It didn't feel like a safe or compassionate space, and that's been hard to reconcile--especially because I was open and vulnerable, and I expected to be met with care, or at the very least, respect. Throughout the session there were times I tried to change to subject off an issue that I wanted to move away from but she kept going back to it even when I was clearly uncomfortable, crying and wanted to move on from it.
