Smoothie bowl - the freeze dried pineapple was a lovely touch

When you walk into the garden at provisions, you find yourself in a secret garden with an amazing shaded ambiance, friendly service, and great food. The smoothie bowl was more topping than base, with interesting bites of freeze dried pineapples to add textures. The pea fritters with asparagus was perfect for spring!

I'm not sure what it is with the Otago region making all of their food so fancy, but as someone with a lot of food sensitivities, it made it hard to eat here. The chili egg scramble was really tasty and the server and chefs were more than accommodating. The shop and surrounding area are very cute and quaint.

Great place for some coffee and baked goods! I think all the previous reviews hyped up the sticky bun so much that is as a little underwhelmed when I took my first bite. That said, it's a solid sticky bun that goes very well with my oat flat white. Yes, I said OAT! This is the first cafe in NZ I ran into that served oat milk. If it's not raining, sitting outside is the best way to enjoy your stay at the cafe. If you're looking for outlets to charge, the seats indoors have this option. The internet is quite quick, so it's a great spot to crank out some things online since I have pretty poor connection where I'm staying in Arthur's Pass.

There's nothing general about the provisions here. The ingredients are high quality, the flavors are well balanced and the cafe itself is charming with a refined country feel. If you're lucky enough to visit on a warm day, dine outside and enjoy the fresh air on the patio.

We love the coziness of this place; it also helps that the food, especially the baked goods are absolutely amazing. Try the sticky buns, of course, and when we were there they had lemon curd donuts.... amazing. We've gone three mornings in a row. Yum. And thank you. Check out the photos.

Turkish breakfast- a bit stingy on the olives, but overall yummy!

We loved the menu choices - eggs bene and Turkish breakfast for lunch. Carrot and ginger soup good too. Lovely outdoor seating. The only thing I'd do different is to offer a whole grain bread. They say their sourdough has a bit of whole wheat I it, but it looked pretty snow white to me.

We are lucky enough to be staying across the street from here at Alchemy Cottage. I heard Provisions was THE place in town to get coffee, so I was excited to check it out. This morning I walked across and got sticky buns, a veggie frittata, and a vanilla latte to take back to the house. The latte was delicious and the food was tasty. A bit pricey, but for the convenience and selection of foods, it was worth it.

We were seated fast and ordered 2 coffees and pancakes with a pastry. My biggest standout were the pancakes, I'm a simple guy who likes my pancakes and they were oh so fluffy, chewy, dense and honestly that filled me up surprisingly a lot because I wasn't expecting them to be so big. They put real cherries and cream on top. The serving sizes are definitely generous. I recommend them for their breakfast and coffee, especially for the central location, great view and seating areas.

I ordered my go-to breakfast item, which is their Vudu Benedict ($30NZD), along with a cup of their Housemade Lemon Honey Ginger ($6). You order at their counter in the middle of the shop, and then they give you a number to take to your table. The tea came out pretty quickly, and the benedict followed maybe about 10 minutes after. The benedict was good, and while there was only 1 egg, the whole thing stuffed me for hours afterwards. The bread at the bottom was definitely the most filling part, and I was struggling to finish it all. They had a glass display with various bakery items, and they looked so good I was so tempted to get something even though I was stuffed from the benedict. If I ever come back to Queenstown I would definitely be coming back here to try some of those bakery items.
