I moved away for a while and then recently moved back and now trying to do that is a terrible experience. The food is fine when I can get it, though the prices are absolutely insane. Like $7 for just a burger by itself. I spend more here on a meal that's been sitting under a heat lamp than I would going to an actual restaurant (though Hyvee is already charging more in the main store for refrigerated leftovers than a fresh hot meal from an actual restaurant). Still, sometimes I'm in a real rush and willing to pay the price, and that's when it's a problem that there's just no way of knowing when the kitchen will be open and hot food available. I go at the same times on the same days each week and it's completely random. There's nothing posted about hours and I get the idea that they're just open on whatever day a cook feels like coming in. It's getting to the point where if I'm really hungry and low on time, I just can't take the gamble and stop here. I did that today and there was a sign up that they closed the kitchen at 1:30pm. Now I'm at work hungry until I can get a break. Seriously, I'm so done with this place

Plus the hy-vee store is right next door. I also like that they have a digital tire pump outside and it let's you decide how much pressure you want in your tires and does the work for you. Genius! The gas station workers are always happy and quick to help you. Prices are good and inexpensive Thanks Hy-vee Did I forget to mention you can get a fuel savers card? The guy behind the counter was really cool. He let me exchange the rice to the thin noodles, I got 1 Rangoon and 1 chicken egg roll, and my two entrées were beef & broccoli and honey walnut shrimp. This meal was very filling and I am definitely full and close enough to my brothers home. After eating lunch here, I shopped for spinach leaf lettuce, mushrooms, and I came back to Hy-Chi to purchase a $5.00 special spicy California roll to eat for later. I love this supermarket, it is always clean inside and outside. I definitely will keep coming back here as my brother lives so close! They even have different daily specials posted that change often. The fuel costs are reasonable, the pumps work great either with contactless payment or the BP app, they keep the windshield cleaner buckets full, and I trust the quality of BP gas. The bathrooms have been clean when I've visited and they stock the standard BP chicken sandwiches that I've become addicted to. They take contactless payment in the store, and service was fast and friendly.

This Mega Mart can be a little sketchy. The product and service is as good as any gas station. They…read moredon't have have fast food ready to go but they have a decent booze selection, dollar shooters and the chicks behind the counter are usually pretty hot. And the gas is cheap. The sketchy part is the people that shop there...especially later at night. It usually reeks of weed and there are often drunk or obnoxious patrons there once the sun goes down. Just be careful.
