I was so…read moreexcited to try out another barre option than my traditional Daily Method or Barre 3 in Washington DC, where I live. LOVED this small studio! The studio staff was very welcoming and the class was quite small - only 4 people, since it was just a few days after the Christmas holiday. The instructor gave great personalized attention during the class and was also kind enough to notice I didn't have grippy socks for the class, and borrowed me a pair from the studio (free of charge!). She was great at giving adjustments throughout the class and always there with a "you've got this!" when anyone needed one. I really appreciated her positive energy and that she checked in after class to see what I thought. The 45 minute class felt just as good as any 60 minute barre class in terms of challenge and level of physical exertion. I loved that the combined arm/leg exercises gave you the same level of workout but in 45 min! The 45 minute class also still included a savasana and stretching, which is always a nice way to finish a tough workout. The facilities are also very modern and provide everything you need - lockers to store your stuff, towels to use while in studio, shampoo/conditioner in the showers, 1 hair dryer, deodorant, tampons, etc. Thanks SALT! I will definitely try them again if I'm in the area and recommend to friends/family for a good workout!

I jumped on the bar class bandwagon about 7-8 years ago when they were popping up all over the…read morecountry. I've seen them work a body wonders if you go consistently (3-5 times/week). I prefer a lot of cardio when it comes to my workouts and whenever I try Dailey Method my mind starts to wander and then I realize I'm not even doing the move correctly...and there goes my workout. When my nanny called in sick today I found myself wondering what I would do with my 2 year old for 5 hours until his sister was ready to be picked up at school. Friends mentioned they were taking their 2 year olds to the Dailey Method while they did a class so I figured I'd give it another shot. If the workout wasn't any good at least my son would have fun for an hour playing with the other kids. I haven't left him on his own very often so admittedly I was a bit nervous about it, but figured this would be good prep for camp this summer. I was so impressed with the kids club. It's a small room, but had everything my son would want to keep him entertained for an hour: trains, a kitchen & (yes) a TV. Elizabeth was the caretaker in the room and she was very warm and the kids took to her instantly. In fact, when I went to pick up my son an hour later he didn't want to go home and was giving Elizabeth hugs. Sooo if you're looking for somewhere to workout with good children THIS is it. The class itself was fine. It was a Dailey Basics class so easier than most. Debbie, the instructor, played great music, had complete control of the class and did her best to make sure we were all doing the moves correctly. I did find my mind wandering a lot during the class & feel like I didn't actually get a workout today, but that's based on my own preferences & not the class itself. If you like bar classes you would likely be a fan of Debbie's class. I was excited to see that they offer spinning here. That's one class I'd definitely be interested in trying since it combines cardio with body sculpting. So perhaps I"ll be back for that...and for my little one to visit his new friend & toys in the kids room.

I discovered The Dailey Method when I scheduled a three-week trip back to the area to visit family…read more I was left thinking I'd have buy passes at a few different sorts of gyms to keep up a well-rounded fitness routine. Little did I know that TDM would tick every box! From the moment I entered and was offered a fab deal for two weeks of unlimited instruction, every person I met was positive, encouraging and welcoming. TDM truly is a joyful community, run by women who appreciate dialogue and feedback. This may explain how their classes easily fill, pretty universally. The easygoing, positive welcome belied the killer workout I got the very first class I took. I've taken Pure Barre and plenty of Pilates, but TDM manages to push the boundaries of both instruction and results. I definitely recommend you ease in if you're not familiar with this thorough workout, because there isn't a muscle that's left under-worked! I find that delish, but your mileage may vary. And they compliment all this long muscle movement and alignment work with spin classes, which has its own lengthening work built into the repertoire. As I said, all fitness bases covered, and presented by people who seem.genuinely invested in their students' success. Spacious and accommodating studios? Check. Super-clean and comfortable locker rooms and shower? Check. Tempting selection of workout/leisure pieces in their front shop? Major check! So cue the proverbial needle across the record sound effect, because this glorious first week got cut short by COVID19. It was clear in conversations with all the instructors that like 98% of the businesses in LaGrange, TDM would have to temporarily close--and at a time when someone like me needs to do more-not less--to deal with the anxiety! Of course, they were doing the right thing. I was delighted to receive a message that TDM LaGrange would continue some classes online, and the TDM brand sight has even more class content, available on demand. I am very pleased to continue to engage the TDM community, as I am now, officially, a convert. But do yourself a favor: run, don't walk, to TDM LaGrange when the dust settles--or just sign up for their online content before it does. You'll find it a revelatory experience! I will definitely be returning to TDM, any time I return to the area!

They even had a few sale racks with 30-50% off. Luckily I was able to fight the urge this time, but I may be tempted to buy something when I go back. This class was great for beginners in my opinion. I gave it 4 stars only because I like a bit more direction in my Pilates class, and although Jill was amazing and sweet, I love when an instructor is kind and encouraging but also provides corrections. I am also a fan of music during my workout classes but if you like more peace and quiet, Jill's class will be up your alley. Despite those two minor things, I am still very interested in going back!

After renewing my ClassPass membership on Cyber Monday, I decided to check this studio out with my good friend Alex F. Booking a class was super easy and we made our way to the studio on foot. Check-in was a breeze. We were greeted with a smile and received an overview of what to expect from the class. We got to borrow a pair of sticky bottomed socks for free. Our class was a full barre workout, which I had never done before. From the outside it looks like you're not doing much, since the movements are small, but believe me you will feel the BURN. The class pretty much flew by. The music was great and our instructor was really motivating. I would absolutely recommend trying them o
