Beautiful views of Anderson, SC. Be advised that most of the seating is outside thus the name Up On…read moreThe Roof. We went on Mother's Day , bright and sunny skies and HOT in the sun. The whole trying to get out of the sun was a thing. They have some seating indoors, and some seating under a roof . Everything else is outside with no cover whatsoever. There appeared to be a sun shade that could be pulled over the seating area but perhaps I was wrong because surely they would have utilized the sun shade if it were available. I think because they were very busy the manager ( from NJ) was harder to deal with than usual ( don't know as I've never been there) on the ride up in the elevator the people getting in said " Good Luck" to us . The waiter and host were very nice but apparently anytime a guest tried to get seated out of the sun the manager sounded very irritated. Anyway.... On to the food : I am extremely gluten sensitive. So far no stomach issues and it's been a couple of hours. We had a charcuterie board that was delicious. The only gluten were pencil breadsticks. I ate cheese and grapes and pickled okra. It was very fresh and good. I had the fresh trout meal which included creamed corn and a few baby grilled carrots. There were two pieces. It was really tasty . They have one gluten free desert : strawberry shortcake type deal. Almond cake with strawberry confiet. It was really delicious. The head chef is gluten free so I felt safe eating there. My other family members had a breakfast burrito and chicken lettuce wraps. They both seemed to enjoy their meals. I will most probably give it another shot on a non holiday to see if they have more luck with finding another coffee press ( they apparently were all in use or they truly just had one?) and to see if seating of your choice is more accommodated.

I'm typically not the type of person who orders brussel sprouts as an appetizer, but theirs are *chef's kiss*. We could've gotten full off of those and the chicken lettuce wraps alone. Our chicken sandwiches were both really flavorful and fresh. The mango slaw was the perfect addition! Desserts were also amazing. I'm so glad I finally had the opportunity to try this establishment. The location and views are immaculate. Free parking in the garage and easy access to the roof. I will definitely be back!

Hit and miss. I thoroughly enjoy the fact that you can get a cigar here and smoke during dinner…read more That being said not all patrons like that. And some of them make a big deal about the smoke, but my thought is you knew that coming in here so why are you complaining about it? When I was there last week there were two guys at the end of the bar, obviously overserved. One of them fell off his barstool and the two of them thought they knew the words to every single 90s hip-hop song that was being played... they did not... but they sang loudly anyway. ‍ I asked the bartender what I should have for food, and she said the only thing that she ever eats there is the brisket Philly sandwich. I got that and the sandwich did not look like a Philly at all, more like a hoagie bun that was hollowed out with meat and cheese inside it. It had a sweet flavor to it, which was odd for brisket so I'm assuming they must've put a sweetened barbecue sauce on it, which I couldn't see because of all the cheese burying the brisket. Only chips as a side. How do you not have a fryer for French fries

Well, if you are a snob with an attitude, this may not be your place! But if you like a cheap bear,…read moretop notch-friendly and family-like atmosphere, and cool, friendly people and old-school stuff, then keep on reading. You turn onto Sloane Ave. from College Blvd., just across from the back entrance/valet of the Shepherd Hotel. It's a small bar and, of course, a dive with lots of graffiti. They are usually open until 7 PM. It's not your late-night college bar, although a bunch of college regulars will also flock to the place. They have a pool table. You also can play your music all day/evening long! Classic Rock is the vibe, though. Two drafts on tap. Nati Light and Narragansett Lager. Draft for a dollar and a pitcher for seven bucks! Yes, I typed that right! Besides, most domestic beers are available for about three bucks each. All are served with a koozie. All you can get is only popcorn with your beer, but you can bring your pizza and have a good time with your friends. Hey, you got it! Jimmy, Beth, and Sydney are awesome behind the bar and make your day better! They will make you feel welcome and greet you by your name every time. One Sydney shared a great story, and I thought that was awesome! Sydney, a Political Science major at Clemson, told her Dad that she got a bartending job, and her Dad was not happy about that, and Then she said to him that she got that job at the "Sloane Street Tap Room," and her Dad was surprisingly silent! She nervously asked, "What, Dad?." Dad slowly answered, "I worked there too when I was at Clemson!." Wow!!! Congratulations, Sydney, you are not only a legacy student at Clemson, but you are also a legacy bartender too! How cool is that? Sloane Street Tap Room is different! Check it out!
