If I could give them zero stars I would. No words can describe this unruly experience. Completely distraught, truly unbelievable if you are considering going to this horrendous place think again. They pulled my friend and I off the street into their shop for a "reading" and never disclosed any price. As teenagers we were so excited all they said was come let's give you a reading obviously trying to make us think it was free although they never disclosed if it was free or not they gave us that impression. After a 1 min reading of generic information they very promptly said "that will be 20 dollars" immediately i realized we were taken advantage of because we were young. I couldn't believe it, it was so disgusting and scary my friend and I didn't know what to do lucky i only had a few bucks on me so i gave them what i had and left as soon as i could. My friend out of fear went to the atm and lucky had no money, she went to give them the 4 bucks she had and they harassed her telling her they had given her an amazing reading and that now she needs to go and tell her family and friends about them. Not to mention they added her mom was "in trouble". At the time processing and in fear we left as fast as we could not realizing how weird and not okay that was. Very concerning behavior from a "psychic". Approaches people on the street and does what I consider a bait and switch- gives a reading, but then demands money for something (in one case it was a crystal, in another it was for a cleansing). When you tell her you do not have the money, she has said "I know you do, you need to go to an ATM". Two people I have talked to said she did the same thing after, said she could tell a curse was on them and without her help (and your money) your life will be 'terrible'. "That's funny, because life was just fine before you approached me while loading groceries into the car". The only thing that is 'terrible' here is that someone would manipulate people in this way, leaving them fearful. This borders on criminal behavior, and reminds me of a recent psychic arrest in New York who was doing similar things to people, but on a larger scale financially. Please do not be taken advantage of. We do not live in the dark ages. You are not cursed. Do not be afraid to say no. Notice that the psychics with great reputations are not coming up to you in parking lots or sidewalks trying to get money- their good name and work speaks for itself and they often have wait lists of years or months through word of mouth. If you have been defrauded out of large sums of money, please research the NY case and file a report, you may be able to get help. Everyone needs to be warned about what is going on here. Another reviewer mentioned that a famous YouTuber had this happen to her by this psychic and made a video on it. Unbelievable. I've been to several psychics so I know a scam artist when I see one usually. But this one almost had me fooled. Her name is Theresa. Her first reading was okay; nothing profound, but it wasn't terrible. But then she saw "a curse." I was skeptical, I've heard this line before. But she offered to do a cleanse for only $60 which was a steal compared to other psychics who said the same things and charged over $2,000. AND a friend of a friend had done a cleanse with her before and said it was fine. So, I figured "why not, I could use a cleanse." I pay her half upfront even though she asked for the full amount, and she says to come back on a Monday at 2pm. I come back on Monday at 2pm, she's on the phone. She's kind of disoriented. Apparently, she's not ready for me... I drove over an hour to see her...annoying but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She says to come back at 7pm. I assume she must've needed the time to set up all the candles and the decor or whatever would be involved, but when I walk in at 7, there's nothing set up and we walk into the same room we were in before. She just tells me that she performed a ceremony with a colleague without me and found some disturbing things about the curse and that she'll need me to come back tomorrow to do another ceremony that could cost me anywhere between $500 to $800. This is when I slap myself in the face... I've fallen for a scam. I tell her that I don't believe in curses, that I'm in control of my destiny and happiness and leave gracefully. But I wish I could've told her this: "I am a good person and I've gone through a lot in my life. I put my faith in you. I thought you'd be a good person too, a real light worker, guiding the rest of us through the hardships of our lives. But, instead, you looked for my insecurities or what you thought were my insecurities and you tried to manipulate me. You spent an hour telling me that I wasn't good enough, that there was something wrong with me, that I'd be forever alone and stuck in a state of unhappiness. While you did have me second guessing at some moments, I saw right through you. I left, upset. More because I don't understand why of all people, of the thousands of rich studio city snobs you see everyday, you decide to scam me. But what I'm more afraid of is the fact that you can hurt people with these things you've told me. I am a strong person but not everyone is. And your words could kill them. I hope that you consider this before you do this to someone else. I understand that you need to make a living, but there are so many ways to do that without pushing others down to get there." read more
