Discovered this place (the St. Paul's branch) last week and finally got my first lunch from there today. I was so excited when I entered, the food looks really "clean", with no weird sauces and cooked in very little oil (if any).. just the way I love it! I got a box with chicken, asparagus and avocado. The chicken is lightly seasoned with some herbs, the asparagus steamed (I'm pretty sure there's no added salt, which I always prefer) and the avocado... well, it's just avocado. I am one of those pretty food-conscious people, I don't like unnecessary greasiness, complication and "hidden" ingredients in my food for 2 main reasons: health and fitness. I also feel like excessive seasoning and complexity are disrespectful towards the ingredients that the land genuinely offers. Natural ingredients don't need as much, they're already delicious as they are, naturally. I believe Protein Haus targets a food/health/body-conscious audience, whatever the reason(s) behind that choice, so I really hope they do well, especially in St. Paul's cause it's the spot that's closest to my office. It's pretty hard to find places with this kind of culture in London and in the UK in general, so I'm very very happy about this! read more
