Prior to the line-up for the SHINee event, I tried looking for staff or volunteers who could help direct me to where I would have priority entry to the event, however no one knew and everyone was flustered and confused. I found this frustrating but understandable from volunteers who weren't responsible for this information. When the crowd started forming, I was at the front with my two helpers, and we were constantly being told to move back despite our explanations that we had priority entry since I am disabled. We told staff and security that we were supposed to be in the accessible section of the performance, however when everyone was told to line up outside, I found myself being yelled at by security once again. Attendees also with accessibility accommodations were allowed to enter the hall for safety reasons, however when I asked to be let in as well, I was told to stay outside because I'm not in a wheel chair. We stayed where we were (in front of the entrance) until after everyone had left to line up. We continued to get told to go outside and line up, and we continued to explain why we weren't supposed to do that. After explaining the situation to abut 8 different staff members/security guards, we were yelled at by a security guard who would not listen to us. We kept explaining that we are supposed to be inside with the other people who are in the accessible section but he insisted we go outside because I wasn't in a wheel chair. I'm legally blind, my body works fine, and I guess he doesn't realize disability is not just someone in a wheelchair. I have never raised my voice at a security guard before, I am usually respectful to organizers and people who are there to do their job, but he was very rude and discriminating against me. When he finally decided to listen to our explanation, he told my two helpers to leave and get in the line and only I can go in the accessible section. That was when I started to raise my voice and a staff member came to de-escalate the situation. I can not explain the frustration and anger I felt from his disrespectful attitude and I really hope you can provide better instructions for your guards in future events. The security guards hired for this event were incredibly rude, disrespectful and did not help me when I needed it. I left the confrontation crying and sat to the side until given further instructions from the staff of the event. I hope you never encounter a situation where you need to help a disabled person again, you need to PROPERLY TRAIN your guards to handle these situations in a RESPECTFUL manner.
