This large Publix, located near the Coral Ridge Mall, was clean with fully-stocked organized aisles and fresh items at various departments, which is consistent at every Publix location. I stopped by briefly to get some crackers to go with some goat cheese I received from an acquaintance. I was not very knowledgeable about pairing cheese and crackers, which made it hard to choose. I spotted an employee who was stocking items at the end of the aisle and asked his opinion on which cracker to pair with goat cheese. He recommended pita chips or savory crackers. I decided to go with a box of gluten-free thin crackers; there were many flavor varieties and it was a BOGO item, so that was a plus. My experiences at this location are sweet & sour because, for one, the store is on the premises of the Coral Ridge Mall on N. Federal Highway in east Fort Lauderdale. While it's convenient to stop by on the way home from the mall, or place an order for pickup, parking is challenging and there are many transients who stay around the perimeter. It can often feel unsafe, having seen little "turf wars" on more than one occasion. While taking this into account, the store is open every day from 7 AM - 10 PM, with the pharmacy and liquors from 9 AM - 9 PM. It is well-merchandised & stocked, and the excellent customer service is what we have come to expect from the grocer over the years. To sweeten the shopping experience for us, and aligning with the City of Fort Lauderdale's vision for more modernized and efficient commercial spaces, there is a proposed plan to remodel or revamp this store; making it a two-story structure with improved traffic flow to the area, more parking spaces, and new sidewalks which offer safer amenities for pedestrians. read more

11/26/25- Purchased the traditional turkey Small $69.99 packaging look nice I haven't of course tried anything. It's the night before so I'll keep you informed but it has a nice presentation Turkey was great. The stuffing and the mashed potatoes were so wet, in my opinion they must've been frozen and placed in the box for p/u. Been a Publix shopper for over 20yrs...spending a fortune! Today i go to get a Money Order like I usually do monthly for the same amount 340.00..today I get obviously a new employee..This ding dong asked me what it was for...I said why? Publix policy..Never have I been asked what a money order is for ..He said I could go somewhere else and get it..Im 70 I was about to argue with this idiot! Got it and left. Been doing my grocery shopping at Aldis since all the price gouging started at Publix. Aldis is a much better business and much cheaper than Publix. Off brands but same merchandise. It was my first time going to this Publix location, and my cashier (Cienne) was extremely rude. I put my handheld basket with 11 small items on the belt, and she told me very rudely that I'm not supposed to put the basket on. I told her I'm sorry and I've never been told that before, and she just continued ranting with an attitude about how it slows things down. She refused to talk to me for the rest of the transaction. She looked away and tapped her foot when it was time for me to pay, and when she handed the receipt she gave me a death glare and started talking to another employee in an angry tone in a different language. I really did nothing to her and even apologize for what seemed to annoy her despite it not actually being wrong. I ordered a Philly Cheeseteak sub using the Publix website on my laptop. It was easy to order ahead and the customization of the sub was very easy to follow. I arrived at the Deli at the requested time and they were still working on my sub, it took about 5 extra minutes for me to get my sub and pay. The lady at the Deli was very good about reading the ticket and making sure that all the ingredients and toppings were correct. The sub was delicious. I pressed it again on a frying pan at home and it was nice and toasty. read more

This was one of the most unacceptable customer service experiences I have ever had. The staff's behavior was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. During my visit, I was treated with clear disrespect and felt targeted and unfairly judged. As a non-native English speaker, I strongly felt that I was being discriminated against. No customer should ever feel humiliated or unwelcome simply because of who they are or where they come from. This experience was not just disappointing -- it was deeply upsetting. Publix should take this matter seriously and ensure that all customers are treated with dignity and respect. If I wait in line to ask about it, I get skipped. Tried giving this place chances, but you're better off going to the other stores on Commercial. The butcher section of this Publix cheats customers on their meat cuts Several times I have bought pork and chicken and the gross weight is equal to or just 1-2oz more than the printed net weight. This is fine but the packaging weights 3-4oz. So you're paying full price for 20% less actual net product. I bought a scale for home and tested its tare with a 1oz steel bar. I have tested their beef, chicken and pork. Why trust me? Weigh it yourself Sure you might pay more at freshmarket or whole foods but at least you get what you pay for. read more

Publix is a cheap chain that handles basics like mega rolls of toilet paper well and views food as an afterthought. There's absolutely no consistency in any dimension of acting like a real grocer. As a result, other than mega rolls of toilet paper, we avoid the entire chain. This store is better than most, 2 stars. For those who can avoid buying pre-prepared meals, you don't spend much more at Whole Foods or Fresh Market and get much higher quality meats fish, cheeses and produce. The staff at this store are very friendly. The folks helping with the bagging and cart management are particularly helpful. One employee, Michael, always asks me if I need assistance with my groceries and is super diligent when it comes to wrangling the carts. It takes massive ineptitude to take a 50 year old store where shopping was a pleasure and turn it into an experience so frustrating loyal customers stop shopping there. Somewhere in Lakeland some Publix executive should be given credit for what he has done to obliterate customer loyalty to Publix's Coral Ridge store in Fort Lauderdale. I have shopped at Coral Ridge Publix my entire life. My mother and grandmother shopped there. One of my high school friend's father was the manager. While Coral Ridge Publix is an older store, it is a fairly large store in a great location. Historically I could not walk into Coral Ridge Publix without saying hello to at least five people who knew me by name. That's not including employees, many of whose names I know. The employees at Coral Ridge Publix are outstanding. I have no doubt they are aware they got screwed over by policy that came down from Publix corporate. The first thing that made shopping unpleasant was a store remodel. I complained. I heard others complain, frequently. Moving everything around the store is not a strategy designed to make customers happy. Publix employees, who are always pleasant, explained the store was being improved. Old freezer cases were coming out and new ones were coming in. More products would be available. It was also designed to make all Publixes more uniform. The last store manager I heard this from was Office Depot. They were going for store uniformity, now they are closing stores. Factor into all of this there has never been more grocery competition in Broward County in my lifetime as there is now. We are inundated with grocery stores: Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Aldi, the Fresh Market, Safeway, Doris's Market, etc. It struck me it was going to take Coral Ridge Publix at least a year to get back to its remodel revenues, because people were fleeing the store in droves. The remodel has been complete for a while. I meant to go to Publix today at 7 AM, but I didn't get there until 10. I figured the store would be crowded, because it was always crowded at 10 AM on a Saturday. I was wrong. I was able to park right up front, and could have parked five more cars there too. I was glad. Then I tried to buy ground black pepper in a shaker bottle. I couldn't buy it. They don't stock that anymore. I could buy it in a rectangular tin. They sell six different tins of ground pepper, varying in size and brand. I use ground black pepper in shaker bottle at the office, disposable. The manager says they can possibly order it for me. I told him he doesn't have to do that. I'm sure I can find it at Winn Dixie or Safeway, maybe even the Dollar Store. He tells me when the store was remodeled they also pulled certain products. The changes made to Coral Ridge Publix were so extensive they have pervaded and changed the atmosphere of the store, making it anything but a pleasure. Their lack of business proves it and the fact it is no longer pulling in historic revenues has nothing to do with the people working in the store. read more

"Where shopping is a pleasure" ... NOT AT THIS LOCATION!!! Holy Moly- I've never been in a Publix that was so congested that you couldn't even move your cart due to the aisles being too small. You literally have to get out of peoples way at all times and don't have the leisure of actually shopping because you're always in someone's way. The people that shop at this location are rude, oblivious, and inconsiderate. I apologized to a woman for being in her way, and when I moved, she gave me a dirty look. I saw a guy coming out of an aisle with his cart, so before I came into that same aisle I said "Come on out, sir!" and he walked right by without saying anything. I yelled out "You're Welcome!". The way this store is setup is a complete cluster f*ck! I urge you to go to a different Publix if you're able to, you'll leave this one with anxiety and high blood pressure. read more

Purchased jerk chicken From this location I'm no one but I do not like to patronize a store where the staff is constantly yelling and screaming and joking with one another while your trying to decide how to spend your money and negotiate the aisles etc. It's like an obstacle course Anyway the chicken after I had taken it home looked half eaten. It gave me really bad diahrea for at least 24 hours. I only ate half before I discovered some half eaten chicken in the box. This was on my birthday and I spent the whole day crapping. They are generally friendly here, and have good quality produce and other things to consume. Their checkout displays say clearly what was on sale and how much you save too, which makes it fairly easy to check everything is accurate while they are ringing things up, which is way better than checking the whole tape after they finish checking you out, and are already started with the next person. :^) This is my main grocery to shop at by far!! My parents usually shop at Public in the Ft. Myers area too...we are all fans. read more
