This was…read morea 2-hour appt that I scheduled far in advance and required me to completely juggle my work schedule. I even confirmed the appointments 2 days previously following a text prompt. When I got to the PCCS office, they informed me that my 2 appointments had been cancelled and I must have done that by mistake when I confirmed. They could squeeze me in later in the day but that would not work with my schedule. Plus how do they think they can "squeeze" in a 2 hour set of appointments? Here is what is shady - they claimed that my appointments were cancelled at 7:41 am 2 days before. I was in a zoom meeting at that time. It wasn't me that did this. And the prompt that I got from them to confirm or cancel my appointments was at 9 am - so if it had already been cancelled why did they text me to confirm? This is really unprofessional. I will find a different pulmonary group.

As it turns out I have the mildest form and only need medication "as needed" and not as my PCP had prescribed, which was 3 x per day. Great office, great doctor, and Chris and Mary, and the rest of the staff are very friendly, very caring and professional. I learned a lot thanks to Dr. Honeycutt - who never rushes through his appointments, and Chris and Mary. Very, very helpful.

WILLOWBROOK LOCATION - First, let me say the doctors are wonderful. However, if you need or expect…read moreto need continued care you will not get it at this location. I've been with them for 3 years now and in the last year (visits every 3 months) I've had to call and text and hound anyone to return my calls to get my appointments scheduled. Every appointment in the last year has been late due to their scheduling or lack of answering the phone. I've left hundreds of messages with the answering service, called at all times of the day, and emailed their portal. I even tried switching to a different location but Houston Methodist won't let me. My only option if I want consistent administration of my medication (injections) I must start over with another neurology center.

THIS REVIEW IS REGARDING DR. AARTHI RAM (neurologist, sleep medicine specialist)…read more This video visit was bad from start to finish. I sensed this doctor was NOT going to accept me as a patient before my appointment even began: 1. She starts out the appointment by first pulling up a list of doctors I have seen already. (Apparently, in the EPIC charting system, the doctors can see previous appts you have had - whether they are related to your current visit or not). 2. She then (in so many words) basically accuses me of doctor shopping by stating that I can't keep seeing doctors. My thing is, a person has no choice but to keep seeing doctors if they are not getting the help they need!! Doctors like her are the reason people can never stop seeking help! 3. She then wastes time having me to stand up and move my legs/arms on camera to complete her so-called neuro assessment even when it became obvious she wasn't going to help me. 4. She also said that "If you were my patient, I wouldn't even complete any studies with you until you have been off your medication for at least 30 days. This Is absurd! Mind you I am here to seek help with a disorder that severely impacts my life and she's telling me that she would take me off a medication that is keeping me functioning??? This is a classic example of doctors with no empathy/compassion. Patients have families, obligations, hectic work schedules and for her to not discuss this when discontinuing a medication is careless. 5. She ended the visit by simply telling me to re-visit one of the previous doctors I had seen already. She said just continue to see Dr. X and follow through with whatever they say and if then come see me with your records. Really? Clearly, I wasn't happy with Dr. X in the first place which is why I came to see you! Here's my main issue: I have seen bad doctors before (as I'm sure we all have since there are so many out there) but if a doctor is unwilling OR unable to help you, the proper thing for them to do is say "I'm sorry I'm not able to assist you, there will be no charge for this visit". It is malicious and predatory to treat patients in such a, disregarding manner and then bill their insurance and make them pay their co-pay. As I stated earlier, I felt that she had already determined she wasn't going to take me on as a patient based on her language and demeanor. It was obvious she just scrolled through the EPIC charting system, saw my old visits with other doctors and decided from that point she wasn't going to take me on as a patient. Mind you, we hardly even discussed my prior records that I as was asked to submit to the office!!!! Also, when I called the office to complain, the office manager Annette was rude, unprofessional and dismissive. Anette tried to convince me that I didn't have a bad experience and continued to defend the doctor. At one point, she began to argue with me! I then said you are entitled to your own opinion and so am I, but I will not argue with you about my own horrible experience. She never once apologized! Just a side note: In my opinion, virtual videos for initial consults/first time visits are lazy on the part of the doctor. There is no way to collect necessary baseline vitals and other pertinent info such as (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, lung sounds, simple skin check). If any of the above vitals were abnormal the doctor would have to assess these things and take them into account before providing treatment! In my opinion, video visits were clearly created so doctors can see more patients, do less work and make more money! This feels like scamming is being made legal for doctors. I feel video visits should only be conducted AFTER the initial consult! I only accepted this video visit out of desperation and also because the office called-me to say that had sooner availability if i took a video visit. Well, I definitely learned my lesson!

They return my calls within a day and are attentive to my needs. Together, they have helped my health improve significantly. The only drawback is the front office. They are busy multitasking which makes it difficult when needing someone to answer your calls rather than leaving a message. I often feel like a huge inconvenience when checking in even when the check-in tablet is not functioning or when needing a question answered. Paperwork is always slow to get processed but it does eventually get done. It's not a reason I would consider changing practices!

I have been forced by the horrible performance of your office staff to change doctors. As you know,…read moreI've many times complained of how bad the office staff is at your present group. I've told you before that I was going to change doctors because of the staff issues. The old office was fine. But ever since you've moved to that group you are now with, apparently they are too cheap to hire qualified, knowledgeable, conscientious or even adequate people. One small symbol of this is that when I go there, I pay the bill in full. Then I get a bill in the mail indicating what I paid wasn't the full balance. It's often an odd number, never consistent, and it just indicates that they don't know what they are doing. Of course, that's not why I'm changing doctors, but it's one indication as to how abysmal their performance is. Calling to get answers just leads to being left on hold forever. That indicates very bad understaffing. Nobody responsible ever answers. I still haven't been able to reach Jennifer Stewart. These people just won't do their jobs competently. They don't have the integrity or sense of conscientiousness one would expect from a medical practice - certainly I would never allow them to work in my law office. They would never last a week. If someone left a client on hold as long as I've been left on hold by your office, they'd be out the door that day. Our office staff is expected to behave as professionals. Yours apparently, not so much. I was supposed to be switched to the at-home Xolair. Your staff claimed to have gotten authorization for that from the insurance company - eventually, after several months of reminders. But that was apparently a lie. They never had. I learned from YOUR STAFF just yesterday that it was never authorized for at home use. They had never, ever, done their job. I was supposed to get it in June. It never happened. Eventually I made an appointment to come in and get it in August, in the office. According to someone who said she works from home and is named Jessica (I really can't say I believe her) I never contacted your office about this until December, but obviously I (1) made an appointment to get it in August, so I had told your office that I hadn't gotten it, and (2) came in to your office in August, so again, told them that I hadn't gotten it. Only after I pointed that out to her she said that in August they re-ordered it again, doing what hadn't worked before, and didn't work the second time. She said at first that I'd never contacted them about this issue until November. Why did she lie to me? They knew in August. After three months of waiting, I called again in November. Again, nothing was done. They did no follow up to find out what wasn't working. None. Nobody contacted me for more than a month, so I contacted your office again. Then in December, after a month, I called again. NOW they say the insurance won't cover at-home delivery. They said they had authorization in June, but now they say it's not covered. It seems to me they either are lying, or just never did their job. It's not just frustrating - it is verging on malpractice to allow your staff to not do their jobs and to lie to patients. It certainly puts patients at risk. If I have a case in which motions need to be filed, and my secretary either doesn't file them or doesn't follow up, she's out of a job. Are prescriptions so much less important? Apparently so. At least to your staff. When I try to find out what happened, I get left on hold for more than an hour amongst multiple calls. Really? Nobody is willing to be honest with me, or show me any records of what REALLY transpired. They are stonewalling and lying to me. It's intolerable. And how am I supposed to follow up with your office when it's clear that nobody cares because nobody has to? Unfortunately, you seem to be a good doctor, but you've surrendered your integrity, reputation and practice to a medical group that has no concern whatsoever about patient care, but only about maximizing profits by hiring the least skilled, least competent, and least conscientious beginners they can find - and not even having enough of THEM to get the job done. I know you're better than this. I know that you know how bad your staff is. I've told you. This isn't news to you. But you've put up with it, for whatever reasons I cannot fathom, but you should not. Are you really making that much more money that this is worth it to you? You should leave that group of bloodsucking thieves and demand a staff that cares about patient care. It reflects very poorly on your medical ethnics that you remain there. You know better, you are better than that, but still the problems persist and you look away. I cannot understand it. It is quite sad, really. I didn't want to change doctors, but if I can't trust your staff, I can't trust you. Goodbye.
