So Tony's was closed for vacation. So we said let try Pudgie's. Now mind you, I have not had Pudgies in 20 years. During that time they were a restaurant with sit down area and salad bar. Now it's basically a gas station pizza joint attached to a subway. We called and placed our order. She said 20 minutes. We arrived in 20 minutes and she said she burned the pizzas because the timer didn't work on the oven. She said she put new ones in and if we could come back in 15 minutes we would have them. We said OK and went and sat outside. 15 minutes pass by, we go back inside and asked where our pizzas were? She said oh I thought you didn't want them so I didn't make them. Pudgies would be getting a zero star but you make me give them one. Don't waste your time on this dump run by teenagers! It looks like horrible gas station pizza! It is not even worth it! read more

My wife and I visited Pudgies on a slow Wednesday afternoon. We were the only patrons at the time and our server, Cassie, was excited to have us as her first table that day. Cassie was great at giving us personalized service and at recommending different dishes, all with a great attitude and exceedingly pleasant personality. My wife had the chicken tenders which were juicy and tasty, and I had a burger, and we both had fries and a soda, all for well under $20!! Props to the cook for actually making my burger the way I ordered it, medium rare. Almost without exception every time I order a medium rare burger it comes out at least medium (I guess they're afraid of lawsuits). The cook was also the manager, and she also came out to check on us. A great lunch experience for a great price. Thank you!! read more

I see this reads "convenience store"... It's definitely not, it is a restaurant. Just recently it was subdivided into half Pudgies and half Subway (terrible idea- but they must have needed the money?) so all the seating is gone where once stood a dining room. I bet the Subway couldn't complain if you sat to eat your Pudgies there- it's owned by the same people anyhow. The only unique thing about this place- to make someone jump to the conclusion that it is a convenience store is the fact they have a beer cave, in which many people stop by to pick up a six pack etc (seeing how PA is a dry state and its hard to just pick up booze). NOW about Pudgies itself: I definitely don't recommend anything except their wings. As a kid I adored their wings, and now as an adult their wings are actually pretty average. Unless you want to hit a dive bar (which lie the best wings in town probably), then Pudgies is probably the place to go. read more

Usually I love pudgies but this pudgies location doesn't have the same recipe as many of the other pudgies I've been to, even compared to the Mansfield pudgies the cheese on their pizza seems totally different and the sauce to cheese ratio is different. Last time I got a sheet pizza the entire bottom was burnt. When I order a round pizza, there is way too much cheese and it is way too thick. Not sure what happened to this pudgies but they need to do something because I don't plan on getting pizza here again because I always get let down :( read more

Have been coming back here since childhood. Great pie and salad bar for the price. You can get great selection of beer without going to the police state controlled state store. Glad I moved out of the state. read more

Look closely at the date I posted this. It's 2016. Not 2014 or 2009 like some of the others. Used to be decent place to stop. Not now. I'd give this place a 0 rating if I could. 55 minutes to get two personal pan pizzas and then it was not what we ordered. Who wants to wait another 55 minutes for them to get it right? Not me. Same happened to the family of 5 next to us only they didn't get one item they ordered. Didn't get a a refund when they asked for it. They left unhappy like we did. OK, please don't patronize this place. Last night we ordered delivery and the meal was missing one entree, had RAW DOUGH, AND WE FOUND A SPIDER ON THE PIZZA. They quickly replaced it, and the second meal had RAW DOUGH as well and we found a LONG WHITE HAIR in the pizza. Oh man. read more

I enjoy pudgies in general. I can remember when I was young going to the Pudgies in Corning and receiving great service and good pizza. Both seem to be dependent upon management. Corning's Pudgies went under new management many years ago and went downhill and eventually went under due to it. Wellsboro's management seems go back and forth between good and bad sometimes really bad. I believe it does a bit better because it sells beer. It would be great if it could maintain as high a standard as what I can remember. read more
