Absolutely spotless and sleek hotel. I'd recommend staying here, with one FYI - make sure they don't double charge you.
The good: Rooms were the clean - probably cleaner than any hotel I've stayed in. Not one stain on the rug, not one rip in the curtain or tear in the walls, and no dust in vents/drains (common issues I see at even the nicest hotels in America). It's not in the center of Munich, but there is a subway stop right outside; it is about a 15 minute ride to Marienplatz. I think this is better because you are in a cleaner and quiet area, away from all the craziness but with easy access to the city.
For the price, I was expecting a tinier room, but it was actually quite comfortable and spacious enough for the two of us. It was advertised as having a queen sized bed, but it was actually king size. The flat screen TV is against the wall, covered by two sliding decorating mirrors. The bathroom was small, but comfortable. The showers were set to the perfect temperature, so rarely did we adjust anything.
The bad: Okay, this place would get five stars if it weren't for the billing hassle. We bought a flight/hotel package deal through Travelocity. Despite us having already paid via Travelocity, the hotel double-charged us the rack rate of the hotel room (over $700 for six nights). We had a couple of unsuccessful attempts to resolve the issue with the hotel. We got in touch with a representative at Travelocity who tried to resolve the issue and said that the hotel hung up on them a few times. Ultimately, Travelocity was able to help us in resolving the issue and we got a refund.
Despite the hassle, I still like the hotel. I would recommend it if you want a clean hotel at a good value and in a quieter and more relaxed neighborhood of Munich - just keep an eye on your credit card statement! read more
