Beware of coupons! My family has been going to Pucci's for years. This past Saturday my daughter picked out 2 beautiful expensive rings. The woman helping us was extremely helpful and pleasant. However, at the time to pay she had to speak with the owner/manager about using a $100 coupon that they mailed to customers. We were told the rings were already discounted and didn't qualify for the discount. When asked how much the rings were originally she did not know. There were no signs of discounted items and we were never told they didn't qualify when mentioning the coupon upon entering the store. Please let me begin by saying, I am NOT a jewelry person. However, the selection at Pucci's along with the amazing service, support and heart & soul of Nancy and the other staff (especially the ladies!!) this in the ONE and ONLY place I would ever go. I'd also only tell friends and family the same. Our experience with Nancy has been over the top exceptional as she is the most down to earth, yet model beautiful and angel like sales woman whose expertise is that of a lifelong jeweler. In the past three months, I have been helped by Nancy to create a 50th wedding anniversary ring for my mom, updated/restored my engagement ring, recreated my (deceased) Nana's wedding and engagement ring into a keepsake of my own and just today, she WOWed me again when looking for promise rings for my nephew and his girlfriend. All the while, Nancy has been a great listener, an expert in offerings and a highly skilled expert in her work. The best part of working with her (besides admiring her AMAZING style) is that she is down to earth, funny, charming and brilliant! To say she know her stuff is one thing but she goes above and beyond with each person she works with in the store. I know this because I have listened to her with other customers, and I was originally told to go see her by a friend who works for another jeweler in town... She is and the quote goes "amazing to work with!" I could go on and on for much longer but the jist of it goes like this- Pucci's (Nancy in particular) is the place to go and the woman to work with. A few weeks ago when my husband had my wedding ring inspected for me for our warranty, I asked him to see if the jewelry store would clean a gold and diamond necklace I wear a lot. It turned out that the store would not clean it because they said it had a loose stone. Since the store doesn't have a location in MA and we don't have a warranty on it, my husband didn't want to have them send it out to repair it so he brought it home and told me what had happened. I was glad to know that the stone was loose so I could get it fixed before it actually fell out but now I had to figure out where to get it fixed. My first thought was to take it to one of the big chain jewelry stores at the mall because I figured that they would be trustworthy enough to do a good job. However, I wanted to see if all of the stores would charge the same price since let's face it, jewelry repair can be expensive. I called both Kay and Belden Jewelers (who are actually both owned by the same parent company) and after describing the piece that I needed repaired and the problem, both stores told me that it would cost a minimum of $50 because of the "diamond cluster configuration of the stones" and that it would take two weeks for them to send it out to their repair guy and get it back. I was prepared to pay this but I wasn't totally thrilled by this news. I decided to try and call a smaller local jeweler to see what they would say in comparison and chose to call Pucci's because they have a really convenient location for me and because their website advertised having a full time certified on site jeweler in other words - reliable on site jewelry repair. This appealed to me because I wouldn't have to wait two weeks to get my necklace back and I could be sure that nothing would happen to it in the "shipping out" process. When I called, the friendly woman who answered the phone told me that my needed repair would probably cost around $10, possibly $20 if it needed more than just tightening because of damage to the prong setting. This sounded A LOT better than the other quotes I had received. Their website says that repairs are by appointment but when I asked the kind woman on the phone about setting one up, she said that for a minor repair such as mine, I could just stop by and they would do it real quick while I waited - more exciting news! They also have great hours! Their jeweler is in store every day until 8pm so I was able to go after work without feeling like I had to rush over before they closed! When I arrived at the store, I was greeted and after explaining what I needed and showing the associate my necklace, she took it right back to the jeweler who I could see working in the middle of the store. She came back a couple of minutes later to tell me that he had found not one but two loose stones. A few minutes later she came back with my necklace. It was clean and very sparkly but not only that, it was fixed. The whole process had taken less than 10 minutes. I also asked her if she had any suggestions about how to clean another necklace I have which has an opal and therefore cannot be submerged in water or another cleaning solution but has a sterling silver setting and is tarnished. She showed me how to clean it with a silver cleaning cloth and offered me one free of charge. I thanked her and took out my credit card to pay for the repair but when I asked her how much I owed I was shocked to find out that there was no charge! *Another interesting fact, I was told that they are always creating new pieces and that every piece is created in store. You can also design our own piece and have them custom make it for you. Pretty cool! Overall, I was impressed by Pucci's service and I loved the fact that they do repairs on site while you wait. I gladly would have paid up to $50 for the repair like the big name stores wanted just to have it done while I waited. Just for that, this store is far superior. I highly recommend Pucci's for any jewelry repair needs but I think it would be a great place to buy new jewelry as well. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! read more
