Booked Callaway Gable for our engagement shoot in Venice and wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Their rate was definitely on the premium side but far less than some of the other local "luxury" wedding photographers. To be honest - I'm so glad we were able to get Callaway Gable. Comparing their against any of our other prospective photographers... we really lucked out. The things they are able to do with their cameras is quite magical. They are very technically skilled but their creativity is insane.... Their dedication to the shot - They were always willing to do whatever it took to get the shot right. We were received warnings from security, dodged cars, and Brian repeatedly sat in a bush riddled with thorns to get the shot. Their shots - They did all the standard shots required of any wedding... and more. I wish I could see the world through their eyes. There were so many occasions where Brian or Allison would abruptly stop us and we'd break out into a spontaneous photo shoot. We didn't really understand the shots and placed our trust in them and damn... they created magic before our eyes. Just seeing the previews in their viewfinders completely blew us away. I knew they were good but these moments/shots really made me understand that these two were special. The photographers - At the end of the night, my new wife and I agreed that Allison & Brian are our new hashtag relationship goals. They function incredibly well as a duo but also seemed quite cute when together. We're very happy to have met them. In conclusion - If you book anyone else to shoot your wedding... you're making a mistake. If you want boring generic wedding photos that like everyone else's, go else were. If you want over-exposed, whited out, cookie cutter photos ignore my review. Do you want photos that help you relive the magic of your big day? Do you want photos you are proud to show off? Do you want a cookie? Book Callaway Gable. (Disclaimer: they do not offer cookies.) read more

Callaway Gable - Event Photography Near Me

W.O.W. Where do we even begin? Callaway Gable are by far the best photographers EVER. Period. We had zero regret paying for such impeccable talent, professionalism, experience and expertise -- they were worth every single penny. Reliving our big day through their lenses was a surreal experience. Just a few days before the wedding, they were able to quickly come up with a schedule that worked for us despite our last-minute changes. Allison and Billye provided clear directions and elicited some chuckles to make us feel as relaxed as possible during the shoot and definitely got the best shots of us as a result! As if that wasn't amazing enough, they turned around our wedding photos within ONE week. Undoubtedly, this must have taken hours and hours of hard work and sleepless nights. We were in complete disbelief as we were expecting these to take a good couple weeks or even months! When we rushed home after dinner excitedly to run through these photographs, we were blown out of the water. Every shot they sent us captured a special moment-- our love story, the raw emotions of our family and friends, and the hard work devoted into the details of the wedding. This is incredibly priceless. The photos were also beautifully edited and some of the shots of the scenery / backdrop were so spectacular that they look straight out of an editorial shoot! We cannot recommend them enough. Thanks so much Callaway Gable for being our wedding photographers!! read more

I've worked with Callaway for wow...is it a decade now? This is a long due post. Brian and Allie, are a super duo with charisma and extreme skill in their field. They know how to handle people and difficult situations with ease. Their works is outstanding and has only gotten more impressive over the years. They are an easy referral for me as a planner. Hope to work with them much more over the years! read more

My husband and I did not want a big fancy wedding, but instead we wanted the best photographers! I also don't love to be photographed. I'm not comfortable in front of the camera and I've rarely taken a photo that I've loved. When we met Brian and Allison (and later Lauren who is equally awesome!!), we felt like it was an instant connection. I was having fun taking photos for the first time ever! Not to mention, we were absolutely blown away by the finished product. They shot our engagement, wedding and maternity. Now, i'm looking for more excuses to take photos with them! We consider the CallawayGable team our friends for life and our go-to photographers for our most important moments. We love you guys! PRICE: Well worth the price! We had a destination wedding in Turkey and ended up paying quite a bit more than a local photographer. Its one of the best decisions we made! Three years later we still love looking at our photos and don't even think about the rest. read more

We hired the Callaway's to photograph our wedding. To be completely honest, they weren't all that. They talk a big game but don't really deliver. From looking at their body of work we thought we would we love at least 90% of the photos they shot. Unfortunately, we only loved/ liked about 60% of the photos which was really disappointing since they charge by the hour. The entire process wasn't as smooth as we had hoped for either. Allie especially was very difficult to work with. I guess once you talk someone into giving you a 50% non-refundable deposit, then it's okay to be unprofessional and give them attitude. The experience was extremely frustrating and emotionally draining. It's been over a year since we received our photos and it's sad because we haven't shared them with our family or friends. There's no doubt that they take beautiful photos, we just don't feel like they put the same TLC into our special day. read more

One word: AMAZING! Brian and Allison photographed our wedding recently and we were thrilled with the results. Their photos captured everything from the joy on our parents' faces to the tiniest details of the flowers and decor of the event. Our romantics were breathtaking, and they shot the best candids throughout the day! We were worried that we should have hired a videographer along with our photographers..but looking back at all the photos made me feel like I was re-living the day. I had a great experience working with Callaway Gable. They are extremely professional, organized and attentive. Brian even came up to Vancouver to shoot our engagement photos. He spent the evening before scouting each location (we wanted multiple) and determining the exact time for each location based on where the sun was going to be at each time of the day. On our wedding day, they arrived on site promptly and worked efficiently throughout the event. Can't wait to receive our album! Highly highly recommend! read more

My wife and I feel blessed that we found Callaway Gable. In planning our wedding, we were determined to find the best photographers we could afford, and Callaway Gable is just that...simply the best. Their work really speaks for itself. The stunning, artistic images on their website are precisely the level of quality we received. But beyond that, they were able to capture the unique feel of our wedding in a way that no one else could. They have an impromptu, creative style, and their final product encapsulated the beauty, elegance, emotion and fun of that day, and we will forever have a gorgeous document of it. Additionally, they are just fun to work with. Brian and Allison are both genuinely affable and funny, and it never felt awkward to have them with us throughout our wedding. They knew when to fade into the background, and when to step in and give us direction. Overall, they are outstanding. Looking through their photos from our wedding day is pure joy...and a feeling that is priceless. read more

I LOVE CALLWAYGABLE!! Lauren Belknap, Brian and Allie's associate photographer, photographed our wedding this past fourth of July and I have to say it was the BEST decision we made for our wedding. The photos were GORGEOUS. They captured the best moments in the most beautiful way possible! I arrived an hour late at our photo shoot location due to complications with our limo, but Lauren still managed to squeeze in everything we had planned in our initial timeline and did a fantastic job. In addition to that, Lauren and her assistants were SO WONDERFUL to work with. They were patient, attentive, fun and very professional. Honestly, if you want a guarantee that your wedding photos will be absolutely gorgeous and timeless, go with Callawaygable! read more

Callaway Gable was the absolute best decision I made for my wedding and the best money we spent on the ENTIRE weekend. They book up quickly, and I truly feel so grateful for being able to reserve them for our entire wedding weekend. My husband and I had Callaway Gable photograph our fusion Jewish/Indian wedding in Palm Beach in March 2018. Since then, my brother AND his sister-in-law have BOTH decided to hire them for their weddings too. This just goes to show you how impressed my entire family was Allison and Brian's work. They continuously get international photo awards... one of our wedding photos was even featured in a magazine as one of the top wedding photos in 2018! I only met Allison and Brian the day before our wedding, but all of the phone conversations I had with them to discuss our complicated wedding timeline made me really trust them. They were always available by e-mail/phone and huge team players with all other vendors. Allison coordinated with my wedding planner and picked up on mistakes that no one else saw. She is an absolute perfectionist. Allison and Brian were the true MVPs of my wedding weekend - so reliable, easy to work with and ready to squeeze in incredible photoshoots in just 10-15min time! Even after our wedding, Brian guided us through making our personal and parent wedding albums w such ease. He made a daunting process so fast and enjoyable. Couples don't realize how much time you spend with your photographers on your wedding day. Allison and Brian are warm, approachable, and down-to-earth. They always made us feel comfortable in front of the camera (which does not come easy for me). They are true artists and will capture you/your partner in the most creative way. While they will always get the obligatory posed shots, they will also find creative ways to capture emotional and meaningful moments. This is what I find most unique about their work (see their Instagram page!). I guarantee that the the best thing you can do for your wedding is to hire Callaway Gable because the only thing you walk away from your wedding with is your partner... and your pictures! read more

Callawaygable is the dream team. Lauren Belknap, associate to Brian and Allie photographed my wedding. They were more than professional and went above and beyond by delegating, creating timelines, and maintaining constant communication with my vendors and myself before the wedding. Having Lauren photograph me, my family, and friends on my wedding day was a gift. She put everyone at ease, never revealing the stress and pressure she was under to capture gorgeous photographs in such a short amount of time. Lauren and her team brought such positive energy to the room and made everyone comfortable and confident in front of the camera. The finished product in one word: breathtaking. They made my more modest wedding look like it came straight from the pages of a magazine. They captured emotions and memories that read far beyond the photographs and created the most incredible keepsakes. I would recommend no one other. Photography is really the only thing you have left after all the planning and festivities end and Callawaygable bring life back to your special day through their beautiful images. read more

The Callaway Gable team is AMAZING! Brian and Allie took our wedding photos last year and our friends and family often comment on how our photos are from another league. Not only are they talented artists, but they're also super fun, kind, and thoughtful. I really appreciated how they provided direction in a fun way, without being overly directive or pushy. They made my family feel at ease, and that comes through in all of the photos. The photo montage/video they put together made us all teary-eyed, and we LOVE our gorgeous wedding album. We're so grateful to Brian and Allie for capturing all of the magical moments from our big day - thanks a million!!! read more

Callaway Gable - One of our favorite photos - Event Photography Near Me

Brian and Allie of Callaway Gable are such rockstars!! Like many brides and grooms out there, we had very high expectations when it came to finding photographers for our wedding. We searched endless websites, blogs, referrals, and magazines looking for the perfect photographers for our wedding. It was such a relief and breath of fresh air when we met Callaway Gable. They are honest, professional, easy-going and SUPER TALENTED. Our pictures turned out magical to say the least. Like I said to Allie and Brian, every single photo took me back to that very special day and made me feel like I was there all over again. We sincerely thank you for capturing our wedding and turning it into our very own little fairytale. They get the award for best photographers EVER in my book. Can't wait to have kids so they can take our family portraits. ;) read more

I can't say enough positive things about Callaway Gable. Allison and Billeye shot our wedding and the moments they captured were breathtaking. We loved that they captured the feeling of the evening so perfectly with a wide range of photos. Allison went above and beyond our already high expectations. When our original wedding venue was evacuated for a fire the day before our wedding, we changed to a completely new venue that didn't exactly match our vision. We wanted a lot of natural photos with a garden-like, outdoor backdrops but our new venue was a modernish hotel with minimal greenery. Allison showed up extra early to scout our new location and managed to find beautiful backdrops that made for the most stunning photos we could have ever imagined. We are so grateful to her for her hard work and immense talent. read more

Where do I begin?! My husband and I knew right away that Brian and Allison were a talented duo, but we had no idea just how deep their talents were rooted. They are not only so cool, so comforting and very accommodating, they just know exactly what they are doing during any impromptu photo opportunity. We booked our engagement photo session with them as well as our wedding and they came up with a timeline right away and were so organized. They seriously made our day so special and we were so lucky to have hired them! You won't be disappointed if you did as well! We found them through fearless photographer because of the many awards they've gotten, but they have an instagram where you can see more samples of their magnificent work. read more

Callaway Gable is better at photography than you are at ANYTHING. My wife found them while we were looking for photographers for our wedding. Their pictures stood out from everyone else we had seen, including photographers that were priced higher. And the final product was even better than we had hoped for. They have OUTSTANDING taste and everything they recommend, from the positioning in photos to what type of paper to choose for albums is golden. We hadn't even planned on getting albums, but because the pictures were so good and made me look significantly more attractive than I am in real life, we had to. We got matching albums for our parents and they LOVE them. Brian and Allison are also super cool. It is essential that you get a good vibe from your photographer because it is important to feel comfortable while taking such intimate photos that will last forever. We ended up liking Brian and Allison (and their assistant) more than most of the guests we had invited. DO NOT skimp on your photographer. Your pictures will be the lasting impression from your wedding, which should be the most important day of your life. And after you get your pictures back from these guys, you will be ecstatic that you chose them and not someone else. At the risk of sounding redundant, Callaway Gable is honestly the best photographer out there. DON'T BE AN IDIOT. CHOOSE CALLAWAY GABLE!!! read more

We hired Callaway for our Palm Springs wedding, and an engagement photo shoot in Vancouver, BC. As all of the previous reviews indicate, Brian and Allison are absolutely amazing at what they do. I could not even imagine there being a wedding photographer out there that can create better shots than these two. They gave us some amazing photos that we will treasure forever, and I fully anticipate hiring them again one day in the future for another special event. read more

Callaway Gable: LOVE THEM and their work!! Allison from Callaway Gable was the photographer at our wedding. She was joined with one of Callaway Gable associates, Lauren and their assistant Miriam. They were all wonderful, so sweet, kind, and patient. We were amazed by their work when we saw their website but it was not until we saw our own wedding photos that we realized how wonderful, amazing, beautiful, unique, and magical their work is!! They were all very sweet, and very professional. They are geniuses when it comes to choosing locations, angles, lighting etc for every single shot. They have done many many weddings and events and their photographs are fabulous. We couldn't be happier with their work. EVERY SINGLE PHOTO, every single photo that they have taken is absolutely beautiful. We are having such a hard time just picking out 75 for our album. Their work is truly one of a kind, the best I have seen out there. read more

First off, I must state that I DO NOT enjoy getting photographed. I am the person that ducks out of every picture last second and friends get mad at because I absolutely refuse to smile and ham it up in their keepsakes. Having said that, people told me that I would be crazy to spend a fortune on our wedding and not have each precious moment captured on film. So my then fiancé/current husband and I browsed through what feels like a million wedding photography sites, and they were all beautiful and nice...and then there was Callaway Gable. Their photos are not simply pictures, they are magic. Brian & Allie freeze time and preserve the moments in life that you must never forget. They take what looks to everyone else as ordinary, and show you the beauty of each detail and emotion. Without hesitation, we knew that they were "the one." And for someone who normally shies away from the limelight, they made me Cinderella for a day. For the beautiful hours of our wedding (and also engagement session), I went from feeling ordinary to extraordinary...such is the power of their encouragement and direction. I never felt less than a bride or beautiful because they always made me feel special. And in the craziness of our wedding day, Allie & Brian were always there for us guiding us and capturing each special moment. When they emailed us the link to our online gallery, words could not describe our elation and joy for being able to go back in time to our amazing wedding day and reliving every precious minute that we shared with each other and our loved ones. Even though we know time will pass and that day will grow hazy and blurry, these magical pictures will always be able to transport us back to that wondrous day so we can relive as if it were today. This gift that Callaway Gable has shared with us is priceless. The Callaways are not simply photographers; they are artists and the best of storytellers through their stills. All the awards and accolades they have received are well deserved. Do yourself a favor, and make sure to let them tell your story in their most unique and stunning way. We love you, Brian & Allie! Thank you for being our fairy godfather & godmother on our wedding day! read more

Words can't express how amazing Brian and Allison are to work with! They photographed our engagement shoot and wedding and ALL of the photos blew us away. We have so many photos to comb through that it's hard to pick the ones we love most. On top of how talented they are, they are fun and easygoing who know how to handle any situation. On the day of the wedding, it was such a huge comfort to have Allison with me, making the day even more special. They day could've easily been chaotic, but Allison had my back every step of the way. What a BO$$! She immediately jumped right in and captured every moment that I could hope for. Billeye who was also there the day of the wedding was just as lovely as Brian and Allison --what an amazing team! We love them so much and will be forever grateful they could be a part of this special time in our lives. They're wonderful people who make their jobs look easy because they clearly enjoy what they do so much. read more

Allison and Brian were the best to work with, my husband is an artist so he was super particular about what he was looking for in a wedding photographer and they exceeded both of our expectations with the engagement and wedding photos. STUNNING PHOTOS!! That's what I got when I did my engagement pictures with Allie and Brian Callaway. We are not models and they made us look like professionals. They directed every single pose and made us feel relaxed and comfortable. We had fun during the shoot which translated into beautiful pictures. Not to mention they are one of the top photographer's in the world with numerous awards so your pictures are guaranteed original, stylish, and amazing! I highly recommend Callaway Gable for one of those once in a lifetime events! read more

Brian and Allie Callaway are a fantastic team. Brian and Allie did our engagement photos, and Allie was our head photographer for our wedding. Every photo they took was a work of art, and their attention to detail in every photo is apparent. Their style is very editorial which we loved because we wanted both the pretty traditional wedding photos but also the edgy editorial style photos. Photos were our biggest priority for the wedding, so we knew we wanted to work with the best. We can't believe how gorgeous all of our photos turned out, there is literally not a single photo that we don't like! Not only are they truly talented photographers, but they are also so much fun to work with - they made us laugh during our engagement shoot with their silly directions and hysterical banter. These two are some of the most talented photographers out there. read more

Allie and Brian were outstanding. We could not have hoped for a better team to be with us on the most special day of our lives. We are looking forward to seeing the pictures, but if the engagement photos were any indication of what is in store, then we are in good hands... This unique husband-wife team is casual and fun-loving, but serious and focused in their work. This unique combination of creativity and professionalism allowed us to enjoy our wedding day, knowing we would have a spectacular photographic account of the day. read more

I can't even begin to explain how amazing Callaway Gable is! First, when first talking to Allison and Brian on the phone I knew we instantly clicked. The excitement in their voices was so comforting. Allison was so thorough when explain all the different options I had to choose from. Once going through all the options, we chose to go with the associate Lauren. BEST THING EVER!!! Lauren... What a gem! My fiancé and I starting working with Lauren and chose to go to the Griffith Observatory for our engagement photos. After meeting with Lauren in there, it was obvious that we were going to have a great time. My fiancé HATES taking photos.. After 5 minutes with Lauren he was loving it's she made him feel so comfortable and me as well. It was like hanging out with one of our best friends. We were so comfortable and the photos showed that. We genuinely had the best time. We didn't want it to end. And the photos... AMAZING! We just got married on May 3 at The Surf and Sand in Laguna. Lauren and her assistant were so professional but we're having fun with all the guests. With there assistance we were able to stay on time and enjoy every minute of our wedding. Lauren was rearranging furniture just to ensure that she was able to capture the best photos in the bridal suite. The girls were so great and just blended in with all the guests... Never realizing that they were capturing each moment. I hate going to weddings and see the photographer all over the place. I NEVER felt that way the day of. We received so many phone calls after explaining how much they had and most explained how much they LOVED our photographers. My now husband and I could not stop talking about how amazing they were. Pricing was worth EACH DOLLAR!!! We look forward to working with Callaway Gable documenting all the joys our next chapter will bring. WE LOVE YOU LAUREN!!! Cassie and Jj read more

Impeccable. Perfection. Artistic. Stunning. Heart Stopping. They will capture you in ways you can't imagine. When it came time for us to pick our wedding photographer we never even searched anyone or even spoke to anyone other than Callawaygable. They had already photographer several of our friends weddings and we knew that they were the best of the best. We had Lauren Belknap for our wedding day and she is a moment capturing genius. The day can get hectic and with so many people its almost impossible for a bride and groom to see and be apart of every interaction and moment. Through Lauren's pictures I don't feel like I missed a thing. Every photo brings me back to the best day of my life!!! read more

With planning on the horizon my (now) wife and I sat down and figured out what the single most important thing about our wedding was going to be. Without hesitation both of us said the photography. Our expectations of any thought about photography were far exceeded with Brian and Allie. Their talent goes far beyond words and their passion for the work they do is astonishing. They took our engagement photos in downtown LA and we still have people talking about it. They have such an ease about instantly making you feel comfortable and guiding you on angles and body position (which our double chins were very grateful for). I could not recommend the Callaways any more highly. Unfortunately the day will come and go, but a picture lasts forever so why not make it the best one possible? It says so much about these two that our family and friends can not stop talking about what amazing people they both are. If they didn't have cameras in their hands there would be no doubt in my mind everyone would have thought they were our long time friends. They definitely made our whole wedding year way more fun and exciting than we ever could imagine, and now we have gained two friends along with the most incredible pictures of ourselves! read more

i can not say enough about allison and brian and their team of incredible talented photographers. the passion for their craft along with their incredible attention to detail, helps to make them a force in the industry. they are creative leaders. their photographs are next level and each client i have who hires them is blown away by the brilliance of their images. not only do they create beautiful photos, but working with them is a positive experience from day one. they are team players which is just as important as the talent they provide. as an event producer, i can go on and on about how i adore allison and brian (and their team), but i will leave it here. cheers to the next one! read more

This is a belated review as our wedding was over a year ago, but my sentiments have not changed a bit: I keep pinching myself looking at pictures of our wedding, they are that beautiful! Our wedding was a dream come true and the pictures--each a work of art--captured all the beautiful details that we can revisit again and again! On top of that, Brian and Allie (Engagement session) and Brian and Lauren (Wedding day) were personable, professional and easy to work with. They made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and made our families comfortable too, at our multicultural Muslim wedding. Thank you CallawayGable! read more

The photography is the only thing you have after the rest has faded, do yourself a favor and book the best. Worth every penny! read more

I LOVE CALLAWAY GABLE, Allie, Brian, and Lauren!! We recently received back a large amount of photos from our wedding (which was two weeks ago...no waiting 6 months for photos) and we could not stop crying from joy! Our photos looked like works of art. On the day of our wedding, we had Allie and Lauren as our photographers...and who knew they could double as a therapist! :) As the bride, I was having some major anxiety, and Allie and Lauren had the most amazing way of calming my nerves. And I can not believe they were able to get beautiful photos from a panic attack! Due to some issues, we were running about an hour late, and Allie and Lauren were so calm during all of it, and kept reminding us to not worry about anything...and they were right! We did not have a videographer, and after seeing our photos, I feel like the moments were captured as well as if on video, even better. The little moments that we would have never seen were captured in such a beautiful way. Hiring Callaway Gable was one of the best decisions we made in regards to our wedding. When the day is over, you really only have your photos from that day, and we are so beyond thrilled we had Callaway Gable to capture every moment. My fiance was fighting me originally on even having a photographer (which is crazy of course!) because he didn't want to feel like he was on camera all day and is not comfortable in front of the camera. Lauren and Allie made him feel so comfortable, his photos look so amazing and he even forgot they were there taking his picture. I cannot recommend Callaway Gable highly enough, and I am so grateful we had them there to document our wedding day. read more
