My cardiologist told me I had sleep apnea. I was sent to Pulmonary Consultants and got an appointment a week and a half out. I was surprised and happy because all of the winter visitors are getting their check-ups before leaving and going home. I received a reminder call from one of the nicest and most cheerful person in the front office. The office was clean and quiet and the lady at the window who confirmed my time, was very pleasant. The doctor was impressive in that he took notes as I answered his questions. He took the time to answer my questions and explain how I will be tested for sleep apnea. I am in need of a hip replacement and was referred to this group by my Banner primary care doctor and was to see them today. However they called me on Friday the 17th to tell me that after waiting a month that they just determined I am not covered. Why did it take so long? I was told that they wait until the last day before your appointment which now means finding another pulmonary specialist and waiting again for service. This is the worst policy I have ever heard of. Having been an assistant administrator for Newport Medical group in the 80's this is unacceptable and I intend to see that whoever made that policy decision and their immediate supervisor is aware of it. I will also see if the AMA , and the Arizona Medical Association is made aware. This is reprehensible to say the least. Do not use this group if you need a service done with any speed or if you need surgery. read more

They never answer their phone. Talking to a human is impossible unless you call after hours and get the answering service. I made numerous calls, leaving message after message. I finally received a call back, 2 weeks after my initial call. 3 weeks after my doctor's referral was sent. Finally, I was able to make an appointment, 5 weeks after my Dr sent the referral. My gut was telling me to bail on my appointment. Canceling was another week long ordeal. Calls, messages, and I even sent a fax! I wouldn't trust these doctors to give me answers, help me, or even care. If they don't care enough to make a brand new patient feel comfortable, they won't care about an established one. read more

This place is a joke. It's HOT all the time, you have to wait 3 months for an appointment just to be welcomed with a dirty look and rude staff that is uneducated. No class, no respect, no compassion, or sympathy. It's ghetto and dirty. Referral department and Insurance Verification department can't get it together. You'll get 3 calls a day by 3 different people telling you 3 different things on to why they have to reschedule. I really liked the Dr but not enough to deal with the incompetent staff. My husband had a Cancer scare so with the stress of that having to deal with Medical Assistants yelling at you or Scheduling Department hanging up on you. Go anywhere else and I mean anywhere even county. This place should be shut down. They never had notes of who called you last, so make sure you write the name of the idiot who called you, not that it matters because no one has a supervisor and there is no Office Manager. Palin is VERY nice, Anita is cool, the new gay guy is okay. Nobody had extension numbers so every time you call you get the same person and if they don't like you, they won't answer or send you to voicemail. I've been dealing with valley fever, and emphysema for the last 2 years. The Dr. I had been seeing is now full time in the hospital. My prescription had run out, and I needed to refill. I was not informed that my Dr. was no longer there. and when my pharmacy called to get my script refilled , they never received a reply. I finally called, and was told I would need to see a Dr. before they could refill my prescription. Ok, fine. So I see my new Dr., and he renewed my prescription, only to find out when I went to pick it up, it was not the same $43.00 prescription, but $419.00. So, I called to get this corrected, only to get to the pharmacy and find out it's the same as the first time. Trying to talk to anyone here is nearly impossible. 3 phone calls later, I still can't seem to get the correct prescription. Remember, I've been taking the same med for over a year.... why is this so difficult? The Dr's assistant was in such a hurry to get off the phone, she wasn't listening to what I was saying. I gave her the exact information for my current prescription, as did my wife, and myself twice before, and still can't get it right. I guess my only option is to take time off from work, and go in person to get this resolved! The care I received from the Doctors here has been great. The receptionists are also first rate. I'm just very frustrated that they can't look in my chart, and prescribe the same medication I've been taking. read more

It's interesting that I see commercial after commercial on TV about how much Banner cares about your health, are there for you, etc, blah, blah, blah. When you call this office as a new patient you automatically go to a recorded mailbox - the first words being they will return the call within 24 hours. Well I have called twice now - waited the 24 hours and nothing. I would have liked to stay in the Banner system for this as my primary doctor is with Banner. I was able to get a Pulmonary appointment with a company outside of Banner. And after reading the horrible reviews regarding this office I'm glad I did. read more

My husband received a stat order for a sleep study after having to be revived during surgery. We already know he has severe sleep apnea as it was diagnosed prior to COVID, but we were unable to get his CPAP as everything in CA closed down for a year. Now he has to repeat the study in this state and receive a new prescription. Scheduling was difficult even with the referral to this clinic. It took 4 weeks to get on the schedule and we were booked 2 weeks out. This is primarily because new patients are to press 1 in the system and leave their name and number, but never receive a call back. You have to push 2, for existing patients, and then tell them you are new and need to schedule. Then the doctor had to fax his order over 3 times as it "was not received". Two days before his appointment we received a call that the appointment needed to be move up by 4.5 hours. No problem. My husband shows up and says he is there for a sleep study. They sent him to another area in the hospital as "they do not do that". They did not check his name to see where he was suppose to be. It happens he was in the right place initially as they do do the sleep study consultations. He was passed to three different areas in the hospital, having to move his car twice, and ended up back where he started after I called in and spoke to the office manager. He sees the same lady to check in. Instead of just checking him in she tells him that she sent him away because he said sleep study and not sleep study consultation. Yeah, we figured that out an hour ago. So she persisted to argue until the other office assistance said to just check him in. My husband, a veteran and retired federal officer after 30 years, said to just forget it. It would be better to die in his sleep than to be treated in this manner by incompetent staff. So here I am, 2 months after a stay order, having to get a referral to a different pulmonologist for a stat sleep study. The office managers did say she would report this to the director for me and that she will also speak to staff about checking in the system for an appointment before telling patients to leave. Long story short, go anywhere but here if you actually need treatment. read more

Just got off the phone with "Anita" who was the nastiest, rudest most unpleasant person I have spoken to in a long time. She wouldn't stop talking over me to allow me to ask the question I was attempting to ask. I don't know if she hates her job or just does not deal with people very well. Ridiculous wait. Filled out new patient forms online and was told to be there @ 1:45. Sat in waiting room and was told my appointment was actually 2:15. Pulled in the back finally at 2:30 and sat in the exam room for another 20 minutes waiting for the doctor to no avail. Finally just left. I'll find another business that runs better. read more

Uncomfortable from the minute I walked into the office. While I was there for my appointment I noticed that the appointment setter was seated right behind the front desk. This was brought to my attention because I heard him the entire time i was in the office. Heard every word he said while in the waiting room and in the exam room. If that wasn't bad enough I heard his commentary ,about the patients , to the front desk staff. In my 30 years in healthcare I have never seen, or should I say heard, such unprofessional behavior. Made me wonder what was said about me. Because of this I changed my follow up to a telemedicine visit, which I ended up cancelling and seeking a second opinion. The Dr's from Pulmonary Consultants saved my life in 2017 when I was hospitalized for almost a month. Dr. Andrew Sulit became my personal physician at this time. He tells you the truth, he helps you improve any way you can. He listens when you tell him your concerns and investigates when you discuss changes in your health that may be concerning. When you are ill the office staff figures out a way for you to be seen. Thanks to great care I'm still living an enjoyable life. The practice is busy but I have never had a problem scheduling an appointment, getting a prescription refill or having a question answered. read more

Pulmonary Consultants are the the worst and do not care at all about their patients. Please do not use them. The brothers in the practice, Loretto and Andrew just wat you in, they get paid and out. I have pulmonary fibrosis and they kept saying my CT scans looked the same. I kept telling them my breathing was worse. Ok fine see you in 3 months. This went on for years. Then they insisted I pay for hospital visits on days I didn't see them. Find another doctor if you care about your health. read more

Very long wait after they DEMAND you be there on time or they will charge you anyway. My wife and I count on a minimum of half hour wait beyond the appointment time every time. The final straw that caused this review was my wife needed to call them about an upcoming appointment and the answering machine said they would be close from mid November to after Christmas == she called in SEPTEMBER. She hit the button that would contact the answering service and waited about 10 minutes for them to answer. She found out the office IS closed but the answering service was not sure how long. Next step - find another specialist for both of us. Will also be complaining to our insurance company about their service. read more

Dr Andrew sulit saved my life. Living with asthma was becoming difficult to say the least. Andy listened to my concerns and urged me to stay active and try some new medicines. He trusted me and believed me when I told him what medicines were working. I can now say I'm living with asthma and feeling pretty damn good. I'd recommend him to anyone. read more

Dr. Andrew Sulit is extremely arrogant, condescending, does not listen and then accused me of not telling him when test showed what I had told him resulted from Pulmonary function test. When I told him I could not take a certain medication he recommended; he then told me if I would not take that medication he would not treat me. The office staff is very cold and uncaring. Don't know how any of the other doctors are. My insurance is contracted with them but I refuse to see Dr. Andrew Sulit. read more

Only had experience with Dr. G. Andrew Sulit but would not recommend this office to ANYONE! Any knowledge that Dr Sulit may may possess is grossly overshadowed by his atrocious bedside manner. He is condescending and short to say the least. Incessantly checked his watch during my short 10 minute appointment. When you visit with him he cares about you and what's causing your current problem so he can give a quick solution. I went in for my follow up appointment, got a follow up CT scan as requested by Jesus Mireles MD, he advised I would be notified of the results. I left a message 2 months ago asking for him to call me back with results, no call back. I called back today, and they will not tell me the results over the phone, I have to make another appointment. WTH, I paid my copay with my follow up appt, why do I need a follow up appt for my follow up appt. Someone better call me with the results, this is nonsense. Swain, D is my info, you have my number.
