This is fir thee location in Turlock on Golden state. We ate there and food was good however, the prices are pretty pretty expensive . Especially for 3 pieces of fried yuca and 3 pieces of pork meat chicharones like $16 definitely NOT WORTH it. The pupusas are pretty good some days and on others we don't know why. Oh the bathroom is right next to a table just pray they don't hear you going to the restroom. The horchata drink or most of them are very small and cost a grip. Too expensive. I can't support a place that charges way too much I just can't. For the price give more food or charge less. read more

I stumbled upon them at the local farmers market, here in Modesto. It looked intriguing, so I gave it a shot. The jalapeno and queso jumped out at me immediately, so I went with that. I also ordered the polo and queso. Both were delicious. If I had to choose one, I would go with the jalapeno. That being said, I found the perfect bite to be a little of both :) Like the cashier's shirt says, "Good Things Take Time", they do here. Don't be in a rush, but I can assure you it's worth the wait. They're not consistent. That's the real issue why they got a 3 and not a 5. Idk if it's workers vs owners working the truck when they utterly fail. When they are on point they're the absolute best in the area. The last 2 times though they have been mostly empty inside and more dough than filling. This is what ultimately made it worthless to drive out to their truck to get them. Before that a couple times before they were being served burnt. Not charred and slightly overcooked but burnt that you didn't see bc they were clever enough to place at the bottom of the order and underneath so you didn't see until you got home. Now I have eaten at the place they're at too and it's again hit or miss. If you're in the area and want to give them a try do so. Judge for yourself. I would rate them higher if they were consistent. When at the farmers market they were always consistently great. I will say though that their curtido is absolutely always delicious and I don't mind paying extra for it. Service is average nothing to complain or praise they do their job effectively in taking your order etc. read more

The pupusas are always made fresh to order and they always have a line so expect a little bit of a wait. That's never been an issue for us, considering the quality and the flavor of their pupusas and condiments. The service is always friendly and the price is very fair. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have authentic Salvadoran food read more

Found them at the Grub Hubs location. The food was delicious! I got a chorizo/cheese papusa and a bean/cheese papusa. They came out piping hot and came with a side of pickled veggies and red salsa. The only downside of the service was the very long wait time for my food once I ordered. To their defense there were several large orders in front of mine. The ladies running the truck were super polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Fun ambiance as we found them located with a bunch of other food trucks. read more

Finally ! I found legit pupusas. I was so satisfied when I finished my meal. The pork and cheese was thick, and the cheese had the beloved burned leak out of fatness . Most places go with a healthier thinner pupusas. You can't do that, you have to keep it true to its root like this place. So much flavor , and don't cheap out . I made a pilgrimage to this ever so talked about place to give it a try. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!! Meat to masa ratio was great. Curtido was delicious. They also include a special salsa with the Pupusa. I bought a sampling to try the bean/cheese pupusa, Steak Pupusa, chicken Pupusa... all delicious. If I would rate one higher than the other I think the Chicken was my favorite. The steak was very well done but with the curtido it helped. I could eat the curtido by the spoonfuls! This review is long due for me. Franci's pupusas quite literally changed my life. And yes, I'm being dramatic, but it's warranted. I'm sadly not close enough to Franci's to indulge as much as I'd like to. But, the times I visit my sister, it's rare I don't scratch the itch. Franci's offers the best, yes - the best, pupusas I've ever had. This small modest truck produces the perfect little pockets of meat, beans, and cheese. I've never had a bad service experience. Everyone and anyone I've crossed paths with has been so sweet which makes me want to keep coming back. Dont get me wrong, the pupusas here are amazing!! But all the bad reviews regarding customer service are sadly, true. I called ahead to find out prices and I was not impressed by the way the lady answered the phone. Then when I placed my order it was the same thing. Perhaps she was not having it, idk but anyways. Later when I went to pick up my order , she seemed irritated although no one was there. Perhaps cause I asked for extra curtido. Oh well, I'm glad I did and it didn't ruin my appetite, that's for sure. Lol. If you can bypass mediocre service in order to enjoy these bomb pupusas then by all means do!! I know I will!! read more

4/13/21 I learn about the food truck in Modesto through my sister in-law; anyhow came and gave it a try! I saw the Pupusa truck, and I already knew what I wanted to try ( cheese rice pupusa, pupusa revuelta, cheese pupusa and empanadas) despite the long line. Unfortunately I was only able to get half of what I wanted... 1) because they were not making rice pupusas :( 2) they had ran out of empanadas (which I wanted really bad to have for breakfast the next day with a cup of coffee) 3) I was only able to order 1 cheese and 1 revuelta and as o got my total, I was made aware that they had ran out of curtido :( Actually then this makes me feel I only got a quarter of the order I had in mind lol At that moment I really was thinking... my meal will not be the same without the curtido, I decided to still order since I already had waited 10 min in line. It took about 15 min to get my order, but I can say that the pupusas were tasty and large size (which is good!) without the curtido and only salga, it didn't feel satisfying (curtido and salsa is a must have with your pupusas) So for now 2 stars because I was only able to get a quarter of what I really wanted to get and because curtido is a must have and they ran out. I hope to come back in the future and give it a try with all complete ingredients read more

Horrible customer service from the attitude all the way to taking the order I've noticed they purposely add more stuff on your order so they can make more money and sometimes forget to give what you ordered idk if that one is on purpose or not but i wont be consuming here any more oh and the menu is always incomplete one day they dont have something another day they wont have some other thing weither a certain flavor/napkins or forks (Pésimo servicio) la pocas veces que he ido siempre esta incompleto el menu un dia no esta. I been a customer since francis was over at farmers market. I used to enjoy the shrimp pupusas and when they weren't stingy with their salsa. When I buy pupusas I buy for various coworkers so I place big orders $60.00+ so why do they give me three salsas for a bunch of orders. I ate my pupusas semi dry today and it's the last time I get food for coworkers at this place. They be acting why too greedy with the curtido (slaw) and the damn salsa. From now on I am gonna just order my food at the Mexican taco truck that's in front of them... The orange one. They hooked it up when I got birriah tacos.. I used the damn consome on my dry pupusas. Francis stop being greedy with the salsa and slaw.. Your pupusas are dry and salty with out those two items. read more

Really yummy pupusas! I got chorizo y queso and frijoles y queso, both were delicious. It did take a while to get my food but I don't mind that at all, I appreciate that they are made fresh to order. Also the lady who waited on me was a sweetheart, I don't understand where all the negative reviews about customer service are coming from. Just went here and got an order to go and I am speechless. The best pupusas I have ever tried! And I've tried a lot since I am Hispanic and have some Salvadoran friends! I got two, one with zucchini and cheese and the other one revuelto (pork,beans,cheese) for my boyfriend and he LOVED IT. So so good. Would recommend to anyone. They're big in size too! read more

I would assume they were great though because everything else was amazing! Curtido & Salvadorean Salsa (Cabbage mix & red tomato salsa) 9/10 - salsa was fire! Curtido was okay. I definitely recommend this place! The owner reached out to me and thanked me for my review, I love to see business who are active with their customers.
