They have a wide selection of goods, ranging from common household items to obscure ingredients I have yet to find anywhere else(except India).

At first when you enter, you are going to be like, "Is this a restaurant or a grocery?" Well,…read morerelax, it's both. The tables are set up in a corner near the cooking area, so you'll be part of the mix of employees and customers coming and going. If that makes you nervous, don't be. Bill and the chef, whose name I'm afraid I did not get, couldn't be more easy-going and friendly. So, the casual atmosphere noted, let's address what you came here for, the food. Have a look at the menu. Modest prices. Does that mean modest quality offerings? The answer to this is NO! Chatting with Bill, he related that for the, I think he said 31 years, that he's been here, he has a special relationship with a local cattleman and buys his cow and then has it butchered, also locally. Then, and get this, he grinds his own beef for the burgers. Who does that? Who does that at these prices? We had cheeseburgers and fries with soft drinks. The burgers were not your fast-food dense, perfectly formed patty-type burgers. These were for-real burgers! Really good. They came with a lot of lettuce and mayo-based sauce as well as tomato slices. I'm getting hungry writing this. My wife suggests you might want to ask for the "salad" on the side if you want a pure burger experience. The fries were as good as fries get and the portion was generous. During our lunch, I kind of interviewed Bill and he gave me the whole story of his establishing the market and deli from the original purchase of the property, organizing the groceries on wooden shelves and slowly upgrading, adding the kitchen and continuing to refine the store into what it is today. He was gregarious and his story reassuring to listen to: a locally-owned small business success not in danger of being taken over and ruined by private equity (knock on wood!) as so many business are these days. I noticed the wagon full of water melons and Bill informed me that they were a seedless variety called Black Diamond. He used to grow them until his Dad passed away, but now buys them from a local grower whom, he explained, starts his seedlings in his greenhouse and, as a result has melons in June before anyone else. I'll come back and tell you how it is when we open it. It's still in the fridge. I noticed some tomatoes on the counter, so I bought a couple of those, also, and they were great. So nice to have tasty tomatoes to counteract the summer heat. We made our own burgers at home and they were a perfect complement. I hope I've gotten the facts straight here. If not, Bill can provide corrections when you go in to have your burger, wings, sandwich, or whatever you like. Can't recommend this highly enough as a more than satisfactory lunch stop mercifully devoid of corporate influence and so reasonably priced. Stop reading this and set your GPS for Bill's Market and Deli and get on over there for some satisfying food and pleasant company. Cheers, -- james
