Last night had the worst service/experience i have ever had at any of the Falcon businesses. Stood at a table waiting for service for over 15 minutes. Ordered a pitcher of beer and tomato juice. Over ten minutes later received a half glass of tomato juice and a bottle of beer? Told the waitress this isn't what i ordered and she said, " Sorry the person that took your order was our hostess, not a real waitress. So? We're out of Bud Light on draft, she then stated. Went tonight...were told by the new hostess that there was a wait (no problem), asked to sit at the bar by the dart boards (like we have done a million times), but were told we were not allowed to sit there or stand there to wait. This place is just ok. I ordered the margarita pizza and it came without pizza sauce. So, imagine the pizza dough, cheese, a few tomato slices, and a chiffonade of basil. Bland to say the least. I asked if this was normal, or if the sauce was forgotten. The server said it doesn't come with sauce. To be fair, she gave me a ramekin of sauce to dip the pizza in. With that being said- margarita pizza comes with sauce. Any other pizza place that serves " margarita pizza" has pizza sauce on it. That's how you make it. If the purple toad wanted to serve their own take on a margarita pizza- then state that in the menu. Have your servers warn of the difference. By the way, a pizza without the sauce is called pizza Bianca. Service was slow, and could've been friendlier. Whew... rant over! read more

We have been living in Falcon for almost two years now and once we discovered this place we fell in love. However, over the course of these past two years this place has really started declining. Today my mom and I decided to give it ago since we hadn't been in awhile and heard they may have new management. The waitress obviously didn't want to be at work and had no hustle even though she seemed to be the only waitress there with about 8 tables. She also told us the cook was sick which was reassuring since they are making our food. We had spi icu dip, wings, and a Hawaiian flatbread. Only the wings tasted good. It took us forever to get our checks and we never did get the box for the wings we asked for. After waiting for ten minutes we just left. I have visited the purple toad quite a few times now and I do enjoy the bar!!! Different beers and a lot of menu items. We have tried a few things and love it, especially the cheese curds. I love the set up and that there are things to do such as darts and pool. It's cold now, but their outdoor patio area is so nice! Meaghan is by far my favorite bartender but I truly enjoy most of the others as well. Pearla is also a lot of fun. The only reason I took a star off was the bartender today Hannah. I normally call to see who is bartending because I like to have fun and see fun people. Today I didn't. This girl was rude and I will never return on her shift. Scouting out places to eat near my new home, I ventured in to the Purple Toad. The décor of the place definitely fits the name and the place made me smile. Got seated quickly and the service was pretty spot on. Kept us informed on the pacing of the food and my wife and I didn't feel like they were intruding in on conversations. It's like they knew just when to break in during conversation. The pretzel bites were fantastic! This is one of my wife's favorite appetizers so she definitely knows who has good ones and bad ones...these she loved. We ordered an all meat pizza...and I'd say the only thing that was a let down for me was the pizza needed to be decked to give the pizza a crisper crust. They have an extensive menu and I do plan on going back to try out a lot more...especially since they will only be 2 miles down the road from me. read more

I ordered wings today and they were not fully cooked. They were chewy and the sauce was watery. So I then ordered cheese curds and they burned them. How do you burn or over cook cheese curds. Disappointing that they've allowed their food to go down hill. Also, the guy working the front door is condescending. I would strongly recommend people to stay away.
