Best decision I've ever made is to hire Anh Thanh as my photographer on the most important day of my life. He was very sweet and caring. He took the time out to explain what he needs and what to do. Of course it would be everyone's first time as a wedding therefore, we might not know what to do, but he was fantastic and show us the ropes. He gave us different options of packaging for prices, and the best option was presented. He was very patient with his client and the results of the photo were outstanding. The photo quality was amazing and I couldn't ask for a better photographer. I highly highly recommend. read more

Thanh was quick to respond, had the exact style that my friend loved for her family photoshoot, was able to adjust quickly with schedules and the family needs, took amazing photos even though it was a crazy heat wave, communicated well with myself and my friend, payment was easy, and most of all: the photos turned out incredible. My friend was so excited about all of the pictures, their laptop died during the transfer but Thanh was able to get photos to them quickly in another way. The professionalism, great communication, and quality of the photos made it great from planning to the event! read more

We had an amazing experience with our photographer for my husband's 40th birthday Desi Casino Night! He captured every special moment so beautifully--from the décor and candid guest photos to all the fun, laughter, and dancing throughout the evening. The drone videos were such a fantastic addition and gave the celebration a truly cinematic feel. He was professional, creative, and so easy to work with from start to finish. We are so grateful to have these memories captured so perfectly and would highly recommend him for any special event! read more

Thanh was excellent to work with! I had less than a week to get new professional headshots done before starting with a new company, and Thanh was professional, prompt and clear with communications and very easy to coordinate with pre-photoshoot, during and after. Even though I only needed 3 images edited for work, some of my favorites ended up being more candid, outdoor lifestyle images. Highly recommend! Professional, kind, easy to work with and extremely prompt with excellent quality images. read more

Thanh captured my vision, added to that vision and executed the perfect graduation photoshoot of my dreams. Even though my shoot was booked for only 2 hours, Thanh had the patience to ensure that a few unplanned hiccups didn't affect our timing. He had plenty options and visual examples of angles, poses and photo ops for me to choose from during the shoot which calmed my 1st professional photoshoot nerves. Overall, from the initial inquiry to the planning to the shoot and then editing - every aspect felt seamless and exactly as I'd hoped. Thank you, Thanh, for your patience, professionalism and good humor throughout it all! I'd 1000% book again and recommend to friends for any occassion. read more

Thanh had 2 very reasonable price packages for a proposal shoot. He was also prompt to update day of due to unforeseen traffic issues so it made it easier to adjust as needed, it's pretty unreasonable to expect no traffic given where we had the shoot (Santa Cruz, Noon, on a Saturday during the Summer). He set up a drone (no sound of course) and was shooting with his camera. We got tons of shots and he also lead us with different poses and stayed a bit longer to ensure he got enough. We have over 200 photos and we can choose 15 to be edited. Overall great attitude and it was easy to coordinate. I appreciate his work. read more

Thanh did a great job capturing our engagement photos live! He was professional, helpful with posing, and the photos turned out great. My fiancée also said Thanh helped him in choosing the right spot for good photos in the area we were in, and he was right! Awesome spot. His cameras are really high quality and he was so fantastic about giving us access to the photos right away. Awesome experience with Thanh for engagement pics! read more

We hired Thanh for our team retreat in Santa Cruz, and it was a great experience from start to finish. He was responsive, easy to work with, and brought a great energy to the day. He captured a variety of shots for us, including professional headshots, team photos, candid moments, and impressive drone footage that really elevated the final results. He did a great job with the editing as well. If you're looking for a photographer for a corporate event, team retreat, or group gathering, I would highly recommend him. read more

While we had a great experience with Thanh for our engagement shoot, our wedding was quite a different experience. He did not bring a second shooter, as was promised. There was a lot of miscommunication during the entire wedding, although we provided a schedule and list of photos we wanted to be captured. He missed many key moments while he would be reviewing photos, so much to where our wedding party had to remind him to take a photo of my groom crying as I was walking down the isle. After taking family photos, my husband and I were so frustrated that we did not have a chance to do our private vow photos. We have even booked a session with another photographer because we don't have enough photos with just the two of us from our own wedding. During our getting ready photos with my bridesmaids, he was so focused on taking a bunch of photos of the steamer being used. We were finished using the steamer when he arrived, but my girls continued to use it because he was focused on getting the steam effect in photos. To add even more frustration, every photo he took of our guests dancing has a blurry effect. When we would ask him to take a photo of us with a guest, we would see the camera move super fast and had no idea what he was doing, until we reviewed the photos later that night. I understand he was trying to add "cool effects", however some normal photos would have been nice. While he did capture a few good photos, the icing on the cake was the edited photos we just reviewed. There were many things overlooked, once again. Photos that could have at least been straightened out and edited with more care. It honestly seemed like the photos that we requested to be edited were returned to us with a filter added on them with no other retouching. I've waited over a year to post this because I was unsure if I wanted to leave a negative review for a small business owner. He does have a portfolio with beautiful work, which is why we booked him. Unfortunately, I wish I would have had more insight on someone's experience before deciding to book him for our wedding that we will never be able to re-do. With that being said, Thanh is very kind and I believe he means well, however, there is room for improvement as far as communication, editing, planning, and execution. If you decide to book your wedding with him, I advise that you proceed with caution. However, if you are looking to book a smaller shoot with him, I would recommend him for that. read more

My husband and I hired Thanh Trinh to capture our wedding, and unfortunately the results were disappointing. Especially, considering the cost and expectations we had for a professional photographer. To start, the photographer arrived 20 minutes late to our ceremony, which delayed the start of one of the most important moments of our lives. That alone was stressful and unprofessional. When we received the photos, we were extremely disappointed. Most of the photos were overexposed and washed out, making our skin look pale and unnatural. Even after edits, the images still lacked depth, color, balance, and detail. Many of our guests' photos (taken on regular cameras and phones) actually came out clearer and true to color than the ones we received. There was also a lack of creativity in shots. The posing, framing, and composition felt basic and uninspired. When we brought up our concerns, the photographer dismissed them completely, saying it was "impossible" for the photos to be of lower quality, and never responded afterward. That kind of attitude and lack of accountability is extremely disappointing. We trusted this photographer to capture our special day, and it's frustrating to feel so let down, both by the quality of the work and the professionalism. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a wedding photographer who values timeliness, creativity, and communication. read more

Thanh was an amazing addition to our wedding. We really wanted to provide instant prints for our guests but didn't know who to connect with. Thanh appeared from a Google search and we reached out to him right away. Thanh was responsive and professional from the start. He answered our questions and guided us on what would be the best options for us. Thanh followed up with us and accommodated any special requests we had. Super easy to work with. At the reception, Thanh arrived early with his team member. The two were quick to set up and were organized throughout the event. Our guests loved taking home a picture of them with us at the end of the night. It was such a cool guest favor. The coolest thing about Thanh was he offered to fly his drone for us during the reception. It was such a great way to capture the entire venue. He uploaded all pictures and videos for us the following day! The pictures and videos he took are so special to me! The reception flew by but at least I have pictures and videos to look back on! read more

It was an absolute pleasure working with Thanh when it came to capturing my surprise proposal moment. As a professional photographer, he knew exactly where to place us in the photos, he knew what areas had the best lighting, and what poses we could do to help highlight the special moment. He was very easy to work with, extremely patient, communicates well, and absolutely meticulous when it comes to details. You won't regret hiring him, he comes highly recommended. 10/10 ! read more

I envisioned an editorial, storybook-style session that captured me as a mother with my toddler and baby, and our shared bond with horses. Tanh exceeded every expectation, creating a breathtaking fairytale album that feels timeless and cinematic. He was effortless to be around, which allowed the moments to unfold naturally and authentically. I am absolutely in love with the images and still in awe of the fairytale shots. I truly hope to work together again soon. read more

We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful videographer to capture our wedding day. From the very first meeting, they made us feel completely comfortable and understood exactly what we wanted. On the wedding day, they blended in so naturally--it felt like having a good friend behind the camera.Every detail was captured with so much heart--the laughter, the tears, and all those little moments we didn't even realize were happening. The final video brought us right back to that day, and we've already watched it more times than we care to admit! We're so grateful for their talent, kindness, and patience. Thank you for giving us a keepsake we'll cherish forever. read more

This is the first time I have booked Thanh for my wedding banquet. In stead of waiting for him to edit my pictures then posting on Yelp, I have to post a review and pictures right away after I receive my raw pictures. First, I really appreciate him to make an effort to fulfill my desire to take pictures with my guests. He was like spinning around all the time but still helped me to save all precious and unforgettable moments. All the the pictures he took are super amazing. Like he said when we started discussing about the wedding package. The picture quality is really nice already. Here are several pics of it. read more

Thanh was amazing for our engagement photos at Filoli. Communication and booking was easy. We coordinated our date and time over Yelp and mostly text. Our raw photos even before editing turned out amazing and we had all of our photos right after our shoot. We originally planned for an hour but the lighting and spring flowers were too good for photos that we kept shooting for a few hours. Thanh directed us through poses. He has a great eye for photo composition and we had a good mix of fun, intimate and detail shots. He had a lot of suggestions on Bay Area locations for us to consider knowing that I wanted to catch some spring bloom. Thanh was one of the most reasonably priced and responsive photographers that I looked at either through Yelp or through friends and family suggestions. Highly recommend Thanh for your next professional photo shoot. I think these unedited photos show Thanh knows what he's doing behind the camera. read more

Fantastic photos, very efficient photoshoot timing and great value! Thanh even stayed a few minutes beyond our time together because my sister was running late. Thanh was amazing for my wedding! From start to finish, he was super responsive via text message and answered any questions I had. On the wedding day, he arrived earlier than agreed, walked the premise to scope out the venue, and started taking pictures of the decor, scenery, and our family. He provided directions for the best shots, and was super accommodating when we asked him for input and certain scenes that we wanted captured. He immediately transferred raw photos before leaving, allowing us to have our memories right then and there. He also even threw in the bonus of a drone video of our venue with everyone having fun and engaging in our post-wedding candid celebrations. Lastly, the quality of his photos are beyond expected--they are super gorgeous, bright, and amazing quality! read more

I did an engagement photoshoot with Thanh. He is extremely talented and passionate about his work. My fiancée and myself didn't know any poses, but he directed us on how to pose. He gives raw pictures immediately, which is rarely given by others in the trade. The raw pictures he clicked are amazing. Most of them don't even require editing. We went to Pulgas Water Temple for a one hour shoot, but it went on for almost 1.5-2 hours. He is dedicated to his work and doesn't leave until all the moments are captured. His packages are quite reasonable and I highly recommend him! :) read more
