What can I say? Mr. Black was amazing in his skills and aided in my recovery greatly. I am in the…read morehealth care rehabilitation profession and have been for 10 years now. I have had physiotherapy sessions in the past. Robert has a profound knowledge of the complexity of tissues relating to human anatomy, his manipulations and massage skills had very immediate results and I was astounded (though going in for therapy I was skeptical looking at his technique from a medical model). When he was done with only 2-3 sessions my knees, shoulder, and neck were greatly improved, as I went there as I was involved in head on collision (while I was parked) with a car involved in a high speed chase. My van flipped one to two times and ended up in a ditch. I was not in good shape. I recommend his services to anyone I encounter that have been through the typical rehabilitation system (specialists, physiotherapists, even other massage therapists etc) without any success. Robert has in-depth understanding of the complexities of tissues (micro-facial tissue), muscle fibers and holistic understanding of the inter relations of all of this anatomy with function and symptomology of the body. The greatest mystery I have in regards to Mr. Black is why he is not busier in Kingston, as I continually encounter people in my professional practice and in social settings who suffering or having to deal with conditions that mainstream medical intervention can't remedy but only issue medication for symptom management, which in turn exposes these individuals to potential complications stemming from pharmacological intervention and does not eliminate the problem. I look at his services as secret that needs to be shared and shouted from the roof tops, and I encourage others to see him and be truly be helped by his tremendous knowledge and skills.

This is NOT the same owners or physiotherapist. This once very well respected clinic is now under…read morenew management and oh boy you can tell. I was not aware of this change before I went. There were several red flags right away that made me wonder just how professional this clinic was. I was in a lot of pain so I did go to three appointments. The third was my last and I ended up walking out. I was insulted and talked down to. In the first visit I was asked what I was using for the pain. I told him I was not taking any pain medication mostly because my body didn't tolerate most pain medications, but I did take 2.5 to 5mg gummy sometimes for the pain and all my doctors were aware of this, and that seemed to be that. On my third visit I had been in a lot of pain that day so I took 2.5mg gummy a few hrs before my appointment so I could tolerate the exercises. At the beginning of this appointment I was discussing some issues I was having with the exercises that I was given to docwhen I was cut off and asked if I still wanted to do the exercises. I said of course and that I had taken half a gummy (2.5mg) a couple of hrs ago and felt that I wanted to try. As soon as I said that he looked at me and said are you sure you will be able to understand? I said understand what? He said any of the exercises or be able to read the handouts given with exercises on it. When I told him he was being very insulting and asked him why? He answered was because I just seemed off. Are you kidding me as a physiotherapist you are aware many of your patients are on pain medication, my chosen pain medication is gummies and not a large dose at that and I was perfectly fine. I said he was being totally unprofessional and insulting and left. So HEADS UP this is NOT the same Clinic.
