It's truly a dirty dusty dump with really unhealthy bad high sodium, give ya the shits or constipation food. I'm on a special diet and my family members would bring me food and I was denied access to it. The staff members stole the food because I never got it when I left. I also almost never got all my bath and beauty products back...they were not packed with my belongings. When I went to retrieve them, I was treated like nothing but a pain in the ass. While a patient there, I had to poop on my 3rd day finally...the bathroom in my room was occupied by my room mate and the staff would NOT allow me to use the staff bathroom...again treating me like a second class citizen...trash. I didn't poop that day. when I left here, I had blood in me feces for days due to inflammation in my digestive tract from not having access to the foods my body needs. When I met with the main "doctor" here, he stated that the human body does not have an endocannabinoid system (idiot) and he stated the cannabis is destroying the healthcare system....he's an idiot obviously. I have been diagnosed a drug addict for medicating my spinal disease with a plant instead of pain pills. What destroyed the healthcare system is all the idiots who didn't get their covid vaccines inundating the hospitals and dying due to their misinformation. COVID destroyed the healthcare system, not marijuana. dumb ass...he is an ignorant sorry excuse for a doctor.

This place is absolutely the best facility that I have ever been to (out of the other 8 I have been…read moreto). I know everyone has different experiences, but this place has AMAZING STAFF who whole heartedly care about you and will help you with anything you need. Serenity made it very easy to get and stay clean. I met with the Dr. and Councilor about every weekday to confirm how I was feeling/how the medication was working. They stress that they are not keeping you against your will. You may leave at any time but of course the staff will try to talk you out of it because they truly care. It is the same as going to any Dr.s Office, yes you pay for your own transportation to and from, however all meals and snacks are provided. Meetings are held every couple of hours and your able to go outside after each group and meal. I love that they use a tapering system and they don't wait for you to be in agony like a lot of other places where you're ready to pass out before they will give you meds (i.e. Spectrum).

The place is a money mill since the new owners took over. I was admitted several times for detox, never did I meet with a councilor, but my insurance was billed. My last visit there they discharged me against doctors' orders after 8 days; they tossed me out in the rain with no way to get home. I told them at admission I could stay for 5 days as my disabled wife was alone and I'm her caregiver; they wouldn't let me leave and talked me into staying longer. Anyway, when I finally said I can't stay any longer they treated me like dirt. All they care about is money, once they have your insurance info they won't let go. Some of the staff are good, the problems are with the people at the top. PS, the only thing the so called doctor at this place has ever been addicted to is jelly doughnuts. My advice is STAY AWAY.
