First time nicked my dog and he would not stop bleeding but they didn't let me Know what was going on. Tried one more time and charged me an huge fee $30 because I was stuck in construction, to be fair I just got a message from the owner and will update. My dog was very cute so the new groomer is ok

Hi Sonya D. I called the shop shortly after I received a notification today 10/11/2022 that Pups had responded to my review (below!, since there's not an option for me to send you a message explaining the details of the phone call I have no choice but to update here. The only mix-up I can think is the young lady I spoke to about scheduling a deshedding groom in which I told the young lady that's she's a Lab-Vizsla mix doesn't sound quite like a Husky to me But also maybe she doesn't know dog breeds, I would've been more then happy to inform her again as I did explain that we along with my dog in tow were at the Yelp Open House Event and one of the groomer's had quoted us the $90 fee for a deshed treatment only as I'm not sure who she was speaking with as she did sound knew which is fine, I give her props for trying. For better clarification and of my dog Lan-Vizsla mix I will attach her photo from the event. Please don't hesitate to re-email me and we can further discuss your grooming quote miscommunication.thanks, Michele T. ----------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW 10/4/2022 I had attended Pups Yelp Event Grand Opening I had spoken to one of the groomers and received an estimate for a deshedding groom of $90and when I call today to finally scheduled an appointment they now quotes $160....she doesn't need all the extra thrills like paw balm as I do that already, she doesn't need a blueberry facial either. In today's economy I love my girl but as fast as she fills back up on her hair about 3 weeks post deshedding. Session and that's including w/me zoom grooming her 3-5days a week. Thanks Pups you have a nice failing but no thanks I'll keep driving 40min it's away from my home to our normal groomer.

My dog, a border collie, goes to DD both for occasional daycare, and for overnight boarding as I travel for work. Not only do they feed him his raw diet (with sprinkles) and have him sleep with his favorite blanket and toy: they do it with compassion and a genuine love for Marley. Nothing is too much to ask of all the wonderful carers at Diggity. They know I'm a helicopter parent, so I often get videos and photos of Marley having the best time with his pals. He loves to play in their paddling pool, and is spoilt by everyone there. On a summers day his favorite thing is to be squirted by the hose. No one HAS to do this, however that's the love they show to the dogs that visit. I just adore everyone there. All the team know each dog by name, and what they like. They have the most clean and spacious premises. And when Marley comes in everyone yells "Marley", and makes him feel so loved. I wouldn't go anywhere else, I love them so much. Besides that, they are reasonably priced and open very accommodating hours. So, want a place that truely cares. Diggity Dog is that place.

If we had brought our other dog who doesn't do as well with other dogs (especially un-leashed), we wouldn't have been able to make it past the lobby to even get serviced. We specifically stated no shave / buzz. Just a cut for overgrown hair and to be able to deal with the hotter temperatures coming in the summer. The cut is un-even, and if we even had requested a shave, this low of a cut for this type of fur is not healthy for them at all. She's a medium long haired mix. They do not need a shave this low, ever. Though friendly, the person who took our dog in did not listen at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone. EDIT: Also just found out the owners now of this business is not the original. They've taken over the original owner as the owner passed away. They will take the positive reviews while blame the other company mentioned in another review, who actually is the successor of this business. Don't bring your pups here.

When we walked into the lobby we were hit with an INTENSE ODOR of incredibly strong, potent dog urine smell! I know dog businesses are bound to have odors. BUT NOT LIKE THIS! The kind of powerful odor we encountered CANNOT be achieved without long held practices of neglecting to clean up waste in a timely, thorough way. (And too many dogs in 1 area maybe). Oscar (owner/trainer) was friendly and is absolutely experienced and knows dogs, no question. But with us he was confusing and disorganized as to what he offers. He made assumptions about us and wasted time speaking to those assumptions. Also, they had 4 HUGE industrial fans running in the lobby area (very loud). Circulating pet hair & who knows what else. I took the fans to mean they didn't have A/C that day? - or - in general? I did not see where the dogs were kept or the conditions - BUT - I left worried that the dogs kept there could be in filth and possibly in high temps too. Their website is out of date and so a little misleading. I read they were wheelchair accessible but that's untrue (unkept dirt parking lot and step up to the door).

And honestly, words don't do justice to expressing how grateful I am to have found Superhero Dogs. Libby has given (and continues to give) my family the skills and encouragement we need to provide the best life for our very challenging dog. As a rescue, our Willie came to us with quite a few very undesirable and dangerous behaviors that felt overwhelming and unmanageable; however, through our work with Superhero Dogs, we've been able to better understand his unique personality and needs, as well create an environment for him that allows for safety and an increased quality of life. After just one week, we saw a huge improvement in our ability to communicate with Willie and within two weeks Willie's behavior had rapidly shifted toward a calmer, more cooperative dog. Libby has been by our side every step of the way, even when we felt like we were failing and they truly feel like a member of our pack. They provide timely and tangible steps for helping us navigate the trenches of training a challenging dog, and have never made us feel anything but fully capable of doing the work and creating the life we want for ourselves and our fur-child. Through our work with Libby at Superhero Dogs, we've gained the opportunity to really enjoy our dog and for him to fully become the happy lab we always hoped he could be!

"How do you potty train?" "Why won't he quit biting?!?" Every one of my queries has been met with patience, humor and science-based knowledge. I love the positive re-enforcement for my pup and the gold stars for me! Best decision EVER!

Max is the laziest, sweetest, and cuddliest dog I have ever had. He's also my first herding dog…read more Boy, these dogs are so intelligent that it blows my mind! Before Alex, my partner and I were at a loss as to what to do about Max. He was getting worse and worse with his (leash) reactivity. In the home, he would just laze about and bring toys to us to play with him or would just play by himself. But we dreaded taking him outside on the leash because any dog we would see would turn him into a rabid zombie. There were a lot of breakdowns on my part and feeling like a terrible dog mom so we finally bit the bullet and chose the two week board and train with Alex. Getting into contact was smooth and easy and we chose a drop off and pick up time. Alex sent a picture or video every day and also answered any questions we had along the way if we had any questions about why he did a training a certain way in a video. I am blown away by not only how knowledgeable Alex is when it comes to understanding dogs individually (Max's terrible reactivity got worse and worse because he had been going to daycare two times a week for ten months and had been getting bullied so now he gets into fearful attack mode - Alex's astute observation) but also understand me and my partner and correcting us on our behavior. He figured it out right away at our first pick up lesson after the training and my partner told him "heel" and Max looked at him and then "heeled" next to me (yes, Max is a total mama's boy). It's been a little over a month since Max has come home to us from his board and training. Is he a perfectly trained dog now? Not at all! Does he have a solid foundation that Alex trained him with and now my partner and I just have to train ourselves to communicate better with Max so we are all on the same page? Absolutely! Sending your dog to Alex (or any trainer) is not going to be a magical fix. Your relationship with your dog is just that--a relationship. Both parties need to keep working together until you're on the same page. I have texted Alex my questions (and, sometimes, my breakdowns of how terrible I must be at this) and he has always been willing to meet and do a training session and help us out. I have never felt blown off or ignored by Alex. His constructive and kind criticism has always been incredibly helpful and you can tell that he cares a lot about the dogs and want the dogs to be happy with their families. Max isn't perfect and he's still a 2-year-old angsty teenager. But he's trying his best to do what we want him to do and we are trying our best to tell him what we need from him. Alex has been amazing in helping us connect the two concepts. Our walks are smoother and our picture takings are prettier. Bottom line: Alex is absolutely worth it. He's patient, helpful, and has the right mindset when it comes to teaching dogs AND people.

Luckily, we worked through 4 sessions with Steven Myers and I'm fairly convinced he could train Cerberus given enough patience and owner effort. He listened to my specific concerns (biting, barking, using the house as a port-a-potty) and addressed each one through training - training of both myself and the new dog. With his training and following "homework" training at home, my little guy has gone from violating most of the Geneva Convention to being a happy gentleman. I cannot recommend the Canine Mind enough, and if the other trainers are even in the same ballpark as Steven, then all of them will do absolute wonders for any dog!
