Unfortunately, the owner is price gouging some good whiskeys that you'd rather travel to a bigger retail outlet for a better price.. I used to be a customer for many years of Leisers and Bj's for their selection, convenience and prices, not anymore. Convenience: There's plenty of parking, the wine store is next to a supermarket, a pizzeria, two banks, a hardware/everything else store (Raindew), a Dunkin' Donuts, a stationary store (the owners are sour and that's why I don't visit this place), a dinner, a Chinese food restaurant (like the pizzeria, good ambiance, specially for older white folks) and a Laundromat. Give me a break, if that isn't convenient, I don't know what is. Ambiance: Well lit, brand new furniture, wines and liquor well placed all around and still is spacious to walk around. Service: The owner is super friendly (unlike Leisers but not BJ's), he's always ready to help, if you give him a suggestion he'll listen and next time you visit his store you may find what you were looking for last time but didn't find. Prices: Competitive with those of Leisers and BJ's, no need for me to drive to Leisers (not a bad drive until you hit Northern Blvd.) or BJ's (20th Avenue is always a pain in my nipples. Neighborhood: Safe, quiet, friendly, nice people all around (only the occasional deuce bag but nothing mayor). Observations and suggestions: Between Malba, North Flushing and Whitestone we only have this liquor store besides the one on 14th Avenue in Whitestone (not cheap) and the one in Union Street by the H Mart (not cheap either), Provence is your best bet. Provence, if you don't have a website yet, build one as soon as possible with your inventory, prices, specials, advisory (schedule changes and so on), links to other useful websites, tips and everything else. read more

This store is located in a small shopping center on Parsons Blvd with plenty of parking. Pretty convenient location for your selection of beer, wines, & spirits for a pretty decent price. The store is well maintained, well lit, and well organized that you can easily find what you're looking for in a matter of minutes. And if you can't find a particular liquor -- the staff is more than happy to assist you. The owner of the store is also very helpful and knowledgeable. The first time I walked in the store, I was looking to make a white wine sangria and needed help looking for a nice bottle of Spanish table wine. I took the owner's suggestion and the sangria came out excellent. He has also recommended some bottles of wine to me and his suggestions has never disappointed me yet! I am fortunate to live very close by to this wonderful liquor store, located in a convenient strip mall next door to a supermarket, Dunkin Donuts, restaurants and banks. Provence Wine & Spirits hasn't been open for too long, so it's all shiny and new looking, great decor, comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The bottles are displayed beautifully in easy-to-browse aisles and on wall shelving. The selection is excellent, but if you can't find exactly what you're looking for, just let them know and they'll either find it for you, or try to make a special order. I always feel welcomed when I walk in the door, yet not aggressively stalked as I browse. I've already found a couple new favorite wines that I keep repurchasing there, at a great price, I might add. I recommend this store for wines in the north flushing area. They have more interesting selections than any other store in the area. Prices are good. Selecting a case of wines got me a 15% discount, which is more than most other places. read more
