This is one of those companies when you jump online and see that pricing are reasonable until after your first couple of months they increase the rent. don't fall for it. I actually recommend that you do your research and ask companies when the prices increase before moving forward. As consumers, you'd hope that what you see is what you pay NO not in this case. Big companies don't care about your budget. So don't be fooled about the online deals and promotion. the worse thing is having to move everything with a peace of mind until after 2-3 months you get an email that they will increase rent and now you find yourself stuck having to find another storage unit somewhere else. It is not a competitive market, its straight price gouging. Not worth it, do your research. read more

Pricing is good compared to others companies, but they bill you immediately for the next month Right after you've just made your current months payment. There were several potholes, which made it hard for me to reach my storage unit having to detour through awkward and tight spaces. read more

Literally one of the worst layouts for a storage establishment. One entrance/exit for this place is unreasonable considering the layout. Needed to store my stuff and had a 26' truck instant regret. Help yourself and make the choice to not go here. Simply go to the bigger and better one like 2 miles away or so. The road inside the storage unit itself is so under maintained that I was worried it would damage my tires. read more

Andy was very professional. He called me at the earliest the storage location was open to help confirm my reservation. On site he very clearly explained the process and additional paperwork, and was more than willing to answer my questions. He is very polite and helpful. The office has many moving products stocked for your use if you need supplies. At one point he helped me carry a part of a couch--not his job, but clearly he cares about his tenants. Although this site doesn't provide vehicle storage, Andy is very helpful about providing recommendations for safe vehicle storage. I feel that my stuff will be safe at this location because Andy is very diligent with his checks and very present on site. I would recommend this location to anyone. read more

Gloria was one of the nicest ladies I've ever met. She bent over backward to try and help me with my move from Oklahoma and she doesn't know me from Adam. While I was in the extremely clean and organized office waiting she was taking care of me as well as speaking to another lady on the phone and was just as nice to her as me. Extremely courteous and polite and an absolute pleasure to be around. read more

History

Established in 1972.

The first Public Storage building opened in El Cajon California, but the new business was only supposed to be temporary. Two partners pioneered the concept as a way to use their real estate investment while they waited for the Southern California community to take off and value of their land to grow. They kept building, and people continued to fill their units. Eventually the pair realized that self-storage was here to stay, and they never looked back. Today, there are thousands of neighborhood Public Storage locations to choose from, many right around the corner from you.

The impression I got from her was that she did not care if she was causing problems by not opening the gates on time. The owner is supposedly unreachable but after the police contact him I bet he'll be reachable. Also, this is not the first time I've gone there on the weekend and the gates have been locked. What ever you do don't do business with this company. Spend a little more to be sure that you can get to your storage when you need to, not when they feel like it.

Gloria was phenomenal to work with. I'm in the process of a move from Seattle to Colorado Springs and the moving company I've been working with has been nothing but dishonest and apparently unqualified. I called the company ahead of time with the address of the storage unit as well as truck access measurements and they assured me it would fit, but upon arriving at the site they refused to unload my property without an additional charge because they switched trucks and couldn't get into the site. They wanted me to pay $280+ and I'd already been charged 142% of the original estimate. I was livid and panicky because this company had already drained my funds, but Gloria was fantastic and reasoned with the mover despite his rude demeanor. She was a fantastic problem solver and did everything she could to lighten the load of this move for me. The site itself is very well-kept from the grounds, to the inside of my unit, to the freshly sanitized front desk. Very inviting and reasonably priced as well. read more

My experience with public was remarkable, Gloria was beyond helpful, my transitioning was less stressful. Leaving a unit is a good thing, but the trust and care Gloria brings to her job make you feel, you are leaving a place that cares. I know where to go if I need help again. The units and grounds are always clean. Her help with my arranging my stuff saved me a lot of sweat. Even with her busy schedule she managed to give me a drink and a smile.
