You can't give less than 1 star unfortunately. We worked with CPG for 2 years for our business…read moreaccounting and management. In 2 years they made more mistakes than I can count. Our quarterly taxes were missed ALL 8 TIMES! Our LLC was supposed to be switched over to file as an S Corporation and the application was sent off like a postcard! No receipt confirmation or follow up from CPG and a year later we find out the IRS never received the application and we would have to wait until next year to be approved and file accordingly. "I don't know what to tell you" was their response and the extra $10,000 plus was our liability. On their site it says, "At CPG, we believe successful relationships are built on care, trust, understanding and open communication." I can't emphasize enough how opposite they treated us. Do yourself a favor and save your time, money and energy and find someone else! We did and have been 10 times better since we switched and we recommend him to EVERYONE we know, work with and meet! Thanks for nothing CPG!!

I am a Greenwich Investment Management client who has experienced strong, steady, positive returns…read moreas well as some outstanding performance over the years. The firm's investment philosophy is atypical of what you find with most managers. Cash income from investments is a significant part of the performance. What this means is that my portfolio manager does not necesarily need to sell profitable investments to genrate the funds needed to buy new investments. This helps keep my capital gains taxes low. The firm also specializes in the kinds of municipal bonds that are typically managed within a mutual fund; but because the GIM portfolios are individually managed, my experience has been that the total return is greater than a mutual fund's return. The firm caters to high-net-worth individuals, so this is not a place for someone with a small portfolio.

They were happy to take my money in terms of fees but did not place any trades in my account in the two-year engagement that I had with them, missing several opportunities to grow. A real shame because I had placed all my trust in them as my financial advisors, and they severely disappointed me. There were so many opportunities to invest, and for all their so-called wisdom, it doesn't benefit their client a single bit. You are better off managing your own money yourself rather than trusting these "false" experts.

Unexpectedly, I came into a situation in which I needed to structure an installment sale on a…read moresignificant asset, on a short timeframe. Part of the reason I had such a short timeframe was that a team of lawyers and accountants I had retained (who were good general tax practitioners but, it turned out, were not familiar with this niche of tax law) had been running circles on this issue and not coming up with good answers. As time was running out, I turned to Google, and 4Structures came up with a very helpful article on the topic. I called the number on their site late in the day, and John Darer picked up directly. He was about to board a plane, but I explained the situation briefly, and he said he was pretty sure he knew the answer, but he'd do a little extra research to confirm while he was on the plane (via wifi), and would call me back after he landed, later in the evening (well after normal work hours!) Sure enough, John called back as promised, and had a very clear answer and plan of attack for the issue moving forward. We solved the problem very soon after that. I couldn't believe how simple he made this process, when teams of other lawyers and accounts had failed. If you have any issued related to structured installment sales, John is your man. He is very likely one of the top experts in this field in the country, and he's incredibly affable, generous with his time, and offers unparalleled care and service to his clients. Thank you John! I will be enthusiastically recommending you to anyone else I know who needs support in this field.
