Late, Unprofessional, and Blaming the Customer…read more I booked two one-hour sessions--one for me at 9:15 am and one for my daughter at 10:15 am. Uma, the owner, confirmed this in writing in an email (see attached). My daughter and I showed up early (8:50 am). At 9:12 am we walked to the building and the doors were locked. I forwarded Uma her own email and asked if we needed to reschedule. No response, and the door to the business was still locked at 9:15, our scheduled time. My daughter and I waited for 10 minutes. A car pulled in around 9:28 with a man and a woman inside, but I had no idea who they were. The woman went in while the man carried a bag for her, but I've never seen Uma, so I do not know if that was her. So we left. She called me at 9:33--after our session was supposed to start--asking if I was still coming. She claimed she had 9:30 in her calendar, as if that overrides what she sent me in writing. What bothered me most was not the mix-up but the unprofessional way she handled it. Her email after the fact was passive-aggressive, no real apology, and telling me not to book with her again. I didn't get the service I paid for because she was not on time, and somehow, she still tried to make it my fault for not waiting around even longer. She also had the nerve to tell me never to book with her again. I would've gladly rescheduled. Instead, I got attitude and was blamed for not accommodating her unprofessional behavior. If this is how she handles her business, she needn't worry about me booking with her again. Blessings.

When I went to Juli I had just recently lost my mom, my constant companion and best friend and I was embarking on a new career. I could barely manage regular day to day with all of the pain I was feeling and although I knew it was time and I needed to focus on my next chapter I was letting my past role as the "fixer" pull me away from this focus. Juli worked with me and my guides at great length in addressing my passion, examining the ways I allow distractions to keep me from it and my fears around it. We formulated a tailored, do-able business plan, a menu of services, and a vision of what my business would look like if I owned what I am...a limitless being with limitless potential working with Spirit for the Highest Good of myself and others. Once on the compound, it was difficult to miss; large glass doors and walls with the humongous crest on the front of the building. We decided to do a walk in tasting and were lucky enough to have Jonathon be our guide to all the outstanding spirits made at the distillery. Jonathon was extremely knowledgeable about the distillery's history, products, and merch. Jonathon's passion for the distillery was continually on display, and he kept the spirits light with his unique brand of humor. Be mindful that the tasting room was packed, so I also recommend making a reservation to ensure you can enjoy the experience. The options for the tasting were the clear or amber flight options. The clear choices being some of the steeped fruit and tea liquors, served with mixers for their signature cocktails. These drinks were what the distillery was most known for. The ambers were their more recent whiskey offerings, consisting of differing ageing and steeping techniques, to create their very different spirit flavors and textures. Jonathon was able to give us the history of each spirit, as well as provide mixing options, if they were a little strong for the palette. The ambers were all unique and each provided a little something for you to think over and you tasted your way through the Murlarkey display. We really enjoyed the tasting, the whiskey, the ambience, and especially Jonathon, who made the experience totally worthwhile. We grabbed a couple bottles, some of their great Bootlegger Boys merch, and made our way to their cocktail bar, Proof to taste some more of their signature cocktails. If you're in the area and looking for a fun way to spend a couple hours, look no further than the Murlarkey Distillery. Hope to see you soon.
