Booked Callaway Gable for our engagement shoot in Venice and wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel…read more Their rate was definitely on the premium side but far less than some of the other local "luxury" wedding photographers. To be honest - I'm so glad we were able to get Callaway Gable. Comparing their against any of our other prospective photographers... we really lucked out. The things they are able to do with their cameras is quite magical. They are very technically skilled but their creativity is insane.... Their dedication to the shot - They were always willing to do whatever it took to get the shot right. We were received warnings from security, dodged cars, and Brian repeatedly sat in a bush riddled with thorns to get the shot. Their shots - They did all the standard shots required of any wedding... and more. I wish I could see the world through their eyes. There were so many occasions where Brian or Allison would abruptly stop us and we'd break out into a spontaneous photo shoot. We didn't really understand the shots and placed our trust in them and damn... they created magic before our eyes. Just seeing the previews in their viewfinders completely blew us away. I knew they were good but these moments/shots really made me understand that these two were special. The photographers - At the end of the night, my new wife and I agreed that Allison & Brian are our new hashtag relationship goals. They function incredibly well as a duo but also seemed quite cute when together. We're very happy to have met them. In conclusion - If you book anyone else to shoot your wedding... you're making a mistake. If you want boring generic wedding photos that like everyone else's, go else were. If you want over-exposed, whited out, cookie cutter photos ignore my review. Do you want photos that help you relive the magic of your big day? Do you want photos you are proud to show off? Do you want a cookie? Book Callaway Gable. (Disclaimer: they do not offer cookies.)

We…read morehad zero regret paying for such impeccable talent, professionalism, experience and expertise -- they were worth every single penny. Reliving our big day through their lenses was a surreal experience. Just a few days before the wedding, they were able to quickly come up with a schedule that worked for us despite our last-minute changes. Allison and Billye provided clear directions and elicited some chuckles to make us feel as relaxed as possible during the shoot and definitely got the best shots of us as a result! As if that wasn't amazing enough, they turned around our wedding photos within ONE week. Undoubtedly, this must have taken hours and hours of hard work and sleepless nights. We were in complete disbelief as we were expecting these to take a good couple weeks or even months! When we rushed home after dinner excitedly to run through these photographs, we were blown out of the water. Every shot they sent us captured a special moment-- our love story, the raw emotions of our family and friends, and the hard work devoted into the details of the wedding. This is incredibly priceless. The photos were also beautifully edited and some of the shots of the scenery / backdrop were so spectacular that they look straight out of an editorial shoot! We cannot recommend them enough. Thanks so much Callaway Gable for being our wedding photographers!!

I have known Michael Brannigan for years, so when it came time for my wedding, it was a no-brainer…read morewho would shoot it for me. Michael took the most amazing photos of our wedding day. We received 700 of the most special memories I could imagine and we were completely blown out of the water. Not only did he manage to capture the emotion and essence of our day, it also seems that he was able to capture so many of the little details such as my Mom's reaction to me walking down the aisle, my best friends toasting at their table after speeches, my husband brushing away a tear during our first dance, the list goes on. The care and attention to details, along with talent is what sets Michael apart from other photographers. I don't have a single complaint, and couldn't be happier. I could not more highly recommend a wedding/event photographer, and am thankful from the bottom of my heart.

We decided not to have a videographer and have two wedding photographers instead…read more As a result, I had the pleasure of having John Boone (+assistant) as one of my wedding photographers for my special day. He was very professional and captured many special moments. It is important to note that their prices are not cheap but they do an amazing job and therefore I think it is worth the money. Also, we had originally booked with a different photographer (Brandon Humes) but there was a scheduling conflict. They were very professional with letting us know and gave us a free engagement sitting for our willingness to switch photographers (although there were only a handful of pictures I liked from that sitting so I got a bit worried)... Luckily they totally came through and produced gorgeous wedding photos! The photo of me and my husband kissing in my profile is taken by John. Most recently he was a finalist (but finished 3rd) on THE SHOT and I watched every episode. :) It is also important to note that they have a satellite office in Santa Monica but it is only open by appoints so call ahead if you want to meet your photog there.

Way before the wedding, they set up time to get to know us as people and to see how they could help make our vision for the day a reality. They even came with us to the venue for a pre-walkthrough to scope out some potential spots. The day of, all we had to do was let them direct traffic. They know where best to stand, how best to pose, what the best lighting is, etc. During the ceremony and beyond, they captured our best moments without being intrusive in the slightest. The turnaround time for our photos was very short, and they came out better than we could ask for. A quick note on both Jose and Lindsay - they are a great duo and are a great example of what a good marriage should be. This kind of positive, radiant energy will always be contagious and is reflected in their work.

They have the best chemistry and are a dynamic duo and even though we were tight on time, they remembered to get all the shots I wanted (even I had forgotten). I could not have asked for better photographers! We absolutely LOVED our sneak peeks and cannot wait to see everything else! I highly recommend if you are looking for a photographer!

Look no further for beautiful, romantic, and dreamy photography for your engagement/wedding!!!…read more The search for a photographer probably took the longest and was the MOST effort for my husband and I. After looking through so many different photographers and their styles, I knew that I wanted a light, bright and airy type of photography style, but so many photographers I saw were completely out of my price range. With a lot of luck, I stumbled upon Izida on WeddingWire. From the get go, she was super responsive and we immediately set up a Zoom call so we could get to know each other. From just meeting her, I could tell Izida was such a kind and caring person and she really loved photography. I was worried about booking a photographer who would treat my husband and I just like any other client, but Izida really made us feel so special and she really wanted to get to know us. Izida's package was budget-friendly and truly had tons of value, especially since she includes an engagement session and a venue walkthrough. She even checked in with us multiple times throughout the wedding planning process just to see how it was all going and to see if she could help us find any vendors or answer any questions. Izida truly went above and beyond and I haven't even gotten to how beautiful her photography is yet!!! I have already looked at our engagement photos and wedding photos 10+ times and they bring me back to the wedding day and capture so many of the moments that we missed on the day of. Not to mention that Izida gave us a sneak peek of our photos just a few days after the wedding day and even gave us ALL of our wedding photos just a few weeks after our wedding - I don't know how she does it with such a crazy schedule! Overall, would 1000000% recommend Izida! She's the best :)

From the initial consultation, Izida took the time to understand what we wanted, the vision we had, and when we didn't have much of the vision, she provided recommendations and suggestions. She provided advice on what to wear and how to prepare. I felt super taken care of during the initial process and like she really knew what she was doing. Then came our engagement shoot. Izida was REALLY good at directing us and helping us feel more comfortable in front of the camera. We'd had another photographer do our first engagement photos who also did good work but was SO BAD at directing, we also wore the wrong clothes and just didn't prepare. So having Izida actually PREP us ahead of time - magical. We also loved how fun she was, she was easy-going yet focused and just easy to be around which is obviously important for such a big day. Then, Izida met with me for our venue walkthrough in Escondido. She was thorough and detailed about looking for options for photos. You can tell she really cares about her clients. And lastly, our wedding day. She has a VISION!! She had great ideas and presented them well, she stuck to the timeline - she was probably better at sticking to the timeline than our wedding coordinator which is very impressive. She was on point, got fantastic shots, directed us well, and the results? I mean, the results speak for themselves. We are IN LOVE with our photos. The editing style is consistent and beautiful. She knows how to capture the right angles and make people's inner sparkle come through. Her work is absolutely brilliant and I will be surprised if she doesn't soon start charging 5x her current rates. She is that good! I honestly feel like some of the photos, especially the B&W ones look like they're right out of a magazine. BOOK HER IMMEDIATELY! You won't be disappointed.

My husband does NOT usually like his photo being taken but he said his favorite part of the wedding was when we snuck away from the reception to take sunset photos with June!!
