However, when I called at 10pm for a next day departure to the train station at 8am, it did not go well. When no one had arrived by 803, I called the dispatch and the taxi going to be delayed 20 min. They apologized that we hadn't been informed but this is ridiculous for a taxi service. It reminds me of why I like using Uber, where you can track drivers (Uber is not available in Oxford). I realized when talking to our driver that he had been out directly before on another fare. It definitely wasn't his fault and was very poor planning by the dispatch. You do receive a text when the driver is about to arrive, and when I called again to see where our driver was, I got an automatic response that he was within 1 min.

He came early and didn't complain when we had to turn around because i forgot something. We got there in plenty of time - i even caught an earlier train than i had planned.
