I could not have made a better choice with either. Both Sonny and his wife Rhonda helped me pick an appropriate color. They did the front and rear seats. In addition, the Mustang has side airbags in the seat backs so just any old upholstery or seat cover won't do. The upholstery has to allow the air bags to expand where they are supposed to in a collision. The Katzkin product has special seams that allow that and Sonny's installer must perform an additional process with the airbags to assure everything works as it should. Sonny wanted two days to do it but I was called first thing the morning of the second day and told it was done. It looks and feels like a new car now. Leather upholstery is not for everyone as it is very expensive. If you decide on cloth instead, Sonny can do that as well. I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job or better quality than Sonny. If you need new upholstery, go see Sonny.

He is a miracle that we prayed over 15 years for, and Katie guided us on our journey to the greatest blessing of our lives. Working with Katie was like giving our adoption journey vitamins, superfoods, and a big helping of TLC, then pressing the fast-forward button. We wanted to adopt for many years, but weren't sure where to start. We felt overwhelmed by the number of agencies, the cost, and knowing the right questions to ask. We heard about Purl and started to read the website, which offers so much helpful and timely information, resources, and links. Education is a big part of working with Katie. She wants hopeful parents to go into the process with as much preparation as possible. We participated in three financial workshops where we learned about grants, budgeting, fundraising, and the adoption tax credit. During our home study process, Katie helped us creatively and thoughtfully design our family profile. Her graphic designer and printer took the worry out of the process, so that we could enjoy gathering our photos and focusing on the words we wanted to share. Katie's guidance led us to complete the process very quickly, and we were able to hit the ground running and apply to our first situation on day one of certification. During the matching process, Katie worked very hard so we could apply to as many birth families as possible, even personally delivering our profiles to an attorney in 115-degree heat. She is a proactive and diligent communicator and always kept us in the loop and shared her honest feedback. She helped us edit our letters to birth families various times with in-depth thoughtful comments and always responded promptly if we had a question or adoption opportunity. At all stages, she was there to support us. The adoption journey is full of emotions and intricacies at every turn, and it is invaluable to have someone to help with questions, coaching, and be an overall guide. Adoption was a dream we hoped would one day come true for us. With Katie, it became a reality, and her work ripples in every smile of our sweet, precious son. The world of private domestic adoption is the most chaotic a la carte menu you will ever encounter, and having knowledgable allies to help you navigate agencies, attorneys, and expectant parent interactions is necessary. Tessa, our wise, responsive, patient advisor at Purl, was part adoption expert, part therapist to anxious adoptive parents (that would be me). Katie, Purl's founder, has a tougher edge but will advocate and nudge other professionals when needed. Together, they make a good team. Adoption, as an individual set of relationships, can be beautiful; as a system rife with injustice and disorganization and dubious ethics, it can be downright ugly. That's why it's even more important to work with people who vet the ethics of every professional in their network, and help you weigh the pros and cons of each choice in the process. (Ultimately, though, you can and should make the choices yourself.) Instead of taking the time to listen to their nanny, it seemed like protecting their reputation and keeping clients happy was the priority. I expected more support, communication, and fairness from an agency that claims to advocate for nannies. Based on my experience, I did not feel valued or supported, and I would not recommend them to other nannies looking for an agency that will stand by its caregivers.
