Ian and…read moreLatchman came to my rescue when I needed help with stuff that needed to go to the dump, including old windows, ruined rugs, broken recycling bins and a heavy old wooden door that I had trouble lifting. I decided to give JDog a try after I read a glowing review of the company in the local newspaper. My experience went so well that now I'm the one posting the glowing review. The thing about JDog is that it employs veterans. I strongly believe in hiring veterans because I'm so grateful for their service to our country. The team arrived early. They were polite, nice and very strong. They made quick work of the project. They came in a very large truck. My stuff filled up about a quarter of the truck. I thought the price that I was charged was very reasonable for the amazing work they did. What surprised me was my reaction as they prepared to leave. I was so overjoyed, I think I must have looked like one of those happy customers in the commercials.

We personally feel that Lamanna was worth even more than we paid (Important to note that we've moved twice from NYC in the past 5 years, and city prices are very different.) I really thought I'd written this review already, but you know how crazy it can be when you move. I've got specifics about the guys on the crew, but I don't have the notes right now and can't remember, it's just too hectic still. Just know that Lamanna was prompt, careful, friendly, and super helpful. They are *serious* about being a good crew, and we were lucky to be able to book them. Steve was even good enough to help keep me from having a meltdown about a month before our move! I hope to update this later after we've actually settled in better, but honestly, things just keep piling up and I don't know when I'll get to it.

Service was efficient but still very careful to protect our belongings and the safety pf the 5 man crew. Everyone was very professional and our move went off without a hitch. Lamana's knows what they are doing. We packed our personal items, so the crew only had to move the furniture & boxes. They just needed us to direct them as to placement in our new house. In all, the entire process took about 5 hours. We should note my husband is immune compromised and all staff took precautions when it came to pandemic precautions. We are grateful for their professionalism and concern, in this regard. There was a GREAT article about Lamana's in the Albany Times Union on 9/2/20, this is a multigenerational family run business and they deserve the high praise and recognition. I've already passed them on to another friend who will be moving in the near future and to our realtor. I do recommend calling & booking as soon as you have a closing date. We were able to get them within a few days of our closing, but with the good press and so many happy customers, I'd say they're only going to get busier. Great job. Great local business. Can't say enough great things about them.
