I used D&M about 15 years ago and had a great experience with them. I was really surprised that…read morethis review was their first review on Yelp as they have been around for a long time. Fast forward to today and I had to upgrade some home theater components...their crew installed everything, demonstrated how it all worked, came up with a solution to get another TV in an area with no Direct TV box, connected all to the wireless router, put an app on my iPad so I can control all of the new components, and left the house as clean as it was when they arrived. I will confess that I looked at the components on Amazon and, although their prices did not exactly match, they were within $10 and I could get assistance with a phone call if a technical problem cropped up...something that Amazon can't provide.

I Rented a de-thatcher and verticut seeder for $388.52 on Friday 8/30/25 at 1:08 pm. I was told by…read morethe person in charge that it was a great deal for me since they would be closed Saturday and Monday for Labor Day and I would be only charged for a 1 one day rental if I had it back before the gates closed at 4:30 pm on Tuesday 9/2/25. I returned the equipment at 2:08 pm on Tuesday and upon checkout I was told the equipment was due back at 8:30 am on Tuesday, and I was charged nearly a full extra day, $306.16. If I had been told it was due back at 8:30 am I would have had it back on time. UPDATE: After posting the one star review, I noticed I had a 10 am voicemail from the person in charge that I spoke to at Lindsey inquiring about the return of the equipment. However, I still know what I was told. I should have known to get it in writing, it would have taken five seconds for me to have him write the deadline with the date and time of return and initial it. The people that worked there and assisted with loading and unloading were very helpful and friendly and other than the issue with the return time, the person in charge was also friendly.

I have had nothing but bad experiences withs with them. I should have walked out the minute I…read morerealized the person helping me was incompetent, but I thought you have to learn somehow. But then the billing started, every month I get a bill for $50, for a lease. How long, well it's not on the bill, I'd like to just pay the damn thing off but I can't. You also can't take billing question to them, it's shady. Now it's been a year and they are still coming, I paid $800 up front. If you look back at the reviews over the years this complaint is fairly common so I don't know why they wouldn't just provide the billing information unless there is something to hide. I go to their website to get the billing contact and there is a message about a mandatory recall on my machine, they never called about that, they can certainly harass me for $50. I wish I had never set foot in the door, and just purchased a unit outright off the internet they are about $1100. In the past I have been pleased with their pharmacy, but I'll never deal with these people again, I would suggest going anywhere else.

We bought an acoustic guitar for our son for college graduation. I wish I had the name of the…read moreyoung man who helped me but he was phenomenal. Greeted us at the door and spend a ton of time going over the pros and cons of various guitars as well as sharing his insight as a guitar player and inquiring as to how our son intended to use the guitar. We were not pressured into buying any guitar and were shown guitars at many different price points then left to consider the myriad of options and come to our own conclusion. The store has a great selection of guitars to choose from. That coupled with the expert customer service make this place a win! I'll juxtapose our experience at Palen with one at Guitar Center in LA. At GC nobody helped us, we had no idea what where we should go to find the guitars he wanted and everyone just stood around while we wandered aimlessly. They did however, point to the section of the store we should go to but not one person came back to help us. 5 stars for Palen Music Center, we wish you continued success

I debated on 1 to 3 stars on this review. I felt like the selection wasn't great here. I felt…read morerushed, and I felt like I was up sold. Also, afterwards I realized that my prescription was off -- maybe it was part of the feeling rushed process. 3 stars. My prescription is just far enough off to be annoying -- like .5 off. (-1 star) 2 stars I gave them a 2 for their mask habits, which made me dread going in every time. When you wear a mask, they ask you if they should wear one. This is like someone asking "Do you mind if I smoke?" If I say, 'yes' you will get annoyed and then I am the bad guy for trying to create a safe situation. If I say, 'no' then I feel like I am putting myself at risk for your comfort. (-1 star) 1 star The people seemed nice, so I didn't realize how bad of an experience I was having. (+1 star) 2 stars
