There were three items that at least had some kind of reasonable replacement the shopper ended up getting me instead of what I'd had on my list and one of them was this talenti that has all these ice crystals on it and tastes horrible like freezer burned and stale. After the fees tacked on from the delivery app, this old nasty Inedible Talenti cost me like $11. I can't believe this shop would be irresponsible enough to offer delivery on a site and have it be so inaccurate. I called them up to see whether it was just the driver being lazy or the store having an outdated insta cart page, and it's the store. If I hadn't called the store though I could have unfairly assumed it was the driver and given her a low score and messed up her whole side gig. Totally irresponsible, a waste of everyone's time and of my money.

I try 2 different chargers and it still won't work. Fast forward a few days, I go to return it and the RUDE woman at the counter states they don't do refunds OR returns. She calls the owner and he says the same thing. I tell him he should have a return policy posted somewhere because it's nowhere to be seen. We go back and fourth about the pen, he tells me I should've called the day it happened or the day before. DAY BEFORE?! Dude was completely unreasonable, unprofessional and clearly doesn't have a clue about trying to run a business. I give people rides here often but best believe I'll be making the further drive to Wild Bills from now on. Such a shame that small businesses conduct themselves in such a manner smh force me to go to a chain shop but oh well. Lesson learned.

Recently, the owner, Steve, was there and I have to say that I will never be going back. He was extremely assertive and rude to the point where I felt uncomfortable. I could tell he did not care about my actual fitness journey but pressured me to buying more products to make more money. It was also obvious that he made other staff members uncomfortable just by his presence! Very disappointed but I will just have to be taking my money somewhere else.

I swung by here to see if they happen to have my protein powders (2 in particular) that I usually order online for a pretty expensive amount and they did have one of them but it was even more expensive here and by quite a chunk as well. About 25% more than my online seller. Definitely cheaper online but they were friendly so that was good. And I'm happy I checked because now I feel a little better about paying all that money online for it, direct from the manufacturer. They were pretty nice about it although trying to hook me up with some other stuff. Barbie has her view on these stores: Gonna Need Cardiac help if you take all these supplements! They have all the whey protein powder in the world. No whey am I taking that! They have lots of other supplements. I'm just not into that stuff. I love Blueowl and Ding Tea is one of the best shops in the area, unfortunately, due to a recent experience, I can no longer support these businesses. I was planning on going grocery shopping at Fresh Thyme after going to an hour long class, it was a Tuesday afternoon so there were plenty of parking spots, and an hour is not an excessive amount of time to leave your car parked. When I get back my car was towed. While I appreciate that some Fresh Thyme employees were helpful, the manager I spoke with was dismissive. He refused to tell me who might have towed my car and seemed annoyed that I wasn't aware of the towing company this particular lot uses. His lack of assistance only added to my frustration.( I do not know if he called specifically or if it was the owner of the lot the manager said he was not at liberty of saying, but either way he was rude and unhelpful) This manager also was not wearing a name tag. I had to pay $326 (not including cab fare) just to retrieve my vehicle. This experience feels particularly targeted, as I have parked here multiple times and gone to class before going shopping without incident, often in a newer model car. It seems like students, who primarily support many of these businesses, are being unfairly penalized. Additionally, I want to highlight a concern beyond the towing issue: if your car gets scratched by another driver while you're shopping, it can be incredibly challenging to locate the owner. This isn't just a student issue; it affects everyone who parks there. Save your time, car value and money and support other businesses in East Lansing who actually prioritize their customers' experiences and values your time.
