I was taken in on time. All told, I was there a total of 1 hour, including the taking of X-rays and a procedure on my knee! Dr. Burris renders excellent care and takes the time to get to know you and engage in friendly conversation. In a time when one often expects lengthy delays, especially when visiting a specialist, Pinnacle Orthopaedics is a breath of fresh air.

She called me sweetie and within 2 minutes felt like it was her job to give me her "shpeal" as she put it about bring my CT scan and that I needed to do that and not always does their system work or can they log into Wellstar. I was trying to explain to her that it was an old CT scan and then she stated "Well then we don't need that and it doesn't matter" after cracking her knuckles and berating me. She was snappy and rude. My husband even was shocked at how she was speaking to me. I told her I would speak to my Dr about these matters at which time she just looked at me like I was being rude. She didn't realize at all that I have been in the medical field for 30 plus years and would never speak to a patient this way. She continued to talk to me like she was my Dr! at which time I again said, I will speak to my Dr about these things. Then she kind of laughed and walked out of the room with a huff. I did mention this to my very wonderful Dr. who was very professional and listened. I will stay a patient. Even when checking me out the MA came in, rolled her tongue over her teeth, cracked her neck with a head roll, and proceeded to ask me (thank God) yes or no questions about getting an MRI. Thank God I'm very well versed in all of this procedure so it was short. She really needs a class on speaking to patients that are in pain and new to the facility. And, she is NOT a Dr. she has no right to be acting this way at all as a medical assistant

She understood exactly what I needed and created a plan for me, to try alternative solutions. This took over a year. Anytime I went in for my appointment, I was always sure that I was in good hands because she is very thorough, understanding and knows what she's doing. Over one year later, I now walk without crutches and without pain, and without ever having surgery. A combination of process and procedures went into my healing and Dr Sylvia was one of them. However, in 2026, they STILL are 100% PAPER based, no online records or scheduling. Every single visit, they hand you a clipboard full of paper and ask you to complete 6-8 pages of forms even when nothing has changed since your last visit! The paper forms you have to continuallynfill out even ask for the exact same info (name, address, social security #, insurance info) on form after form after form! It makes no sense and visits seem so labor intense and 1990s-ish medical records. Because of Pinnacle Ortho's paper-based system and practice that works our fingers off on every visit, we have chosen to go to a different ortho practice where we can schedule online and complete all updates to our records online with NO PAPER!! And I don't know about you, but I hate having my personal info (especially Medicare # and social security #) on paper forms where it can be easily duplicated and a lack of safeguarding my info from unauthorized viewing. This practice needs to adapt to the 21st century!

He took his time taking measures of the hand that needed surgery. Dr. Starr made us feel comfortable about the upcoming operation. All staff members were welcoming and friendly. When I arrived, I was told I had to take a drug test before being seen, even after explaining that I was not there for pain medication and am not currently taking any. I was simply seeking a consultation for back pain. This requirement was presented as non-optional. Later, my insurance declined to cover the $250 test, as it was not medically necessary. I contacted the billing office in Conyers to explain that I did not request or need this test beyond being told it was required to be seen. While the representative was polite, I was ultimately told there was no recourse and that I must pay the bill regardless. I was then told I am fully responsible for the charge. It is very frustrating to be charged for a service that I did not request, felt I had no choice but to accept and ultimately my insurance company said was not necessary. If you are considering "Precision Spine Care - Marietta", aka Non-Surgical Orthopedics, be aware of possible billing surprises that may also affect you, for what feels like an elaborate profit-making scheme.
