    Avoid this electric supply house. If I could give this company a -100 star rating I would. I bought…read more$1,500.00 worth of electicical trim, plugs, switches,  covers, and dimmers. I'm not an electrician so I do not know what needs to be a 3  way. So I took a count and ordered what I needed and then had my electricians install what I had bought. Come to find out I was missing some GFCI plugs and 3 way switches so my electrician picked them up for me and told me I could return what I had extra to Elliotts. I came in with my invoice in hand and they told me that they could not take the material back due to a 30 day return policy. I asked were dose it say that on my invoice? It did not inform me of this policy and he goes into a office and brings out a piece of paper the reads all return must be done with in 30 days. So I asked how is a custom supposed to know what your policy is when it's not post for us to read? His reply was this is our company policy.  It was not like I was trying to return special order material (light fixtures) this is common material they keep on hand. Futher more the material that I was trying to return was at the most $200.00. So I will eat this cost and sell my left over material in a garage sale for pennies on the dollar.  BTW - I am a General Contractor and I bid jobs all the time. I will make it a point to make sure the electrical contractor on all my commercial or residential jobs does not use any material from Elliot Electric Supply on ANY of my jobs. My suggestion is that we all need to bring back customer service and if the companies we are doing business with can not supply us with the customer service we deserve we go elsewhere and show them what it feels like to have their money wasted and taking away from them. These businesses really need to realize with out a customer you do not have a job or business. Customers should always come first. I contacted Elliott Corporate office on January 23rd and was told to take pictures of what I was trying to return. On Friday the 25th I asked Anything on my material to be returned? I got a reply You'll hear from the branch manager. I replied Ok thank you. Today January 29th I sent a message at 8:37 that I have not heard from their branch manager along with a copy of the rough draft of what I'm  going to post about their customer service. Elliott replied I take it you didn't like the Branch Manager's determination. Or did you not hear from him? I call corporate and told them NO, I was told that they will call the branch manager to remind him to call me. Now why should you have to remind your employees to do their job, come into work, take lunch, and to give quality customer service? No business owner will ever have to remind an employee that today is pay day.  Elliott told me that they did not like my post and said I was being unprofessional. I explained that this is my 1st amendment right and it's called freedom of speech.
