There are tons of marionettes around the city but these are the real deal- beautifully hand made and unique with characters from harry potter, lots of traditional witches, amazing dragons, traditional costumed men and women, animals of all kinds, the mermaids were stunning, numerous other cartoon and tv characters. Don't drag home another chunk of pottery or another item you may not ever wear or use- get a marionette! How about a holiday theme one you can remember your trip every time you take it out to decorate for Halloween or Christmas... what a lovely gift for someone, too. Prices range from small and simple around $30 USD but I'd plan to spend around $100 USD and get a nice one. Of course you can spend more if you want a dragon the size of your cat!

This is actually a review for the store in Vinohrady. My mom is a costumer and I watched her sew…read morefrom the time I was a little little girl. One of my favorite things to do with her is go fabric shopping for cute skirts and dresses for me. So when I decided to teach myself how to sew, so I could have all the funky stuff that I loved at home, this (the Vinohrady store) was my first stop for all of my sewing needs. The staff is so nice even though I don't speak Czech. We some how figure out how to communicate with each other. I always get what I want and more. The selection of fun, colourful, and funky fabrics is one of the best I have seen in Czech. I love it. I always look forward to browsing and dreaming of the all the fun things I will make for myself when I get good enough.
