Also just letting everyone know sauce is not included in your meal here, told by bar staff it is $3 extra... so have fun trying to buy meals for everyone plus the kids when they are trying to charge $18 for some sauce. Menu clearly states plain gravy and sauce $1 extra - ask any questions and expect a mouthful of abuse from Chris the bar lady and told to leave the venue.

Drinks are especially expensive, with bottled premix spirits (Such as Jack Daniels) being $13AUD, but the food is well priced and the specials are excellent value. There are nibbles served during 5-7pm on a Friday to accompany your drinks which is a nice touch. There is a members club card available which gets you a dollar off each of the specials and other deals but not much value to be gained there, and despite stating "All drinks" the specials do not apply to bottle premix drinks. Service is a mixed bag with waiters very good, attentive and efficient but some individual bar staff can be downright rude. Cocktails are excellent and about the right price for what you receive and a good selection is on offer. Lunches are good value and are usually very well made, the food cannot be falted. Good for catching up on Friday nights and for lunches and dinners. After around 10pm the entire venue changes its tune to become a nightclub.

I have a lot of time for this venue. I visited again…read moretonight for dinner, snooker and beers with friends after a six month absence courtesy of my being in Melbourne. The Commercial Club offers facilities you expect in the city, but in the comfort of a rural setting, with the slower pace that is inherent herein. The self-serve, all you can eat buffet, at $18 dollars for non-members, $16 for members, offers an impressive array of commendable foods with great value for money. The bar is reasonably priced- a schooner of draught will set you back $4.50. Full TAB facilities, extensive pokies and automated roulette. Big screens and projectors for major sporting events. Gym. Lawn bowls. Off-site 18hole golf course. The jewel of this facility however, is one I have only recently become aware of- the snooker room. Fully equipped room with 8 tables and a great vibe. The most relaxing thing I have done in a while was to spend an evening there after dinner. Worth your time.
