We stopped by here with the previous owners 2 years ago, and they were fine, but the store itself seems brighter and better set up now. If we hadn't ate the free breakfast at the hotel, I bet we would have eaten here if we knew about it. Next time. We took home incredible tamales, with pork and elote, for our Sunday dinner. We just don't have great markets like this in our area.

Grabbed some beef fajita mix to cook up later today, and some very fresh avocados to make the meal complete. I like their layout. Ronna makes a darn good pie…read more Royal City is halfway between Seattle and Moscow/Pullman along Hwy 26 and there's more than meets the eye in this tiny agricultural town amidst orchards and corn fields. Most of Ronna's business is done at the Moses Lake Farmers' Market, where she sells the majority of the over 100 pies she bakes each week. The other pies are sold out of a poorly-signed industrial building at the east end of Royal City's main street. Exit the highway, take a right, pass by a number of taco trucks and tiendas and you'll find Ronna's pies. She doesn't usually sell them by the slice, rather, pick up a whole pie, there are usually a dozen or so choices. I am a pie fanatic and Ronna's is on par with the pies my family makes, which are the best pies in the world. Royal City produces some of the best tasting fruit around and this certainly comes out in the pies. My mouth is watering as I write this review, and I wonder, why am I so foolish to live so far away from pies by Ronna.
