Here's a shout out to Pure Pool Solutions. A crew checks and cleans our pool every Friday. We returned from a vacation today and saw the pool water was somewhat green. Without us needing to call, another crew just arrived today (Saturday) to replace the broken chlorinator identified by yesterday's crew. They are also cleaning the filter, brushing the pool and doing whatever else it takes to return our pool to its beautiful shade of blue. Have had 3 Mondays where they did not come and no communication about why or when. Believe the company has grown too big and is not focused on customer service any longer. read more

We used these guys for years without issue, then suddenly their service demeanor took a nose dive. Now they fail to knock and simply barge into your backyard then leave without saying what. they did. They referred to me as "some guy" when texting my partner, who was their main contact regarding the pool. I had identified my self when reporting I'd returned from vacation, but they insisted on treating me like some stranger, even though I'd been to their store several times and talked with their staff when the came out previously to work on the pool. This company is a tale of split personalities. In the beginning they were interested and worked hard to get/keep your business. We purchased a well water filter from them ($80) and they never complained about the effort required to clean the "green" from our pool and it cleared up within hours (2-3 hours). Then we started buying the filter from Amazon ($35), and attitudes changed big time. The GM even went as far as to say my wife was rude to the pool hands on 3 separate occasions. Debra only spoke to them once and asked me to get involved. So I went to speak to the "Mgt" team where I was told they have been using 3x the quantity of chemicals to clean our pool and they were losing money. He said we were on the schedule to be re-treated on Friday and he would call me directly to discuss. Call never happened. We then brought in 2 other pool companies to check out our issue. Both claimed the pool had not been maintained for 3-4 weeks. Our Ph was higher than 8.2 which makes the chlorine absolutely worthless. Therefore it's obvious the two man team were not checking the chemicals to ensure the Ph and Alkalinity were not inline. "These must be inline to ensure the chlorine does its job". One of these companies added $7.43 worth of Muriatic acid and left a $6.00 bag of shock to be added after 3-4 hours. We did this and pool was crystal clear the following morning. We went back and reviewed our cameras for four weeks and they did stop by, but time on site was 28, 32 and 38 seconds... yes that is seconds. They never did any work after 2/26 and thank God we do have multiple cameras spanning our pool area for safety reasons. This company is family owned and operated and defends each other fiercely. That's nice, but do not trust them at all with your pool. If I can get a pool cleaned for less than $15 retail price, a professional pool company should not be complaining about the cost to keep our pool clear and clean when they charge $135 a month. read more

Gary and his team are the best. My salt water pool was showing extremely low chlorine levels. Tried turning up chlorine production on the cell, shocking it and some liquid chlorine. After several days I was convinced we were looking at having to replace the salt/ chlorine generator. $$$$ Instead PPS recommended I try adding some liquid phosphate (in spite of the phosphate levels measuring normal) and overnight chlorine levels jumped up. I can't tell you what a splendid business this is! We moved here the day after hurricane Ian, and our pool was in complete shambles. Kayla and the other girls helped me nurse the pool back to sparkling health ALL BY MYSELF! They helped me with water testing. They helped me with supply recommendations, fixed some gauges, and even repaired my pool pump. Super helpful to a guy that was new-to-town, l that had no tools and no knowledge of anyone beforehand. NOT Recommending Pure Pool Solutions. We have been a customer of Pure Pool Solutions for over a year and generally have been satisfied with their services, although we don't feel they spend enough time on our small in-ground pool as they are in and out in under 15 minutes. I received our latest monthly invoice via email and realized it was $10 higher than normal, as we have an agreed price per bi-weekly service. The email did not mention anything about a price increase. I opened the PDF and saw an additional charge of $10 for a "fuel surcharge." I paid the bill via my bank's bill-pay service and replied notifying them. I noted that while I acknowledge the hardships of current fuel prices, that I was not including payment of the "fuel surcharge" because it had not been previously disclosed and that 2+ gallons of gas was a bit unreasonable considering that they service multiple properties in my area. (So it's not like they're driving from their office just for me.) The email reply that I received from Gary was not expected and is one of the most unprofessional emails from a service I have ever received. It reads, "You are the only customer who has refused the surcharge so we are going to be canceling our service with you. ... Our services are in high demand so we would rather have customers who are willing to pay us more." Well, that's fine, Gary. You're going to get less money per month now and I am recommending Pure Pool Solutions to NO ONE who needs a pool service. read more

I needed work done on my pool pump. I called several places, including the national chain where I'd been buying chemicals and getting my water tested for 15 years. The national chain offered an estimate appointment a couple of weeks/months out and at least one of the other folks I called never called back. Pure Pools called back, came by and gave me an estimate and got the work done quickly and for less than I expected. Since then they've been my "go-to" for chemicals (I'm a DYI guy), water testing - WAY more accurate than the national chain - and parts for stuff I can fix myself. AND stopping by is always a pleasure! Good local folks that know their pool-stuff and always good fun conversation. Joe Bob says "Check it out." We have used Pure Pool for several years. Their service was average at best, but the owner always took care of us when thing went downhill with their services. So, we stayed with them. However, in the past year or a little longer, their service has really gone downhill. Beside never cleaning our filter, they also stopped cleaning the skimmers baskets. We recently emailed a complaint to them minutes after they left because the skimmer baskets were not emptied. The reply we got was very unprofessional and shows how far they've gone downhill. We were told that the techs do empty the baskets, however, because they have soooo many clients and soooo many pools to do in a day (22-23 pools), the techs do not have enough time to clean and service each pool as they should. We were told in the email the techs should take the time to empty the baskets and use a water hose to clean them, however, they simply don't have the time in their "busy" schedules to clean the pools and equipment properly. We were also told that our rate would now be going up as a result of chemical prices and that if we weren't happy with their services, we could take our business somewhere else. So, I went back reviewed security video of the backyard and pool for the past three weeks and watched each week as two technicians only skimmed the surface of the pool. They appeared to test the water and dump a little bit of chemical into it. But, NEVER ONCE in those three weeks did they ever touch a skimmer basket nor take one out of the water to empty and clean it it! They also never checked or cleaned the pool filter. if they inspected the pool equipment, I'm not sure which equipment they inspected because they never went near the pool pump which is behind a short fence. They would be in and out in about 10 minutes doing the bare minimum work. However, on the pool ticket they would leave behind (which was always filled out before they started their services), they claimed and checked off that they cleaned the baskets, checked the filter pressure, and inspected the pool equipment, skimmed the surface and brushed the sides. My husband would clean the skimmer baskets each week after they left. He also cleaned the filter that they had not cleaned in at least a month if not longer. It was a nasty mess! I called the Vice President, Kim, who had sent me the unprofessional email, and I told her because they are not performing their services we'd like cancel our services. She still claimed they did empty the baskets and that she personally watched the techs do it a week or so earlier. She argued with me that our skimmer baskets were always "packed" full of leaves and the guys would empty them but not hose them out like they should because they didn't have the time to do it. I told her I personally reviewed the videos for the past three weeks and not once did a tech ever touch or take a skimmer basket out of the water nor clean the filter. I also told her not to bill us for the partial month because they obviously haven't been doing the jobs we've been paying them to do and now they wanted to argue and lie about it. She replied back and said I would need to talk to her manager on Monday. After we hung up, she called me back within a few minutes and said I could come pick up my gate key, we'd end our relationship immediately, and they would not charge me for the partial month. If the techs can't take an extra 2-1/2 minutes to clean the baskets properly or a few minutes extra to check and clean the filter each week then you may not want their services either. read more

This Family run company talked me into letting them "maintain my chemicals, clean my pool filter, and clean the skimmer baskets" because my Husband is disabled and I am disabled. They never once cleaned the skimmer baskets, only twice in an entire year (when I expressly asked) did they clean my pool filter, and they never once tested my pool water! I watched every single week as their young employee entered my pool deck and dumped a single jug of chlorine in our pool. A single jug of chlorine. Period. Every week for more than a year their "service" was a single jug of chlorine. Nothing more, No Other Chemicals EVER! Now my pool is green, because that's how they left it. read more

Knowledgeable family business has always provided me honest advice on which chemicals to use to make my pool looking great. Try taking in your water sample and they will not only explain to you all your levels but which chemicals you will need to balance them. Don't have time to wait? Just provide them with your email address and they will email you the results. make sure you take one of their punch cards so you get a free jug of chlorine with every 10 you buy. Used them for a while. They tried to sell repairs that were not needed. My pool was brand new and the owner tried to claim there were many problems with my pool. Hayward came out and said there was nothing wrong with the pump Pure Pools wanted me to replace. Hayward rep showed me how it was working properly. He said I should find a new pool service. Wish I would have listened but I don't like change. Don't like new people coming to my house. They spend no more than 5 minutes each visit. I actually thought they were doing their job till the neighbors and I all started talking. It was my cleaning that was keeping it clean. My vacuum, me cleaning the black off my tile. I'd say all they did right was the chemicals. Owner is a jerk. Myself and other neighbors have all fired them. Young people they have cleaning were always nice. I started watching the camera. My pool is a 40x20. They should have been here for at least 20 minutes to clean the pool correctly. They didn't vacuum ever! They didn't clean the tiles once in two months of videos I went through. They didn't clean the filter. It was so jammed shut with sand the new company had to take a hammer to open the drain on the filter housing. Then flush it with a hose. Filed a complaint with the state and the county. Disputing my credit card charges as they charged more than I agreed too. Owner says he will send me to collections. Bring it on! The videos I have show you never did the job you were paid for. He's lucky I'm not suing him for the job I paid him to do that he didn't do! read more

We got this service when we bought out house. To be fair, the first year they sent out experienced workers who gave a crap. They also saved us some money on some repairs. Now they send two young guys who rush through the job; leave the pool dirty and are now spilling chemicals on our freshly painted pool deck. Wasted our time. We had them quote to fix our pool system and spend over $1200. We asked specific questions as to why certain parts have jumped in price prior to first quote and they disappeared. The only idea as to why they never returned our calls or followed up is due to having knowledge as to the appropriate cost of pool parts. After doing our due diligence and discovering their reputation is not so stellar we are pleased they failed to return our calls. read more

Went to the store today with my husband. He went in and I stayed in the truck, since I have to be careful of my health. Inside, neither person working there wore a mask. When asked to put one on, one woman, a blonde, responded that they're hearing that a lot and that they test their temperature every day when they start work. Well, that proves absolutely NOTHING. Anyone who's done the slightest research can tell you anyone can be infected and SPREADING that infection for two weeks before any symptoms show up, so the fact that you don't have a fever proves nothing. The blonde just walked away and handed my husband off to the guy at the register, also not wearing a mask. These people are interacting with customers and handling merchandise constantly. Endangering customers is NOT good business practice. If he walks in there with workers refusing masks again, he's walking back out without buying anything. read more
