They yelled at a coach during a tournament in Anaheim. Unprofessional administrators run this club and it's apparent they're in it for the money. They don't address parent's concerns and shift the blame then they block your number so you cannot reach them. They favored one family whose child caused problems with her teammates and majority of the top 18s girls team will not be coming back. They fired a league MVP, all-county and all CIF coach because of this family's complaining their daughter doesn't get enough playing time. The 18-1s girl's suffered a losing streak because of ONE vindictive family. The season started with 12 players and 9 remained due to non-communication from Jesse. Had one of the coaches (Jesse) smirk and taunt an ex-exodus player during a high school tournament months later. Club fees are reasonable but uniforms started falling apart mid-season, players also did not wear a lot of the attire because it was too small or short for them. While the venue appears a bit older, if does seem to be well maintained overall. I think at the time, 2003 or so, I was a sophomore and I was catching up on those community service hours (on top of it, I know). I remember I had to do a lot of trash pick up and cleaning up graffiti. Aside from that, in these last couple of years, I frequent the recreation center to play basketball (indoor). Their basket ball gym is so cool! First of all, its air conditioned. Second, they always music playing. And, finally, they have a total of 6 hoops. Two main ones and two on each side. However, sometimes they might have only a few down. It just depends. There's definitely regulars here who come in the afternoon to play five on five. Te best times to come are usually the first three hours after its opened. Its dead during the first couple of hours. Honestly, I love this place to shoot around, practice, relax and get away for a bit from everything. Built in 2000, the Otay Recreation Center includes a gymnasium, game room, patio, and a fitness center. The programs offered at the Otay Recreation Center accommodates a wide array of participants, ranging from toddlers to youth to senior citizens. The fitness center, which requires a membership, contains a variety of state-of-the-art equipment, including cardio machines, free weights, and weight lifting machines. The game room is open during our normal hours of operation for drop in play and consists of pool tables, foosball tables, a ping-pong table, and more. The ladders are especially fun and competitive, and it's a great way to improve your game while meeting other players. You can tell they really care about building a strong community and providing a good experience on and off the court. The last few times I've gone was for the first annual Luau tournament and had a really good time. They had some tasty kalua pork sandwiches and bottled water that perhaps they could let us know that it was something for all players. As a person who likes to be super festive, it would've been nice if there were some luau-themed decorations, music or some sort of contest. Another thing I've seen at other tournaments is a whiteboard that shows the bracket of who's playing and is a good visual to have. Now I realize it's the first one and they seem committed to incorporating feedback and think it will naturally evolve over time. The other event I went to was the 4th of July ladder that I thoroughly enjoyed. It allowed people of all levels to play and everyone was just out having a good time. It was also nice to chat with the staff afterwards.

Our main issue would be the overall communication from management has been poor at times. And $300 for uniforms on top of the $125-150 per month fee per child seems a bit steep. I think the fees wouldn't be as much of an issue if communication was better.

Getting answers to questions, coordinating games, or simply getting updates can be frustrating and disappointing, especially for the amount families are paying. You would expect better organization and communication from such a well-known club, but honestly it feels like the club is running more on its name than on the experience they provide families. What's even more frustrating is that when it comes to collecting money, communication suddenly becomes very fast and persistent. They also have donation pages for the athletes or team, but in our experience, family and friends donated to support my son and we never saw where that money went or received clear answers about it. It's sad because this could be an amazing club if they fixed one simple thing: communication.

The club is disorganized, full of favoritism, and completely lacking transparency. Basic structure and communication are a joke. Ask about where your $ goes, and you'll be met with disrespect. Besides the high monthly dues, you're charged with additional "coach's per diem" per tournament with no clear explanation, no breakdown of where the addtl fees goes, just a cash grab. Club is highly evasive when asked about $$. Try asking for a breakdown of cost, and you'll be labeled a "problem" or "not a team player". Coach Wera is a major red flag. She blames kids for losses, offers no support and brings in outside players from Mexico who get more playtime than the kids who actually paid to be there. Club is run by Team Moms who make sure their kids get all the playtime - skill or no skill. If you're not part of the "in" crowd, don't expect fair treatment. They ignore the vball association's "stay-n-play" rules whenever it's convenient - usually to pacify loud, entitled parents. More favoritism. Club owner Marlena only cares about $$. Player development? Growth? Fairness? Not her priority. Her focus is on how much she can collect from each family. Bottom line, this club is toxic, unfair and driven by money and politics. Your child deserves better. Run - don't walk - another club!!

Best Little League in the Southbay!…read more Parkview has a nostalgic feel to it and a lot of great baseball players currently play or came from this neighborhood little league. Not to mention the the historic 2009 World Series champions set Parkview on the map. It's a family friendly environment. The coaches are all volunteers and do a wonderful job teaching & mentoring the kids. The Parkview staff do an exceptional job maintaining the baseball fields for our kids. Just wish a generous donor can pay for some much needed remodeling on the grounds, add more turf and make a pavilion over the snack bar. All in all, Parkview Little League is the finest baseball league in Chula Vista.
